Blind Dates: B TABLES.
What: BLIND DATES! Round 2.
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with the letter-number combination B#.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 30th, eveningtimes.
Warnings: ???
ALSO, HEY, TAG YOUR CHARACTERS WHEN YOU REPLY TO THIS LOG. ♥
[The second group has been told to find some place somewhat out of the way. It's at the other end of the city, and maybe a little harder to find than the others. The dining room is bigger than it looks from the outside, though, and it's actually rather nice. There's quiet music playing overhead. There seems to be a little of everything on the menu, but it all does seem a little fancy. It's expensive, but it's not like you're paying, right?
It might have been smart to dress nice- but not too nice- for your date. At least that's what Gold suggested!
There's a candle at every table. Beside each candle, there is a card. On each card, there is a different letter-number combination.
Find your table!
And feel free to leave at any time, with or without your date.]

TABLE B7: character whose name starts with E posts first.

The email from Gold had suggested she dress nice, so she wore a dress and braided her hair.
As soon as she found the place and let herself in, she noted the people in the restaurant she didn't like. Then she found her table-- still empty-- and took her seat.

It was Soryk's first thought when he saw Eli. His insides practically withered up like a flower in winter. There was very little he could outwardly say, for he'd thought the campus so overrun by men, that he could simply mock his obviously male dating 'partner' and get on with his life.
Except it was a woman. And the very sight of her made him want to wretch his innards. Not anything personal, of course, but gods be damned if he was going to ever admit something for a 'comforting' notion.
Pulling himself together, Soryk carefully tugged at his outfit, which painted him far more royalty than any mere or meager man. Afterward, he preened his hair, which he chose to wear down, in spite of its length. In his opinion, it was important for him to be the best looking man in that restaurant, even more lovelier than any woman 'gracing' others with her presence there. He approached Eli's table and with a bit of an outlandish bow, he greeted her with all of the etiquette he forced himself to maintain.
"Sinu a'manore."

At Soryk's bow, Eli looked the Poisons teacher up and down, looking rather bemused with his presence. The fact that he was her date was obnoxious enough. But with him, it seemed, came an elaborate outfit, fucking bowing at her, and speaking in another language.
She scowled.
"You have the wrong table."

He spoke his words with a bit of an elegant hiss, provided that almost everything Soryk did was elegant. If the man could have fallen, it would have been with the grace of a bird descending from the sky to the ground.
"I only wish," he replied to her before he seated himself. "Be a child if you desire, yet I intend to take advantage of the opportunity." Which meant to eat. As refined as he would have in the comforts of Silvermoon.

"And dressed like a fucking clown," she quipped.
Eli could relate, at least. At least she was getting a free meal out of this mini-disaster.

A trait you seem to have never learned, child.
But he imagined if he spent his entire time arguing and bantering with her, he'd never get a chance to eat. As he reached for his menu, he looked over his options with some feigned interest. He would have preferred his own company and not hers, but beggars could not be choosers.
no subject
She didn't say anything else to him as she perused the menu. If she knew he had been paying, she would have purposely chosen the most expensive option...

Finally he looked over his menu, "What do you intend to order? I shall order the same thing." Just to make it easier on himself.
