(Open Log) Dance Club - Prom Edition
Who: Shantae, Poor Unfortunate Souls
What: Shantae gives emergency dance lessons for the clueless before Prom.
Where: The Dance Studio
When: May 19 - 30
Shantae had never seen a prom before, but she had heard of grand balls at the Sequin Land Palace. And knowing it was going to involve a big formal dance, Shantae knew that was a subject people were going to be very interested. So when the next set of posters for the Dance Club went up, they all announced proudly that she would be offering ballroom dancing lessons. One on one or in the club. She had learned from Inigo that some people might not want to learn this kind of thing in a big group, and she wanted to accommodate those people.
Her poster making quality had not gone up since her first flyer. Incidentally, she discovered the existence of gel pens.

But luckily enough, he didn't mind learning in a group setting! So he just showed up to the club meeting.
"Hi!"

Completely by mistake. Yes, the normally careful and punctual Kiyotaka had mixed up the scheduling between private sessions and dance meetings. It was his own damn fault, really - he was so flustered over the realization that having a girlfriend meant he probably couldn't skip this stupid prom thing and that he probably needed to learn how to dance this year that he scribbled down the wrong time and high-tailed it out of the halls before he was caught staring at the poster.
So here he was. Already feeling fifty shades of humiliated. What if he just ran away.
Nah, he couldn't do that. He was just going to have to deal with his mistake. Either way, he was accomplishing his goal of learning to dance, so...
"I--! I am here for a dance lesson!"

Awww. Look. It was Vivian's Mom! Maybe he wanted to learn so he could teach Vivian how to do it too? That would be really nice.
...hopefully this lesson would be a little less chaotic than last time. With arguments and elephants and guys hiding in barrels.

Kiyotaka might not have known him all that well, but besides accidentally eating shadow bugs he seemed like a decent enough guy. Definitely one of the less chaotic participants in the Great Friendship Pony Disaster of 2014. And really? Seeing that the club wasn't even packed almost put him more at ease. Almost.
Not that one could tell with how rigid as a board he remained as he answered Shantae. "You don't dance at a wedding!" Spoiler alert: he had never actually been to a wedding. But he certainly didn't associate them with dancing. "But I have never danced anywhere."

And stay focused, Sonny Moe.
"Oh, wait, no. I've never done formal dancing. Just regular dancing with my Brother Marie while we listened to Justin Beiver."
So... jumping around like an idiot basically.

His only option was to cast Sonny to the wolves.
"Well... Since Sonny Moe already has the most experience between the two of us, it only makes sense that he should demonstrate!"
Jumping around like an idiot wasn't experience, Taka.

"OK! I'll volunteer! What should I do?"
He took a step towards Shantae and rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet. His body was ready.

Jeez, dancing already looked way too intimate for someone as prudish as he was. But he would be strong and watch very intently.

"Hrm. OK! I'm ready!"
