Open Log: Now with 97% more molting!

Characters: Pit, anyone
What: Pit is undergoing extreme *~bodily changes~* like puberty or menstruation and is losing feathers like pocket change in a holy pocket.
Where: Up to you!
When: From Saturday, September 19th to Saturday, September 26.
Warnings: PINFEATHERS. 8C Self-conscious angels? Gdit. Not that he isn't going through perpetual molt already.

Basically, this is just a log where you can bump into Pit. Anywhere, anytime, anyone. Extra emphasis on ANYONE. You can find him in his room, you can meet him on the roof, down the halls, in between classes, in the courtyard, the common room, training at the stadium... anywhere! Just write in a date, time, and location. I will even wedge in a few starting threads to make it easier on those who can't think of a place/situation to interact with him. I should also mention that the further into the week you go, the worse his molt is. But I mean it: any excuse is good! I love tagging you guys, okay? 8C

"Hm?" Jeff blinked in surprise. Oh right, he had forgotten about that. His hand rose to his ear and he was about to grab it when Pit caught his attention. He was starting to find it annoying that the angel's antics could distract him so easily. "What is it?"

He studied the feather in the other's hands. It certainly was bigger and had a delicate sheen like Pit had said. Jeff was extremely tempted to steal the magical feather just to be an ass. But seeing the angel in such a good mood after their little argument, he decided against doing so.

"Looks like you were able to find one after all." He dumped the feathers that were still in his hands into the trash. Then he reached up and picked out the feather that had been behind his ear. Glancing at it for a moment, the blond placed it on his desk.

Quirking an eyebrow, Jeff shrugged and took the offered feather. It certainly didn't feel any different to him. If Pit hadn't described it before, the blond probably wouldn't have been able to pick it out of a pile. Then again, that was probably one of the reasons why the angel had found it and not him.

It was hard to believe that just one feather could be magical and... what had Pit said? Give a person extra power? Something like that. Twirling it between his fingers, he quietly "hm-ed". Then he handed it back to his roommate. "What are you going to do with it?"

"Is that so?" he asked. There was a long list of people that Pit could have meant. After all, it seemed to Jeff that the angel was almost always surrounded by others. Besides, it just wouldn't have been like Pit if he said he was going to keep it for himself. Sitting down on his bed, the blond commented, "I'm sure whoever you give it to will like it."

The blond blinked in confusion. Oh. So that's what Pit had meant. Jeff slowly glanced down at the feather.

A soft smile grew on his lips. "Thanks," he muttered. Looking around, he noticed there were still quite a few feathers lying about. "You know... Instead of just throwing all these out, we could probably use them. Like to make dream catchers or something."

Jeff had never actually made a dream catcher before. Those sorts of things were normally beneath him. But the idea of hanging one or two of the crafts along the walls would add atmosphere to the room. As long as Pit didn't mind his feathers being used for such things.

As Pit leaned against him, Jeff gently rested his head atop the other's. His fingers explored the feather in his hand. They traced the outline of the quill and softly ran across the barbs. "It could have something to do with that. Or it could be because they belonged to you. Maybe they just wanted a memento."

His face twitched slightly as the feather tickled his skin. "Knock it off," he rolled his eyes, but made no move to swat the feather away.

His smile slipped, lips quirking downward. Pit was so careless with his word choice. Of course the angel didn't mean anything by it, but Jeff simply had a bad habit of over analyzing things.

He tried not to let his agitation show. "Then I guess I should re-procreate the gift. After all, I have less than a year left here. I'm sure you'll want something to remember me by after I graduate." Not to mention the rest of 'forever.'

"Eventually," he shrugged. Truthfully, he felt a little guilty after he brought it up. But there really wasn't any point avoiding the matter. Still, that didn't stop the obnoxious voice in the back of his head that suggested that maybe he should sugarcoat the situation a bit. "But who knows, maybe I'll came back as a teacher. I mean, if they hire someone like Ganondorf, I'm sure I could get a job here easily enough."

Not that he really planned to return. What would he even teach? Hell, the only reason why Jeff came to the school in the first place was because of Hyde. Not that he had seen much of the other man lately. But who knew... Maybe if the blond didn't find anything else, he'd come back.

"I don't know what I'd teach either. Probably a more educated class. Maybe an English or a Science course," he suggested in a thoughtful tone. Although he didn't outwardly react to it, Pit's words meant a lot to him. Patting the angel on his head, Jeff replied, "I suppose you were acceptable as a roommate as well."

Jeff's hand paused, resting gently on Pit's head. He sat there quietly and listened to the angel attempt to fight off tears. After a moment or two, he spoke up. "Yeah, you're right... Sorry."

Oh geez, this was... rather emotionally overwhelming. Jeff wasn't used to that sort of thing. Being a loner for most of the time, he never had to bother about caring for others or wanting to be near someone. The only thing he ever worried about was making connections to help himself, not friendships.

The only person he had ever felt anything for was Hyde, and that was fairly one-sided. So having someone call him a 'friend' and say that 'he was going to be missed' was a shocker.

Really... How was he supposed to respond to something like that? Even if he had been able to formulate the words, his voice would have caught in his throat. So he just sat there dumbly in silence.

Oh god he's crying and I kind of can't feel my arm but how the hell do I stop him from crying this is all my fault FUCK! Jeff was internally freaking out. He had never been in this sort of situation before. Even if he had gotten used to Pit's easily changing emotions by this point, this was just too much. What was he supposed to do?!

"Ah! D-don't..." The words tumbled uselessly from his mouth. He had no idea what to say. But really, this situation was bound to happen eventually, right? Whether it was now, in a month, or the day before graduation, it didn't really matter.

Shutting up, he stopped trying to over think. There was no use in worrying about the inevitable. It was better to just let it happen. "It's okay," he muttered. "We've still got some time. At least long enough to build a few dream catchers, right?"

Jeff let out an annoyed sigh. It was understandable that such thoughts would depress his roommate. And it wasn't like the blond knew how to calm Pit down. But this was mentally tiring him out. Time to go with plan B.

"Are you done yet? I still have homework I need to do. Not to mention a majority of the room is still a mess. If you really have time to bawl, then at least do it while being productive."
