Sonic's snickers speared through the air and probably right through his friend's patience, the Chao making for a very interesting show of how enduring Shadow the Hedgehog can be. Ah, this truly a test of limits. Sonic could only do so much but he couldn't plaster himself to Shadow's face like that. I guess.

The body language was clear, however, and Sonic stepped in closer to defuse the impending violence before it got out of hand. Y'know... Again. One hopefully pacifying touch to Shadow's shoulder and an outreached hand to the Chao later would be enough, at least as far as their little buddy was concerned, who was more than happy to say hello to Dad. Mom. Uncle. Whatever.
