Blind Dates: B TABLES.
What: BLIND DATES! Round 2.
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with the letter-number combination B#.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 30th, eveningtimes.
Warnings: ???
ALSO, HEY, TAG YOUR CHARACTERS WHEN YOU REPLY TO THIS LOG. ♥
[The second group has been told to find some place somewhat out of the way. It's at the other end of the city, and maybe a little harder to find than the others. The dining room is bigger than it looks from the outside, though, and it's actually rather nice. There's quiet music playing overhead. There seems to be a little of everything on the menu, but it all does seem a little fancy. It's expensive, but it's not like you're paying, right?
It might have been smart to dress nice- but not too nice- for your date. At least that's what Gold suggested!
There's a candle at every table. Beside each candle, there is a card. On each card, there is a different letter-number combination.
Find your table!
And feel free to leave at any time, with or without your date.]

Maybe I'll get to meet them in my class sometime then. Students or otherwise anyway.
[He put his menu down.]
In any case, I think this might be an enjoyable night, don't you agree? This is quite a treat given to us afterall. Are you ready to order?

[ He trailed his fingertips over his menu idly, tail vibrating behind him from discomfort. It wasn't that this person was unpleasant, but Garry's social healthiness by comparison to his unwilling self made the scales tip far too much for his liking. It's rare that Shadow ever got social, let alone with people he'd consider 'social butterflies'.
Whatever. He let out a small sigh, dropping his hand down to his lap. ]
Let's order. [ He hadn't eaten in a while anyway. He may as well try to make the best of this. ]

Somewhat of a withdrawal was now noticeable though. Was he making him uncomfortable. Garry tried to not have his soft smile waver and frown at it. Even if he did frown, it wouldn't be at Shadow directly at all anyway. If he was making Shadow uncomfortable, he can tell him. Garry didn't want to make it unpleasant by asking him, in the case that Shadow was actually content and just a little shy.
Garry ordered when the waiter came, and eventually, he got his glass of wine. Just one, all he would need. Ahhh, but it tasted so good. Nice wine was hard for his budget most of the time.]
But it's a shame the semester is nearly over, but there's still the holidays. That should be exciting.
[Sip of the wine.]
Though I've got a number of college projects to finish, and then I can relax. I'm sure you've been kept busy too, being in truancy and all.

Mm... [ After a well-savored sip, he set down his glass carefully. Spilling wine here would be a bad, bad idea, after all. ]
You are one of the majority. I will have no time to rest.
[ Truancy's never done, not here. He still opted to patrol the rooms for any mischief, let alone the murders, the lollipops...
Yeah, he wasn't getting a break any time soon. ]

Mun should have had Garry do the same but shows how much the mun knows. Garry loves wine and has been wine tasting before...in fact he did seemed like he savored it despite it. It was good wine.Although, he looked like he eyed Shadow as he did it and looked like he felt a little silly. He made a small chuckle under his breath. Clearly, Garry got a little ahead of himself. Whoops.
Though when Shadow spoke, he visibly frowned now. As he set down his glass, he got a little silent for a few seconds.]
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound insensitive or spoiled. I can't imagine the kind of work you do.

Don't be a fool. I prefer keeping on my duty over being a laze.
[ Honestly, he didn't even really celebrate the holidays. This was going to be his first Christmas ever (at least, while conscious), and without life going as planned, he didn't want to bother getting into the yuletider's spirit.
Bah humbug. ]
no subject
Right, and I can understand that. Sorry again. It's easy for a lot of people to get lazy over winter.
But surely they at least give you a moment of peace for the holidays, I hope. Or try to?
no subject
I sincerely doubt it. [ A pause, and then a shake of his head. ] We will see.
[ His ears then swiveled in the direction of the kitchen, and he didn't even have to look up to know that their food was being handed to one of the waitresses. Good. ]
no subject
Not too shabby for a free meal, huh?
no subject
[ That said a lot, truly. Shadow took to his meal like a dainty little princess, slicing into his food with his fork and knife and taking careful, clean bites out of the chunks. The manicotti was far too large to eat in one bite, after all, at least not without making a huge mess. That would be just unbecoming. ]
Mm... [ He swallowed and dabbed the corners of his lips with his napkin, properly and politely, before speaking again. ] That is a fine meal. For once, the Headmaster's funding has proven generous.
