BLIND DATES: A TABLES
Who: We shall see.
What: BLIND DATES
Where: Restaurant off-campus.
When: 29th November, 2013.
Warnings: It is a mystery.
TAG YOUR CHARACTERS WHEN YOU REPLY. It's the fun thing to do.
[This restaurant is known for its seafood, steak, and sushi selection. The food is cooked in the open for the costumers to watch being prepared, the odd sound of fire flaring up on the grill heard as certain dishes are put together!
Despite the fancy entertainment the décor is simple and spacious, but not unsightly. There's a Japanese feel to the place, the colours of red and black dominating the furnishings. People are simply dressed, and invited diners are told to dress the same; not too formal, not too casual.
The music played matches the laid-back atmosphere, catchy but not distracting. Chatter mingles in with it, and may help to ease some dates this tonight. Or not.
The candles on the table here are-- candles? There are no candles here! But on the tables reserved for the academy, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination. Find your table!]

Oh bro, you have no idea how hard he is fucking himself into a corner. But check this out. He's picking up a menu to obscure himself from Mawrow so only you can see his thumbs-up back. Then he pretends to read it.

Once she settled down, Mawrow wiped mirthful tears from her eyes and smiled, a few snickers here and there before she spoke.
"Wow, baby boy you sure you're up for tonight? Or are ya always this flustered mijo?" She paused for a moment, a mischievous smile crossing her lips. "Though I guess I can't be blamin' ya, they kind of get in the damn way all the time. You know how annoyin' it is tryin' ta cook in a hurry and then ya got these dang things knocking shit around?"
Hopefully a more relaxed playful banter would ease him, or maybe make him more awkward. Either or, it was a win/win for a fun dinner.

If he were back home and any of his bros caught wind of this, he'd be a source of comedy for weeks... maybe even months. But the whole restaurant was sort of twisting heads at this hideous display of conduct and the unwanted attention of strangers was bad enough. It's too bad he couldn't prove himself right on the flustered front- his face was stained up like a ripening tomato.

Marrow's tone turned a bit lower and warm, "Hey, hey, sorry ki-Err, dude, I didn't mean ta offend you. C'mon, settle down and let's enjoy a nice filling meal full of delicious meats and fancy coctails kay? It's a nice night, it'd be a shame t' waste it don't you think?"

The waitress had been hesitant to approach their table when Mondo was shouting like that, so she was a bit on edge when she appeared. Not like Mondo was any different- he mumbled his order of steak, shrimp, and beer sorely as though he was trying to keep a tooth from falling out of his mouth.

Once it was her turn to order, Mawrow ordered up skies, seas and plains dish along with wine before she thanked the waitress with an appologetic look. Once she was gone, she gave one last once over towards Mondo before simply looking away. No point in stoking the furnace she thought. She'd let it simmer down if it ever did and if not, well, at least she could try to listen in on any gossip going around the restaurant.

Thank god he could fish something out, he thought when he started with, "Don't think I caught your name. Mine's Mondo, Mondo Oowada, by the way."

She turned to face him and nodded in acknowledgement. "Mawrow," she replied. "Just Mawrow. Just arrived to the school honestly."

"Sounds like this place likes keeping you on your toes..." And she didn't look all too pleased about that. It made her wonder what her poor dears from Red Team had been facing here.
"Do the people in charge not do anything about it?"
no subject
He paused to reconsider something. "Though, I dunno if it's as messed up as the last school I went to, but it's still messed up."
no subject
Though, the last bit caught her attention. "Been in rough places before this place too? Must have crossed the wrong black cat." Even though her wording might have been a bit weird, there was clear concern in her voice.

"You don't have to explain it if it makes you feel uncomfortable hon."
no subject
He'd already explained it before, so this time wasn't really as bad- especially since he wasn't talking to his dead brother about it in detail.
no subject
"That's... that's horrible...How... how did you all get out??" she asked bewildered.

She felt a bit awkward for mentioning that but the latter comment did catch her attention back to him. "Technically? What, were you like in a coma? Or you got knocked out and then ressucitated? " She wasa bit confused.

It would take strength to tell the truth upfront like this, he decided. If she went ahead and told other people about him, turn him into a red flag, then that was fine. It only seemed right that he carry with him the burden of guilt and shame when it was rightly warranted.
"...I was executed," he admitted.
no subject
Sorry Mondo, she can't quite wrap her head around your school...
no subject
"In a way, but... it could have been prevented if I'd just..." A pause fragmented his explanation. "...been able to control myself back there. I sorta lost my shit and wound up killin' someone. I don't wanna go into detail, but... I guess you could say I'm the reason I was executed. So it wasn't like I didn't deserve it." He realized the confusion that might be brought about by his status before her as living. "And don't ask me how I'm alive right now, 'cause I've got no fucking idea."
no subject
She would have moved a hand on top of his to comfort him but.... she was short. And she couldn't reach over the table to him... so instead she offered as best a comforting look as she could.
"Wow... dang mijo... I'm really sorry you had to go through that. Whether you deserved it or not, the situation seems filled with despair. Especially amongst your friends... It must have been horrible..."
As for the 'resurrection'? She wouldn't ask, though she was curious about it.
