Open Log: Now with 97% more molting!
Characters: Pit, anyone
What: Pit is undergoing extreme *~bodily changes~*like puberty or menstruation and is losing feathers like pocket change in a holy pocket.
Where: Up to you!
When: From Saturday, September 19th to Saturday, September 26.
Warnings: PINFEATHERS. 8C Self-conscious angels? Gdit. Not that he isn't going through perpetual molt already.
Basically, this is just a log where you can bump into Pit. Anywhere, anytime, anyone. Extra emphasis on ANYONE. You can find him in his room, you can meet him on the roof, down the halls, in between classes, in the courtyard, the common room, training at the stadium... anywhere! Just write in a date, time, and location. I will even wedge in a few starting threads to make it easier on those who can't think of a place/situation to interact with him. I should also mention that the further into the week you go, the worse his molt is. But I mean it: any excuse is good! I love tagging you guys, okay? 8C

Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
"Oh, uh, nothing," he replied, withdrawing the feather to his chest. "But..." He decided maybe Jeff would cheer up if he told him the truth. He probably would have given it to him anyway. "I think I found a good feather." He sat up. "One of the kinds I was talking about. See?" He presented the piece of plumage. The difference was incredibly subtle, but the sheen was there- this feather was glossier than its peers and when he twirled it at the shaft, it appeared to glimmer in the light. Even Pit seemed remarkably dazzled.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
"Looks like you were able to find one after all." He dumped the feathers that were still in his hands into the trash. Then he reached up and picked out the feather that had been behind his ear. Glancing at it for a moment, the blond placed it on his desk.

Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
It was hard to believe that just one feather could be magical and... what had Pit said? Give a person extra power? Something like that. Twirling it between his fingers, he quietly "hm-ed". Then he handed it back to his roommate. "What are you going to do with it?"

Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
A soft smile grew on his lips. "Thanks," he muttered. Looking around, he noticed there were still quite a few feathers lying about. "You know... Instead of just throwing all these out, we could probably use them. Like to make dream catchers or something."
Jeff had never actually made a dream catcher before. Those sorts of things were normally beneath him. But the idea of hanging one or two of the crafts along the walls would add atmosphere to the room. As long as Pit didn't mind his feathers being used for such things.

Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
His face twitched slightly as the feather tickled his skin. "Knock it off," he rolled his eyes, but made no move to swat the feather away.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
"I suppose it's a nice memento to have. I'd love to have a memento of everyone here that I can keep forever."
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
He tried not to let his agitation show. "Then I guess I should re-procreate the gift. After all, I have less than a year left here. I'm sure you'll want something to remember me by after I graduate." Not to mention the rest of 'forever.'
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
"That's right... you're leaving?" His head tilted upwards with the sad inquiry. Jeff Angel was a senior, his fellow grade level representative by four years. It was a rattling thought to know Jeff wouldn't stay his roommate for long. He was so accustomed to sharing space with him and his snide comments and arrogance and the rules of the room and respecting him and his belongings and the sight of him and precious moments like this and sleeping enclosed in the same walls... Wow. They would end. They would really, truly end.
One day, this side of the room would be stripped of all hints that Jeff had even been here. Pit was crushed beneath that ominous idea. Subconsciously, his hands wanted to scurry out from his lap and cling to his arm, but they resisted.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
Not that he really planned to return. What would he even teach? Hell, the only reason why Jeff came to the school in the first place was because of Hyde. Not that he had seen much of the other man lately. But who knew... Maybe if the blond didn't find anything else, he'd come back.

Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
Eyes cast down. "It's not 'were' Jeff. Is. You're still my roommate!" His hands slipped out of the tight space between his thighs.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
The only person he had ever felt anything for was Hyde, and that was fairly one-sided. So having someone call him a 'friend' and say that 'he was going to be missed' was a shocker.
Really... How was he supposed to respond to something like that? Even if he had been able to formulate the words, his voice would have caught in his throat. So he just sat there dumbly in silence.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
The moodiness brought on by the rapid change in his body may have been partially responsible. Then again, his sadness on the subject was great.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
"Ah! D-don't..." The words tumbled uselessly from his mouth. He had no idea what to say. But really, this situation was bound to happen eventually, right? Whether it was now, in a month, or the day before graduation, it didn't really matter.
Shutting up, he stopped trying to over think. There was no use in worrying about the inevitable. It was better to just let it happen. "It's okay," he muttered. "We've still got some time. At least long enough to build a few dream catchers, right?"
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
The fact that he mentioned making dreamcatchers warmed him but all at once pushed the date of Jeff's graduation dreadfully nearer in the angel's eyes. That made it seem as though that was all they would have time for before he vanished all together and the room fell bare. He nuzzled his arm as if to urge the other student not to go.
These feelings never happened before in all the years Pit had been in existence. Nobody left the palace in the sky unless it was to battle loss. He just wasn’t used to having people go away. Not just Jeff, either- oh no! There was everyone else, too! Max, Knuckles, Lash, Selene, Tubba, Tails... it went on and on and his heart plunked. He missed Palutena often, but he always knew he could come back. This was quite different. At that split second he shoved all the foreboding thoughts far away in an attempt to recover, if only just a cinch.
Re: Sept. 24th, BE-8
"Are you done yet? I still have homework I need to do. Not to mention a majority of the room is still a mess. If you really have time to bawl, then at least do it while being productive."
