ZOOLOGY WEEK SEVEN, LAB FIVE!

Today is a special class, folks!

I have a species of specimen that just arrived this morning after being on back order since my first year on the job! I just HAD to push this week's original assignment on hold!

So, ladies and gents... Today's assignment will be on SNIFITS!

Here's your handout on the subject...
These creatures come from various parts of the Mushroom Kingdom, Yoshi's Island, and the dream world of Subcon. They spit bullets from

BEFORE WE GET TO THE GLORIOUS CUTTING...
WE'RE GOING TO WATCH A DOCUMENTARY!



Then you will all proceed to pair up with each other and take a snifit from the pile in front of the room to get started.


The task is simply to find where it's balls are stored and by balls I mean bullets, you crazy sick bastards. Then you will each take a ball and observe it under a microscope.

Please note that even though these snifits are indeed DEAD and dripping with formaldehyde which is getting on my clothes from holding this one up for so long. uggh., standing one upright and bopping it square on the scalp will indeed make it fire bullets. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS. You will also fail the assignment if you hand me a fired bullet instead of a dissected one. It's not hard to tell the difference!

So I'll get the projector started and we'll go on with the movie...

Alright, then... *already has gloves on, scalpel in hand, and cuts open the robe thing and then into the Snifit* ...Huh. Looks like they're stored somewhere instead of out in the open or something. Time to play "Guess the Organ" again, hooray. *cuts a random organ and a bit of who-knows-what gushes out* ...Oh, gross, that is not the bullet sac.

Now, we try something else, and hope I don't find Goo-Filled Organ Number Two. *kind of pokes around with the scalpel, careful not to nick anything, before then slicing open something a little lower than where he started and...* Aha! There's what we've been looking for! Apparently, it's in its... Um, does this thing technically have an abdomen? Ah, whatever, it's near the stomach. *picks out a couple bullets*

~crinches nose~ Yuck! ~starts writing with mouth again~ Buwwet sac in abomin. ~drops pencil, climbs up onto the table, and with her head pushes two microscopes to where they're sitting~ Just have to look at these and we're done right?

Yep. *puts one on each slide under the microscopes and looks into one* ...Well, I'd say it looks a lot rougher than you'd think. Weird, actually...

Liiike kidneystones, only it's a normal body function instead of a disease. My dad had kidneystones at one point so I heard alot about them.

Huh. No one I know has ever had them, I think. But, now that I think of it, it makes some more sense. I always thought that maybe they found rocks somewhere and made it into ammo. Although, maybe they get smaller ones anyway to digest or something and use what they get from to produce into it anyway.
