Watermelon smashing! A day at the beach.

Kirby had the things ready. He got a few very large watermelons that made his mouth water just by looking at it, he had borrowed a bat from Ness ahead of time, a cloth for blindfolding, and he was actually was able to find out how to get to the beach. The beach actually wasn't that far away! He made sure to leave the directions to get to the beach for the others before he left the school grounds.

The pink ball set the large bag into the sand and stretched a little while he waited for the others to come. The clear sky was perfect for a day at the beach!

Here came Jake, ready for an afternoon at the beach. He had white swim trunks on, his headphones and waterproof MP3 player on, and perhaps most unusually he had a microphone stand slung over his shoulder.

"Hey, bra," Jake greeted.

Tails wasn't about to miss a chance at being at the beach. Especially to have fun with some other students playing a game he'd be trying out today.

Coming down to the beach, he waved at Kirby and Jake.

"Hey, guys!"

And then Pit arrived, lacking his usual overdressed garbs; this time, he only wore the shorts that covered his ler regions beneath the white exomus he tended to wear, coupled with a dark tank top. His sandals were more simple. He appeared to have flown in and landed with a few extra wing flaps in order to hit the sand with less force. A soft sifting noise sizzled through the ocean air as he alighted.

Ah! There was Kirby, Jake, and Tails! He hurried over to their spot on the sand with his arm waving about. Obviously Pit was bursting with excitement at all the prospects of fun. "Hey everyone!" he chirped, carrying the towel he brought in his other arm.

Ulty came up to the group in a cheerful plodding jog, wearing a pair of blue hawaiian-print swim trunks and a towel clutched in his chubby fist. This would be fun! There was a game to play and maybe some yummy fruit to be had at the end if they were lucky

"HELLO FRIENDS!" he called as he ran up to the group.

It had been a while since Lash had done an activity with her little brother Kirby. Plus he had promised violence against large fruits, ergo there was no way she could refus-awww crap she should have known better to come here. At least Jake was there.

Eh, she owed Pit one and she'd be hitting the crap out of him soon, so she might as well socialize a little and place nice.

She walked towards the group in an Adder-approved bikini two piece, a black towel draping over her shoulders.

Awwwww... Lash had to be here. Here she comes... He hoped she wouldn't make his life difficult. Not that he couldn't handle it or anything. She was just a little irritating at all some points in their life.

...He'd never seen her in a swimsuit like that before. It certainly was... different. He watched the waves from afar slurp up the beach sand.

Alright! She knew everyone but that mutant squirrel with the twin tails, that was a pretty good ratio. The weather was nice today too (and perfect for smashing object.) Lash took off her sandals and let the wet beach sand run in between her toes.

"Hello guys! Hey Pit. Hey mutant squirrel."

Yeay people started showing up! Kirby was starting to feel unsure whether they got the directions to the beach.

"Hi poyo!" He greeted everyone with a wave and a smile. "I got lots of watermelons poyo!"

He pointed towards the rather large pile of watermelons that was off to the side. It was a surprise that he didn't eat any of them while he carried them from the grocery store. He then blinked a few times as noticed a change in behavior between Lash and Pit. Kirby hat not clue what went on between them two but this didn't feel like fun.

"Poyoyo! It's a really sunny day today poyo! We'll have lots of fun poyoyo!!"

"Hey, bra," Jake greeted his friend Lash, raising his free hand to high five her.

"Hey Jake." she giggled, giving him a high five (and still not quite understanding the point of it). She turned towards Kirby.

"I made sure to put on sunscreen this time!"

Max showed up wearing bright orange trunks. Terrifyingly orange. Max liked orange. And also he had a beach towel and a general lack of shirt.

All Max had heard was "food" and "hitting things" and he'd been out to eat with the little pink round guy before and usually that meant 'a lot of food.'

"Alright, who needs stuff hit?" Max said as he came up, sort of flexing a little bit as he asked. "I've got the guns to take 'em out."

Mir was a little late showing up. So he hurried over as quickly as possible when he spotted Kirby, Tails and some other kids from school. "Hey!"

Oh crap, it was Max, one of the last people Lash wanted to see right now. she still wasn't sure what to do with him. Be nice, be cruel? Something in between? His rock-hard abs were not really impressing her. Was he flexing? Maybe he hadn't noticed that Lash was the only female of the group. She groaned a little and facepalmed where he couldn't see her before turning around and talking to him.

"Max, I don't think we'll be shooting the watermelons. We are hitting them with bats. And believe me, I'm one of the first people disappointed by the no shooting rule."

Okay! Now that people have gotten together, maybe he could start the watermelon smashing! But first he probably needed to explain how to play the game...

"Okay poyo! The game goes like this, poyo, we go in turns and try to hit the watermelon! The person who gets to hit the watermelon has to have blind folds poyo," he raised a cloth to show the others, "and someone has to spin them around so they would be dizzy poyo! And then they go try to find the watermelon and when they think they're in front of it, they swing the bat!"

He blinked a few times, going over what he said just to make sure nothing was left out.

"Poyoo! We set the watermelon before the person gets blindfolded poyo, otherwise it's not fair poyo." He added in the end, giggling a little as he scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed.

"Lash, guns is slang for biceps," said Max. "I was, uh, you know. Sayin' I got really good biceps. For hittin' stuff." Did he flex a little more? He did.

This was the end result of getting Max shirtless, wasn't it? It didn't matter there were no girls around but Lash to see him, he was still going to flex.

"I'll go first if you wanna," said Max, eager to hit something with a bat.

Tails waved at the others as well, including Pit. Towards Lash, he just rose an eyebrow and said, "I'm not a mutated squirrel, I'm a fox!"

Ribbon was very late to the party, but there is good reason. Riding on her backpack is the baby she and Peach were supposed to take care of for the Sex Ed project. Forutnately, Peach's turn to care for the little one is tomorrow, so the fairy will have more time to do fun things with her friends.

Well... more specifically, people she know, which isn't a lot.

"Hi guys! Sorry I'm late!" She said excitedly as she approached the group. She only have her usual clothes on, cause she won't be doing much activity due to the baby. Still, it doesn't hurt to watch others have fun... and eat a watermelon of course.

It was Tails' turn with the bat. He signalled to the others that he was ready and near a watermelon - someone needed to blindfold him and to spin him.

"A'ight, my turn!" Jake said. He hefted the microphone stand. He was planning to use it instead of the bat, wasn't he? Oh god, he was.

Oh dear. Ulty was taking a turn now! He gripped the bat in his hand and looked around. "ULTY JUST TRY TO HIT IT RIGHT?"

If there are watermelons, Yoshi will come.

Why was he at the beach? How did he know there would be others there with watermelon? It is a mystery of the ages.

Where there was once watermelon lying on the beach, there was now a Yoshi, licking his lips.

The watermelon smashing was so fun! After each person was able to smash one, Kirby gathered the remaining watermelons and used up-B move got a knife out from his backpack and cut the fruits open. It took some time, but once he was able to cut them all, he called out to the others.

"Poyo~ Let's eat watermelons poyo~" He said, waving at the others cheerfully.
