FOR PIT - THE BUNKERS

Wheatley was very excited about this--in fact, he was so surprised that none of this had occurred to him before! GLaDOS had inhabited the bunkers before her UNTIMELY DEMISE. Surely she hadn't cleaned up. There was bound to be all sorts of Aperture technology just lying around!

He could not, in good conscience, let his curiosity go unfulfilled.

And he'd found someone who knew the place, even! All he had to do was glide back and forth on the rail at the library's entrance at the appointed meeting time, waiting for his helpful helper to come ADVENTURE.

Wheatley did it, guys.

He found a thing.

He was currently getting acclimated to said thing. Though he'd spent some time with legs before, this body was a different shape and size and, as it turned out, a completely different animal. It was going to take some practice, but that was okay. He had time. He had the entire campus at his disposal. No more rails.

Everything was perfect and so much better than he ever could have dreamed. Mobility! Independence without squishy human inconveniences! Tripping over himself and clomping around campus with no regard for things he might knock over!
