Indeed, ever since that casual Monday outing turned tragic, civil unrest and tensions have been high again in FDC, and worse yet; fingers are starting to be pointed in Smash Academy's direction. After long since flying under the radar of this whole mess, no attacks have happened on the school yet, but who's to say how long that will last?

The city is tumultuous. It's not impossible to still have a completely incident-less outing, but it would be wise to not go out and about with your Smash Academy uniforms on for all to see. Not unless you like fearful whispers and hissing insults behind your back. Even a simple trip to the grocery store could prove dangerous if you aren't careful.

Maybe you're a little more creative however, and are able to purposefully mask features that might otherwise identify you, or you sneak around in the dead of night using the shadows as your cover...

Humans now tend to segregate themselves with other humans, "freaks" tend to ostracize anyone not of their kin, and all this negativity intensifies rapidly if those colorful candy pops are present. Crime and riots are now common than occasional. The FDC Police manages most of the affairs but they can't prevent everything, and would probably appreciate a helping hand regardless if it's from a human or a "freak"... though thanks and courtesy may go one way or another depending on who/what you are.

Who knows, maybe you'll save someone's life and give them a better appreciation for the things you do instead of what you are...


[[As it says on the tin, HERE'S AN OPEN LOG, GO NUTS. Get together with some of your buddies and go play masked vigilante against a group of drug thugs bullying someone who doesn't deserve it (or maybe they do, for all you know). Save someone from a burning building set on fire by some angry social justice warrior animals. Escort someone to the grocery store. Break into the sheriff's office and demand your own brand of justice. Maybe you simply want to get a drink at the bar without incident.

"Is that so..." Schezo mulled over on what the other said while he kept a look around their surroundings.

"It is human nature to fear the unknown, that I would not deny." Schezo spoke, drawing out a sigh. "But to turn against fear and try to destroy it is a foolish and ignorant decision. I would step in and take the unknown and make it my strength."

Power was everything in Schezo's mind, after all.

"You seem like you have experience in these matters." she noted as they continued their walk away from possible prying eyes.

"I will agree with that statement, but honestly, many sentient races I've met suffer from the same. Some more than others I'm afraid." Like those of her heritage, the xenophobic Kaldorei... though, at least they have come a long way since the 'glory days'.

"Fear is a powerful adversary, not everyone can understand, let alone use or defeat it."

"By being thrown into a locked tower through a magical mirror, I would like to say I did experience fear." For wizards in his home world, they all had to throw themselves into the fear of unknown in order to get stronger. Perhaps it was also how his world was, with demons and magical creatures everywhere and how he was used to it, that he was having a hard time understanding why certain civilians were acting so violent towards those with mysterious powers.

Schezo pondered about this as he quietly listened to Ellistree talk. Before he could respond, though, they were found by a different group of violent thugs, who upon seeing the two, started charging towards their direction.

"It seems like they wouldn't even leave us alone for a chitchat." The dark wizard replied, slightly annoyed, as he drew his sword out to attack the thugs.

Not at all! Bring them on!

Ellistree was curious about what his story was about. Magical mirrors, dimensional towers and such things were stuff she had experienced before so she wanted to know what his experience with such things was like.

That was, until they got rudely interrupted. Ellistree sighed, crossing her fingers and looking him over with a curious expression.

"I haven't had a chance to see you fight. I'm sure dispatching of them would be an easy task for you. Mind if I look?"

"Hmph, don't complain for not getting some action when I take care of the entire group." Schezo replied with a smirk, and lifted his sword up, tip pointing towards the sky.

"Thunderstorm!"

As soon as he spoke, lightning bolts shot out from the sword tip and into the sky before crashing into the surrounding area, electrocuting a few thugs who got a little too close. As the bolts died out, the dark wizard lowered his sword, shaking off any of the lingering lightning sparks to conjure another spell as he raised his hand, palm facing towards the remaining enemies.

"Sting Shade!" Numerous dark orbs appeared in front of the thugs before exploding, sending them flying off.

"Hmph, too weak."

Ellistree crossed her arms and smiled. It seemed that hanging around Schezo had made her forget that they weren't in Azeroth at all. And the fact that the idiotic thugs were merely humans and not even the kind from her world, the heroes she was used to seeing take much more than what was being thrown at them.

"Not bad, but you are right..." she said with a frown. "I think it's best if we make haste and leave. These are just commoners, hardly a challenge and possibly out of their minds. It would be honorless to continue dispatching of them."

"Why not? They don't know any better to not challenge two strong fighters, what good will it make them to spare their lives?" Schezo responded, "let them throw their lives away if they want to do so."

He seemed to be having a little too much fun beating the thugs up, woops.

"Infamy." she began as she crossed her arms in their continued walk.

"If we spare a few of them, rumors will be more believable that our kin aren't to be pushed around."

Of course it could be construed in many other ways, like lableing them as monsters more than they already thought.
