BLIND DATES: A TABLES
Who: We shall see.
What: BLIND DATES
Where: Restaurant off-campus.
When: 29th November, 2013.
Warnings: It is a mystery.
TAG YOUR CHARACTERS WHEN YOU REPLY. It's the fun thing to do.
[This restaurant is known for its seafood, steak, and sushi selection. The food is cooked in the open for the costumers to watch being prepared, the odd sound of fire flaring up on the grill heard as certain dishes are put together!
Despite the fancy entertainment the décor is simple and spacious, but not unsightly. There's a Japanese feel to the place, the colours of red and black dominating the furnishings. People are simply dressed, and invited diners are told to dress the same; not too formal, not too casual.
The music played matches the laid-back atmosphere, catchy but not distracting. Chatter mingles in with it, and may help to ease some dates this tonight. Or not.
The candles on the table here are-- candles? There are no candles here! But on the tables reserved for the academy, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination. Find your table!]

Once it was her turn to order, Mawrow ordered up skies, seas and plains dish along with wine before she thanked the waitress with an appologetic look. Once she was gone, she gave one last once over towards Mondo before simply looking away. No point in stoking the furnace she thought. She'd let it simmer down if it ever did and if not, well, at least she could try to listen in on any gossip going around the restaurant.

Thank god he could fish something out, he thought when he started with, "Don't think I caught your name. Mine's Mondo, Mondo Oowada, by the way."

She turned to face him and nodded in acknowledgement. "Mawrow," she replied. "Just Mawrow. Just arrived to the school honestly."

"Sounds like this place likes keeping you on your toes..." And she didn't look all too pleased about that. It made her wonder what her poor dears from Red Team had been facing here.
"Do the people in charge not do anything about it?"

He paused to reconsider something. "Though, I dunno if it's as messed up as the last school I went to, but it's still messed up."
no subject
Though, the last bit caught her attention. "Been in rough places before this place too? Must have crossed the wrong black cat." Even though her wording might have been a bit weird, there was clear concern in her voice.

"You don't have to explain it if it makes you feel uncomfortable hon."
no subject
He'd already explained it before, so this time wasn't really as bad- especially since he wasn't talking to his dead brother about it in detail.
no subject
"That's... that's horrible...How... how did you all get out??" she asked bewildered.

She felt a bit awkward for mentioning that but the latter comment did catch her attention back to him. "Technically? What, were you like in a coma? Or you got knocked out and then ressucitated? " She wasa bit confused.

It would take strength to tell the truth upfront like this, he decided. If she went ahead and told other people about him, turn him into a red flag, then that was fine. It only seemed right that he carry with him the burden of guilt and shame when it was rightly warranted.
"...I was executed," he admitted.
no subject
Sorry Mondo, she can't quite wrap her head around your school...
no subject
"In a way, but... it could have been prevented if I'd just..." A pause fragmented his explanation. "...been able to control myself back there. I sorta lost my shit and wound up killin' someone. I don't wanna go into detail, but... I guess you could say I'm the reason I was executed. So it wasn't like I didn't deserve it." He realized the confusion that might be brought about by his status before her as living. "And don't ask me how I'm alive right now, 'cause I've got no fucking idea."
no subject
She would have moved a hand on top of his to comfort him but.... she was short. And she couldn't reach over the table to him... so instead she offered as best a comforting look as she could.
"Wow... dang mijo... I'm really sorry you had to go through that. Whether you deserved it or not, the situation seems filled with despair. Especially amongst your friends... It must have been horrible..."
As for the 'resurrection'? She wouldn't ask, though she was curious about it.

"Look at me turning this nice night into bad memories eh? Let's enjoy the meal and maybe speak of more pleasant things..." she paused, looking down a little before speaking.
"Anything that makes you happy in this place?"
no subject
"It sure as hell ain't what I'm used to," he began as a way to pedal himself into considering what did make him happy nowadays. The pickings were slim, and whatever happiness he managed to scrape together was fleeting, embedded in passing moments when the rest of it seemed bleak and dismal. "...Well. I got friends. A second chance. I may not have my gang, but sometimes, I ride alone into the city. I guess it's kind of exciting in its own right. Something's always goin' on, and it's never boring when it's all new and strange." It never really occurred to him until he gave voice to it.
"And sometimes, I just ride out past that. The ocean air streaming past my face feels nostalgic."
no subject
Mawrow drank a bit before continuing. "I've always wanted to visit the beach, look at the ocean and maybe see a sunrise or a sunset. I bet it's a lot different than in the movies or novelas." she mused.
"I'll have to pass by there some time."
Though what he said was true, at least from what she had heard from her team.
"I wonder what new and crazy thing this city will pop out," she added with a laugh.
