Vs. GLaDOS
Who: GLaDOS and anyone who wants to take her down.
What: Students and staff taking on the big bad.
When: 19th
Where: Central AI Chamber
Warnings: FIGHT SCENES, YEAH!
Reference: Final battle sign ups!
It truly had come to this. Once again, despite her best efforts at keeping all the test subjects trapped in the chambers, some had, for reasons she could only guess, been able to escape. Naturally, the more "aggressive" of them would be coming for her. It was expected, really. They always did. However, it'd be a long while before they managed to get to her, and naturally GLaDOS couldn't help but wonder how they had escaped.
...
Well that was a lie. She actually knew just how they got out. Someone had to be working on the outside, hacking the panels and the cameras. It didn't take long for GLaDOS to figure out who did it, there were only two suspects after all: Rick and Wheatley. While Rick may be annoying, she doubted he'd actually betray her. That left one very stupid target, who conveniently had gone missing after the school went live. Once she got out of this mess, she'd kill him. No...no, she wouldn't kill him, she'd make him wish he could die. Yes, she liked that.
Right now, though, she had bigger things to deal with. After making an assessment of how many were coming for her, she forged a plan. She'd let those who wanted to fight her go right ahead, even if they hadn't escaped yet. In the meanwhile, before they came, she'd review what mistakes she and that little idiot made, and would correct them. Once that was all said and done, she'd kill her attackers, and break the spirits of those who had any hope of leaving. It was a risky plan, sure, but why handle multiple attackers one after the other when she could end them all at once?
Either way, it was too late to change her plan now. This was it, nothing left to do but prepare.

Before the fight
This is it, no turning back once you board the elevator. I'd recommend taking care of anything important before getting on, as you may not be coming back.
I also recommend saving your game.Re: Before the fight
Eventually, they reached the elevator.
"Dead end...except for the elevator."
Re: Before the fight
Shadow made sure to swivel his ears to detect Chell's presence, but he did nothing more to indicate that he was attentive to her. What laid ahead of them both was nothing more than his upcoming revenge. GLaDOS could not do anything to him. She could likely wound him, badly so, but compared to his inability to die, it meant nothing.
He furrowed his brows, lips separating in an animalistic snarl.
She was going to pay.
Re: Before the fight
He still had to wonder why, though...
Well, he was sure he'd soon find out.
Stepping up beside Shadow, Sonic kept his eyes straight ahead, looking at the lift that would take them to their Examiner.
Re: Before the fight
Impressive. Shadow admittedly didn't expect for him to make it this far. Sonic was perceptive at times, he noted, but he wasn't exactly the most intelligent sort. Some of these puzzles were mind-boggling even for the Ultimate Life, so for him to get here...
Maybe he does underestimate him more than he thought.
He didn't turn to face him. Instead he took a few steps and gave only a shard of his piece:
"That is putting it mildly."
It's difficult to tell whether his smirk was over GLaDOS's upcoming demise or if it was over Sonic actually leaving him impressed, as well as relieved.
Re: Before the fight
... Ahem. Aaand not that he was too worried or anything, but he was pretty relieved to see Shadow, too.
Re: Before the fight
Why, yes, he was mad. Was there ever any doubt?
"She is not worth recycling. She will be nothing more than a paperweight by the time I am done with her."
Mark his words.

Maybe in the back of her mind there was a small conflict. Caroline was still there. And... this GLaDOS had saved her life and even let her go free not once, but twice.
But Chell is still cold, still unfeeling toward robots.
The fight
Finally, the massive panel stops and the large columns recede back into the floor and ceiling, respectively. Should you decide to take a look around the room, you may notice that there is, in fact, not a single portal surface anywhere in the room. This is probably the only room in the entire facility to not have one and it's pretty obvious why.
I wish I could say this was unexpected, but unfortunately, it was very expected. You organics really all are the same, you know that? I give you a few tests to do and instead of doing them, you rebel. You always rebel.
But that's fine. It gives me a sense of amusement, really. The reason being, you think you're going to stop me. I find that funny, of course, because you're not. I am programmed to test, I am going to test, and anyone who tries to stop me from testing...
Four large canon-like appendages sprout from her upper body near the ceiling in an "X" pattern. Once that happens, large tracer markers appear on the floor below, dictating where they're going to hit. In addition to that, a voice echoed in the back ground "Neurotoxin is online." and sure enough: there came the familiar green gas from the vents.
...will be removed from my presence. Permanently.
And now, Smash residents, have some bombs for throwing at you.
[ooc: Alright, for those of you aren't familiar with the portal gun, it is able to pick up objects like cubes and what-have-you. However, it doesn't physically touch them, meaning things like bombs (hint hint) can be picked up by it without detonating.
That said, you can inflict damage to her in other ways, but this will be the way that inflicts the most damage, as that chassis of hers is quite strong.]
Re: The fight
So wrong.
But she had to remember. Asbel never gave up on Richard when he went nuts, when it was supposed to be Sophie's mission to eradicate Lambda who was inside of him. Sophie followed Asbel, because she cared about Richard too.
Because they were friends.
Sophie dodged the bombs with relative ease, focused on reaching GLaDOS.
"Teacher!"
Re: The fight
Re: The fight
Shadow was not wasting any time, nor was he wasting those bombs. He utilized his portal gun hand to grab and fling bombs in her direction, while his other hand charged with raw energy. He skated about in an erratic pattern, attempting to ensure that she cannot aim for him.
After enough power gathered in the palm of his hand, well...
Needless to say, some people may need to step back.

But what made her eyes widen was the power in his other hand. Chell couldn't do that. All she had were the very weapons that GLaDOS had given her.
But she knew to stand back, to avoid any onslaught of things that could damage her, otherwise she would be throwing the bombs herself.

She looks prepared to fight, though she is unaware of Shadow because she was deflecting bombs.

Dodging wasn't an issue, but he wasn't a very good shot. Guns, no matter the material they expelled, just simply weren't Sonic's thing. They never would be.
He spent his efforts looking for another way to assault their common enemy, but Shadow's energy drew his attention. He knew to get back and let him have at it, but -
"Hey!" He ran right for Sophie, if anything to either get her attention or snatch her up and out of the way - whatever he could do first to get her out of that hazardous zone! "Watch out!"

For real guns.
Which it began to use. To hell with the bombs, a few pot shots at the robot's smug stupid eye would surely be useful. Hopefully he wouldn't miss and hit one of those odd looking pipelines that seemed to run through the chamber...
