MAKEOVER!

Who: Shantae and Alorah
What: MAKEOVERS and PROM DRESSES!
Where: Starts at their dorm
When: Backdated to May 28

Shantae had never been to a prom before. Heck, she'd never been to a formal ball before. But there was always a first time for everything. And seeing as she didn't have that experience, she had to defer to someone who did.

That's why, that day when Shantae returned to the dorm and found Alorah there, she asked, "Hey, do you know what we have to do to get ready for the prom?"

Did she. DID SHE.

It wasn't really a huge secret that Alorah loved pretty dresses. Being able to wear something fancy was the whole highlight of prom in her eyes. There was no denying that she definitely lit up when Shantae posed the question to her -- she immediately sat up, putting her knitting aside.

"Well, yes... do you need some help?" She asked, trying not to sound too really super eager.

"Oh, absolutely!" Alorah blurted, maybe like half a decibel louder than usual. That's how you know she's amped.

"I can help you with your hair and makeup, and... oh, I haven't seen your dress yet! Can I take a look?"

Oh. Oh dear.

"Um..." said Alorah. Poor Shantae really wasn't familiar with the whole hubbub around proms, was she? "You could wear a suit if you wanted to, but prom is definitely a formal occasion. Don't worry, though! If you don't have anything, we can fix that easily enough!"

"With the dress, of course! You can leave the rest to me, but it's absolutely vital you have something to wear that you like!" Hair and makeup, Alorah could definitely manage. Shoes and accessories... most girls had something around that would work with an event like prom, and if not, Alorah could lend a few things from her own closet.

But the outfit itself... oh, trying on dresses was the most important part! (And the most fun, of course, but Alorah might have been biased.)
