DRAMABALLS: THE LOG
Who: YOU AND YOU
What: Eggman and Seth's evil plans have been revealed, and this is the catch-all fight log.
Where: around campus/in FDC/AROUND
When: Monday, August 26th
Warnings: heartache and tragedy within
Reference links: plotting post, network post
Perhaps you watched it happen before your very eyes, perhaps word makes it to you via phone, or a friend pulls you over to watch the feed play back. One way or another, you realize a huge drama bomb has been dropped into your laps, Smash Academy:
Eggman's robots are mobilizing.
Seth is some huge, psychotic asshole drug lord hellbent on subverting everyone with clones.
And they're fighting it out on top of a building in FDC and it's being televised.
(What the hell.)
...Or perhaps you are unfortunate enough to not realize any of that until it's too late, and you have been captured and robotsized by Eggman. Perhaps it's less noticeable and you feel like you bumped your head against something and blacked out just for a second. Weird, but you feel totally fine and nothing seems wrong.
Not yet.

TEAM: COMMANDEER THE ROBOTISIZING MACHINE
It may seem tempting, very tempting, at first to simply destroy the robotisizing machine to prevent Eggman's army from growing anymore, but perhaps someone with a little more experience in the way Eggman works points out that would also effectively destroy any chances of easily saving those who have already been turned into robots. Your mission is to storm through the Egg Carrier and secure the machine. It will be no easy task as the veritable floating fortress hovers high in the air above FDC and is loaded with badniks galore, but surely you will be able to figure something out.
Good luck, team!

Infiltrating the Egg carrier was the obvious choice--Robotnik was turning students into robots somehow, and it was likely the means by which he was doing it was safely tucked away in his floating fortress.
So the immediate problem, she thought to herself as she eyed the hovering monstrosity from the roof of the clocktower, was how to reach it.
no subject
Oh no, it's this guy. Apple Kid.
no subject
"Hey, guys." Knuckles said as he finally finished scaling the wall of the clock tower. "I guess you two had a similar idea, huh? Highest point on Campus.... still not nearly high enough, though...."
He was glad to see them both. He and Sheik worked pretty darn well together in general, and Apple Kid was amazing. He'd probably already figured out a way to propel them up to the Egg Carrier.
no subject
Because someone else scaled the clock tower and entered via the window. Voila. There was a cloaked man loaded to the brim with weapons. They were not robots and they seemed to look...fine? He didn't know them. And he couldn't know that for a fact since he never met any of them.
He just went through hell, forgive him. He took out his bow but didn't load it yet. He didn't speak until he started hearing Knuckles. So they WERE doing the same thing...so.
"We seem to all want to go up there."
no subject
Gordon stepped out onto a lower rooftop, squinting up at Connor and the Egg Carrier both in his line of sight. Gordon had also been roughed up down on school grounds and was not as skilled at climbing as Connor, in fact he was a little astounded at the man's abilities.
For the record... he'd taken the elevator.
"We can't do anything from down here. What we need is something small and maneuverable, that has the ability to vertically land so we can deploy once we get up there..." He mutters aloud, shielding his eyes from the sun. "...Or a catapult, if you're into breaking every bone in your body."
no subject
"Please hand me my portable elevator in a can," he said to the mouse that was also in his overalls. The mouse dipped down into his front bib and came up with what looked like a tin can of tuna with a light switch scotch-taped to the front.
"It works on the principle of 'pairs of feet squared' to stories conversion," explained the fat child. "A single person has the footpower to achieve a single story, whereas two have the power to create two stories. However, a third person creates four, a fourth eight, a fifth sixteen, and six generates thirty-two different stories."
He looked above them with his beady Apple Kid eyes. "Sadly I would say that the ship is above sixteen stories in height above us. We will need a sixth person to extend our possibilities to ascend above this."
But where, dear reader, would they find this mythical sixth person?
no subject
no subject
But just in case, here was a sixth person now, taking the most direct route and just straight-up flying up to the clock tower's peak -- the angelic wings decorating his combat armor might have mostly been for decoration, but the designers had at least been kind enough to build him with flight capability. He looked sort of surprised that so many people'd apparently all had the same idea, but... well, that probably made sense, didn't it? If robots were a problem, then aiming for the source of the issue was the obvious solution.
"Oh... am I interrupting something?"
no subject
Apple Kid held out the tin can in his hand. "We were hoping to leave shortly."
no subject
It was shame that the only one he knew here was Gordon, so he didn't have many first name basis.
What WAS this thing anyway...kid? Yeah it was some kid. Connor knew looks were deceiving and he shouldn't let him be deceived. So. He just had to do his own check to see if this kid could even do what he hoped.
He didn't understand current, let alone Apple Kid's, mechanics...but he knew the appropriate questions.
"You. Could you figure out a way to change people affected by that machine back?"
no subject
no subject
This was it. This was Apple Kid's moment.
However, she knew their window of opportunity was small, depending on how long it took Eggman to beat Seth, or vice versa. She wasn't sure about this motley crew, but they would have to suffice.
"We shouldn't waste any more time."
no subject
Not the important part. He could question that later. He knew Knuckles, at least, was a capable fighter -- he'd held his own against Zero, apparently, right? The others were a mystery, but the rosy-cheeked one seemed to be some kind of engineer, if he could handle reversing the effects of the machine responsible for all the robots running around. At the very least, he'd been built exactly for this kind of thing: protecting humankind from sketchy dangerous robots.
"If we're all here, then I think we're all prepared to hold off whatever might come our way while you work. The bandaged one's right; we should strike while we can."
no subject
He tumbled through the window and onto the roof. He took his tin can with the lightswitch on the front, and flipped the switch, then set the can down. He stepped back about five feet from it.
The can... started to melt. It spread itself out thinly across the roof and then in the glistering sunlight, formed a perfect square, five feet by five feet. Rising up from the sides, a delicate latticework of wires rose, intertwining and forming a loose fence, until reaching approximately eight feet in height, and then stopped. It looked too airy and ethereal to bear the weight of the mouse, let alone Apple Kid and Friends (TM).
The floor was at least solid. Though fabulously thin. The little light switch had migrated up to one of the walls. The entire process took approximately twenty seconds to complete.
A bell chimed, and the latticework wall in front of Apple Kid split into two. Some... music... started playing softly.
"Please, everyone get in," instructed Apple Kid. He and his mouse entered the fairy-floss structure first. Somehow, it did not buckle beneath him, although by all accounts it should have.
no subject
Gordon had a lot to say about square-foot-to-story-ratio that he'd planned to say when he actually got to the top of the tower. But his discourse was halted--ran into the ground, really--when he saw Apple Kid's portable elevator actually become elevator-ish. He gaped, and after a moment decided to just shut the hell up and get in the elevator anyway.
no subject
In fact, he only trusted it until he saw everyone else get it.
He will be the next on board after Gordon.
no subject
no subject
One more member of the entourage on board.
no subject
He stepped onto the metal platform after X.
"And there's definitely a way to reverse the machine's effects - He said so after the last time he tried to robotisize a student. Only... heh. I kinda smashed the machine that time. Won't do that again."
no subject
When Knuckles entered the elevator, the wire doors swung gracefully shut and Apple Kid said, "Egg Carrier Level, please."
The elevator began to ascend gracefully through the air, rising far above the school. From up here, the devastation of fighting robots could seen more clearly. The device rose to the Egg Carrier and deposited them on an outside landing pad with a ding. Apple Kid reached over and flipped the lightswitch to the 'off' position.
The wires melted down and the floor re-condensed into a tin can. The elegant music stopped playing. Everyone felt its loss deeply in their hearts.
no subject
Gordon shuffled in place as the elevator rose. Coughed.
"..."
Man, that music was annoying.
"..."
DING. The woosh of high-altitude air met him as he stepped out with the others.
"Alright, Knuckles. You were up here before, so you should have an idea where the machine is. I doubt he'd moved it since last time because a machine like that probably has a hell of a power draw, and needs to be located somewhere where it can get it. Let me guess... the power core in the deepest part of the ship, right?"
no subject
Connor stepped out to immediately feel out of his element.
But he was shocked to see that they weren't attacked right away.
"...The guards. I see none."
no subject
"If what Knuckles says is true, then our goal is not to destroy the machine. We need to keep it intact so that we're able to restore the students and faculty once this is over."
Knuckles and Apple Kid were more than familiar to her. It was the others--the ones she didn't know as well--that she was worried about.
"Our aim is to find the machine and hold it hostage."
no subject
"I'm presuming that all of us are capable enough of defending ourselves. If not, try to stick to the middle of the group. The one with the glasses has the right idea; Knuckles, if you're familiar with this ship, can you lead the way?"
