[open] city log! Can I really be the hero?

Who: YOU and YOU and maybe you
What: catch-all open log for all your drug vigilante needs
Where: Final Destination City
When: WHENEVER YOU WANT
Warnings: drugs and vigilanting, at the very least
helpful links: here.

Indeed, ever since that casual Monday outing turned tragic, civil unrest and tensions have been high again in FDC, and worse yet; fingers are starting to be pointed in Smash Academy's direction. After long since flying under the radar of this whole mess, no attacks have happened on the school yet, but who's to say how long that will last?

The city is tumultuous. It's not impossible to still have a completely incident-less outing, but it would be wise to not go out and about with your Smash Academy uniforms on for all to see. Not unless you like fearful whispers and hissing insults behind your back. Even a simple trip to the grocery store could prove dangerous if you aren't careful.

Maybe you're a little more creative however, and are able to purposefully mask features that might otherwise identify you, or you sneak around in the dead of night using the shadows as your cover...

Humans now tend to segregate themselves with other humans, "freaks" tend to ostracize anyone not of their kin, and all this negativity intensifies rapidly if those colorful candy pops are present. Crime and riots are now common than occasional. The FDC Police manages most of the affairs but they can't prevent everything, and would probably appreciate a helping hand regardless if it's from a human or a "freak"... though thanks and courtesy may go one way or another depending on who/what you are.

Who knows, maybe you'll save someone's life and give them a better appreciation for the things you do instead of what you are...

[[As it says on the tin, HERE'S AN OPEN LOG, GO NUTS. Get together with some of your buddies and go play masked vigilante against a group of drug thugs bullying someone who doesn't deserve it (or maybe they do, for all you know). Save someone from a burning building set on fire by some angry social justice warrior animals. Escort someone to the grocery store. Break into the sheriff's office and demand your own brand of justice. Maybe you simply want to get a drink at the bar without incident.

Please feel free to NPC your bad guys/mooks/innocent civilians, or go snag Kat or one of the other lovely lady mods if you have any questions.

ONE RULE: you must use anime thread titles. That's all.

Edit: I lied. Rule 2: tag yourselves in.]]

Chiyo's Good Intentions - Part 2

[personal profile] lovestoswim 2013-04-24 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Chiyo teared up at their words, but wouldn't back down. For the first time in her life, she was taking a stand. Seeing Voile as she was reminded herself of her past and what she never wanted to experience again. Chiyo was so weak, always allowing others to torment her for their own satisfaction, and she did not want this to happen to another. It was a horrible experience, one that often led her train of thought to giving up on life altogether... and she hated it. Smash was supposed to be her salvation, her new home, not another place to be condemned.

"But I want to," Chiyo said back to Voile, her voice faltering due to many emotions overwhelming her. Crybaby that she was, she let her tears fall. "Times like these, we should help each other."

And she had hoped that by being there, she was making a difference for her fellow compatriot. Though, in this phenomenally terrifying and petrifying experience, Chiyo didn't think she'd be able to do much more than to simply take a stand. Could she try using water attacks as a human? She didn't know, nor did she ever try. Perhaps transforming back into a Pokemon would prove advantageous. But then again, it may very well incite them more.

"Aww, look at it. It's shaking like a little dog!" one remarked, pointing at Chiyo for the others to take notice. When they did, another round of sinister laughter took place as they chatted among themselves on what they should do.

"Yeah, and bad dogs should get punished, right?" another commented as he brushed off the dirt from his pants. "She did push me, after all."

So said person began approaching Chiyo, and she instinctively shrunk away. An action she detested herself for doing as she wanted to remain strong. But before she could recompose herself, the attacker came charging and thrust his shoulder into her stomach, sending her to painfully crash against the wall. She gave a small cry before wheezing, trying to regain the air that was just knocked out of her and curled up on the ground.

"An eye for an eye, they always say!" he chided, laughing at Chiyo as he towered over her. In the midst of her pain, Chiyo wanted to tell Voile to run, but couldn't get her voice to work. Thus, she cried in both frustration and hurt.

Chiyo's Good Intentions - Part 3

[personal profile] reservedempath 2013-04-25 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Voile was always capable of handling what someone would put against her personally. She often considered herself unbreakable. She wasn't ever quick to move to tears and up until she'd been cornered when she hid away some months prior, she hadn't made much of a habit in the way of weeping faces over the years. Perhaps it was because she handled it differently. She'd grown so jaded that it wasn't easy to stir her and even when she was stirred, she didn't seem to recognise it. Voile was, in one way or another, akin to stone.

But only when she was involved.

Chiyo's own emotional state was almost overwhelming in itself. It may have been physical proximity, but whatever the case, she successfully managed to drown out everything else that Voile had been experiencing. At least temporarily, which would have been a relief had nothing else followed... that... actually followed.

The scene itself was horrific. A... man physically assaulting a girl. Because she was different. Voile had never had someone lift a hand against her and generally if they had, thank the three gods of Hoenn that precognition wasn't lost on her. She had a hand in evasion, though she doubted it would always prove successful. She imagined it was only a matter of time before her good fortune ran out. This night with Chiyo might have been it.

For a moment, she felt frozen, rooted to the ground, unsure if moving toward the Vaporeon would sooner help her, or only cause her to experience more torture. "That's enough," she replied sharply. "Your quarrel was with me, not with her. Don't punish a woman for asserting herself." She didn't cringe or wince, but a part of her wanted to. She despised the idea of someone being hurt on her account and Chiyo had done exactly that. Voile should have taken that for her.

She moved carefully, hesitantly, and kept on her guard. Drawing out her left hand, she spread her fingers. If she could only get a few moments, just a few, she could teleport them. Maybe. The problem was that Voile didn't often use any of her move set when she wasn't a Gardevoir. The closest she ever got was levitation and telepathy and that seemed frowned upon. So when she suddenly moved to Chiyo's side, it was only after pushing her attacker aside.

"You want a piece of the same pie?" he asked, a bit incredulous by what he interpreted as audacity. Belligerence. Insubordination.

"Come get it, bitch."

She curled an arm gently and carefully around Chiyo while she kept her other hand up and out, defensive but also pending. Tipping her head, she rested it against Chiyo's. Hold on. I'm going to try to teleport us. And hopefully her newly-found companion wouldn't be too caught by surprise by the subtle form of communication. Or perhaps Voile wouldn't have to put herself to the test. Maybe they would get lucky.

A Red Skirted Savior

[personal profile] travelingbelle 2013-04-25 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
Lady Luck wore a bright red skirt and had a mean uppercut if she tried.

There had been a bit of a murmur with the man's friends. 'Who is-' 'What is she-' and other such confused mumbles had been happening, as they had noticed someone else approaching them. It was a girl with a broad white hat and a bright red skirt, and she was headed straight towards them in a sprint. She hadn't been far away. She had seen what was happening. Maybe she was just going to jump in the way like the other one had done.

Except that wasn't what happened at all, and there wasn't enough time to do anything about it. One moment they were in control, and in the next there was just a wave of brown hair as the mystery girl leaped forward with all her might.

Her fist collided with the main perpetrator's face as he bent and leered at the Pokemon. "Eat your own shitty pie!" she barked as he toppled off balance to the pavement, grunting an obscenity.

It was a lucky shot, granted through surprise. Her hand stung from the impact as she flexed her fingers. The other men were still stuck in a momentary stupor. That'd be over soon enough, she was sure, so they were going to have to make this as quick as possible. Blue spared the other girls just a glance as she moved to keep the assholes at a distance from them.

"Are you okay?"

Okay.... Chiyo was too tired to question the sudden voice in her head when Voile spoke to her telepathically, and allowed Voile to do as she deemed appropriate. Because of her poorly timed tree climbing excursion just the other day, Chiyo felt more battered and bruised from her already present injuries. She was used to being beat, but apparently her human form couldn't take as much damage as her Pokemon form, so she could only lie there uselessly. It already took all her will-power just to stay awake and remotely coherent.

"Eat your own shitty pie!" The sudden bark and appearance of another jolted her awareness. Who is that? she wondered, eyes widening as she stared at the red skirted girl.

"Y... yes. Somewhat," she answered slightly dazed. She tried moving, but an immense pain shot through her torso causing her to cringe and stop her movements altogether. "Ow!"

Chiyo was sure that if she didn't bruise one of her ribs the other day when she collided with a branch, she was certain that it was now. She bit her lip to hold back a whine.

The Surprised (Yet Grateful) Empath

[personal profile] reservedempath 2013-04-26 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
"Eat your own shitty pie!"

In the same way Voile couldn't particularly hear things, there was the vibration and the undeniable words. Was it familiar to her, though? She couldn't decide right then and there. There was no time. There were more important things to attend to. Like the girl she was holding, and unsure if she was even helping in the slightest. For all she knew, perhaps she'd grasped at Chiyo too hard.

Whatever the case, the need for her to expend PP the effort to teleport seemed unnecessary. At least with the girl who'd suddenly bounded onto the predicament. A single punch that she made look so... easy had Voile looking at her own left hand. She couldn't picture ever having the physical strength to do such a thing, however. And that moment of awe soon passed with the looming threat that there was still trouble. She still felt a great amount of unease, even with the slight relief, and the mix of emotions left her slightly disoriented.

She moved so Chiyo might better use her as support. "It's okay to lean on me," she reassured the Vaporeon. Then she eyed Blue briefly before looking to the thugs who'd originally happened upon her. "I'm fine. But this girl, she needs help. She's injured."

The Tagger That was Bad at Post Titles

"All right," Blue confirmed with a nod. That would make the getaway a little bit trickier. Looking over the situation, the clearest route was the way she had come from the side. Blue moved her hands behind her back as she took another step behind her. One hand motioned in that direction, a silent instruction to perhaps start moving that way. The fingers of the other hovered over the small balls at her hip, and there was no surprise as to what those were.

"Don't worry about a thing, you ladies will be a-okay," she continued to assure them, her voice calm and confident despite the circumstances.

"I think you have plenty to worry about," came the growling threat from the toppled thug, now on his feet. "Why didn't you just let the freaks get what they deserve, girly?"

It didn't matter that they were all half a foot taller than her. It didn't matter if there were more of them. She should have been scared. She wasn't. Blue looked at the girls as if she were weighing what the man had said, but the sharp look in her eyes for them was clear: Go.

She glanced back at the thugs, disdain dripping from her every word. "Oh, they'll get what they deserve if they want it, I assure you. The only freaks here are the sorry excuses standing in front of me."

The Forlorn Female Dog

Ignoring the protests of her aching body, Chiyo accepted Voile's offer to use her as support and readjusted herself so that she could stand. She then glanced at Blue. While thankful to have someone to rescue them, Chiyo felt terrible and useless, blaming herself for not being stronger. She wanted to help someone in need, but instead became a hindrance that needed saving instead.

Swallowing hard, she braced herself to run. She determined that no matter how much it may hurt, she needed to put in all her efforts to get away. It was the task given to her and if she didn't accomplish it, the consequences would be dire. She felt that she already made things worse, so now she couldn't allow for any more rooms for error. Her eyes followed the direction Blue's finger pointed in, and she readied herself for the moment to escape. With one last glance at Voile and ensuring that her hold on her companion was secure, Chiyo wanted to make sure Voile was prepared as well before they took off at the signal. The running to come was sure to be difficult and make her grimace all the way to safety.

Tentative Nature - The Green-Haired Doll Shifts

[personal profile] reservedempath 2013-04-29 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Voile adjusted each way necessary to hold Chiyo protectively to her. She didn't like the idea of leaving Blue to her own devices. She didn't even know the girl who'd come to their rescue. Sometimes names didn't matter, however. Sometimes it was the message behind the action and admittedly, Blue was certainly a distinctive kind of valourous saviour. Voile would have to find a way to properly compensate later.

Her own gaze had only scarcely looked in the direction that Blue had pointed them in. She didn't need to hear it. She knew very well what the next plan of action was to be. Asking Chiyo to run wasn't exactly on her list of priorities either. If necessary, she'd pick up the other girl and carry her to freedom. And hopefully nothing would happen to Blue in the meantime.

Hopefully.

She eyed Chiyo closely. Don't run. If those guys broke something, running may exacerbate your injuries. I will move as quickly as I can, and if need be, I can pick you up. Thank the Hoenn gods for levitation. A gentle grasp on the Vaporeon girl, and Voile was braced for what would inevitably follow: a potential game of cat and mouse.

"Thank you," and those words were for Blue. "Please be careful."

The way is Paved

[personal profile] travelingbelle 2013-05-06 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not to worry," Blue assured her, though her eyes were trained on the thug that had taken to cussing her out for her defiance. "I've got the best guardian angels around!"

"Those aren't going to matter worth a damn!" The thug grunted, evidently having come to the end of his rope as he moved to swing at Blue. The trainer was by no means an ace fighter on her own, but she knew the benefits of being small was being a harder target to hit. This was also grounds for self defence now. Blue ducked away from the agitated punch, launching herself forward to knee him solidly in the groin.

A flick of the wrist as he shouted, and the pokeball she held in her hand rose up behind her. The other two had started after the girls, and that wouldn't fly.

"Sienna!"

In addition to the crazy girl hitting people in the nuts, there was now a fuck off huge dragon blocking the way to the other pokemon. The way out was as clear as it was going to get.
