[The second group has been told to find some place somewhat out of the way. It's at the other end of the city, and maybe a little harder to find than the others. The dining room is bigger than it looks from the outside, though, and it's actually rather nice. There's quiet music playing overhead. There seems to be a little of everything on the menu, but it all does seem a little fancy. It's expensive, but it's not like you're paying, right?

It might have been smart to dress nice- but not too nice- for your date. At least that's what Gold suggested!

There's a candle at every table. Beside each candle, there is a card. On each card, there is a different letter-number combination.

"IN WORDS," Wheatley shouted, "USE YOUR WORDS."

"I TRIED THAT, YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND," replied Jock heartily. "SO I FIGURED SHOWING YOU IS EASIER."

[testgasm]

"YOU ALMOST SET THE WAITRESS ON FIRE."

Wheatley wasn't entirely sure if that was the case. But it seemed like an appropriate admonition, given the what had just transpired.

[flamejock]

"THERE'S ONLY A TEN-PERCENT CHANCE OF FLAMETHROWER INFLICTING A BURN," said Jock.

[testgasm]

"Doesn't matter!" He replied, still in apparent distress, if the way his inner component jerked around was any indication. "You shouldn't go about breathing fire in a restaurant, it's not socially acceptable! And--and dangerous. Very dangerous."

[flamejock]

"I breathe fire inside all the time. I just have to be careful where I point it. Mom taught me that..." said Jock, looking around the restaurant again. "Have you seen my mom yet?"

[testgasm]

"Okay, well, this is not a good place to be spitting fire."

Though in Wheatley's opinion, no place was a good place to be spitting fire.

"I haven't seen your mum. I don't know what she looks like. Aren't you a little old for that sort of thing?"

[flamejock]

"I'm three," said Jock. "And mom's my trainer. She's the most important person in the world."

[testgasm]

"O...kay," he sighed. "What's she look like? Maybe we can find her."

[flamejock]

"She's the most beautiful girl in the world, she has straight brown hair and she likes to wear hats and the color blue and she has pale skin and she comes up to my chest in this body and... up to my chest in my other body and she has blue eyes," said Jock hurriedly, as he glanced around the room.

[testgasm]

"Uh--"

Wheatley figured it was probably not a good time to tell Jock that he found most humans to be weird-looking.

"Haven't seen her, sorry. Did you think she'd be here?"

[flamejock]

"I signed up for a date so that I could go on a date at the same place as her so I can make sure nobody tries to kill her. Somebody killed that pokemon lady, I saw it on TV. I need to protect her to make sure she's safe."

[testgasm]

He blinked, slowly, appearing to process the information.

"Okay, uh, it sounds like you don't understand how this works."

[flamejock]

"What?" Jock asked, a tiny note of panic in his voice. "What don't I understand? What's wrong?"

[testgasm]

"Did you think you'd get set up with her, or something? She's probably off on a date of her own. This is randomized, mate."

Wheatley didn't quite understand what the purpose was, but he knew that much.

[flamejock]

"No, but, we're all going on a date in the same place, right? We're all here in this restaurant, right? Everybody's in this place? Right?"

[testgasm]

If Wheatley had shoulders, he certainly would have shrugged. As it stood, he could only wiggle his top handlebar.

"It is possible that there is more than one restaurant being utilized. For. This occasion."

I'm using the 18th century sense of the word

"SWEET BABY ARCEUS!" ejaculated Jock as he reached across the table, picked up the ball and shook it with passion.

"IF SHE'S NOT HERE SOMEBODY MIGHT BE KILLING HER SOMEWHERE ELSE."

Wheatley did not take well to a great many things, but being manhandled (corehandled?) and shaken around was most definitely at the top of the list. Each subsequent word was punctuated by the rattle of something inside his casing.

"AGH--OH--GOD--STOP--PLEASE--STOP--HNK--THAT--PUT--ME--DOWN--"

"I HAVE TO FIND OUT WHERE THE OTHER PLACE TO GO IS," said Jock in a voice brimming with panic.

He was stress gnawing on the side of the ball now. And by the ball I mean Wheatley.

If Wheatley responded poorly to being shaken, being gnawed on only made it worse.

"WHERE'S THE OTHER ONE," Jock shouted as he pulled the ball away from his mouth. "WHERE ARE THEY HAVING THE OTHER ONE."

"I--DON'T--KNOW--I--DON'T--KNOW--YOU--HAVE--TO--STOP."

[flamejock]

"ITS ON MY COLLAR. YOU HAVE TO GET IT OFF MY COLLAR. TELL ME WHAT THE NUMBER IS ON MY COLLAR," yelled the man as he dropped the ball unceremoniously on the tabletop.

There's a poof of smoke and the man is gone and now towering over you is the brilliant godbeast again.

And wow, does this brilliant godbeast ever look panicked and horribly nervous.

He's shoving his collar down at you. Can you see it beneath all of the fur? Can you even see the tag?
