Annual Fireworks Log
Who: All of you
What: Fireworks!
When: The night of July 2nd
Where: Campus, but they're visible from the surrounding area too.
Warnings: Small cameos and standard Smash shenanigans.
There was a trespasser on the school grounds. A trespasser toting a large bag full of explosives that looked potentially dangerous. Oh no, he was setting them up! Such complex rigging! What dastardly plan did he have in mind?! The first deadly missile launched into the air, and...
Oh, wait, it was just fireworks. False alarm.
Well, it was obvious by the colourful display that this mysterious trespasser had spent far too much time planning this. What was he trying to do, create a distraction so he could go on a one-man panty raid? Tempting, but not this year.
In fact, now that the fireworks could finish on their own, mystery man vanished into the night. If one looked into the right area of the sky at the right time, they might find the silhouette of some weird spacecraft-looking thing against the bright lights. Could there be a connection?
Who even cares. FIREWORKS.

...Haha, unintentional pun. Damn. She'd have to remember that one for later when she had a bigger audience or something... even though stand-up was never really her kind of thing.

Charlise walked over next to the edge and sat down, legs dangling as she peered off into the distance. "Kinda stupid if you ask me. Just an excuse to I dunno, do stuff I guess."
no subject
She scooted a little closer, just so she could hear the Drifblim better. "I take it you're not a big fan of senseless explosions?"
no subject
"Guess I'm more of a bitter bitch than I thought," she mused with a light chuckle. "Though, I don't know, it's not bad I guess. It could be worse, ain't that what they say?"
no subject
Not that it was a thing Blacky wanted to find out for herself, though she'd been convinced plenty of times before that she had indeed hit rock bottom.
"Anyway, if you're so upset at others having fun, you'll have to show them up by enjoying yourself more than they could ever hope to. Right? Make them the jealous ones."
no subject
And yet, it always did, no matter what Kitty did, she always found it hard to not let it bother her.
no subject
Maybe it was just a ghost type thing.
"That's more like it. What do you like to do for fun on a night like this?"
no subject
She sighed and pulled her knees to her chest and looked at the fireworks. "I ain't even sure if I know how to have fun that ain't poking at others misery."
Well almost always. "I dunno what to tell you really, it's either that, collecting random crap," At least that's what everyone else would call it. "Or screwing around." Which honestly, she hadn't have any of since she got here, but she had been busy by herself!
no subject
Never mind that it was Blacky's mind in the gutter and Kitty could have meant something completely different like just wasting time doing nothing. BLACKY, HONESTLY.
"Er... Hmm. I suppose figuring this out is the tricky part, then." Damn it, she should have known helping someone else feel better wouldn't be so easy after all! "Have you considered trying to have fun with somebody else? Screwing around aside..."
no subject
"Well, there's hanging out with Clover, but she's always doin' her own thing with the whole trainin' and exercising and shit. I mean, I guess it's not so bad when we get to go to the beach or the pool but yeah, she got her own thing that I'm not too good at..."
Then there was the team, but that had slowly become just her, Clover and Lash and somehow she had the very familiar gut feeling that shit wouldn't last, just like always. Her life was just one abandonment after the other after all, who the fuck wanted her anyways.
She clenched her fists and closed her eyes tight to fight back that feeling right quick, last thing she needed was sympathy.
no subject
"Mm... It is hard when there's a divide of interests and goals between friends. I suppose it doesn't help that there's always going to be that gap between us and the living, anyway..."
Well, so much for a pep talk. Now Blacky was just going to get herself down too. She turned her gaze back toward the fireworks, not paying enough attention to really see them.
"I'm not really helping with that. Ah... look, it might do you some good to have a wide variety of friends! It may not, but it's certainly worth a short getting out there and getting to know some people.
"...If nothing else, at least you'll know their weaknesses to get at them later to make yourself feel better."
Yeah, that was professional advice.
no subject
Well at least Kitty's bipolarity was intact! So the pep talk technically worked?
She turned back to the fireworks with a huff. "Psh, as if I'd let that be another fuckin' handicap in my fucked up life. Hell no!"
no subject
...The living probably did think they were better though, didn't they? She couldn't help but scowl.

And also because they no longer counted her among their ranks."Perhaps there should be a little something put together for us superior beings. An exclusive club, perhaps."
no subject
"Huh. Okay, that sounds like a solid beginning... I think I could vouch for that, but what exactly would it be? What would we be doing and shit? Cause I don't want no fucking hand-holding, sitting around campfires singing some bullshit song about unity or what-the-fuck-ever."
Of course... she wouldn't mind holding hands with Blacky, but she'd keep that one to herself.
no subject
Blacky already had a feeling that there would be mischief going down at least half the time, since that kind of thing was inevitable when a bunch of ghosts gathered in the same place.
"Of course," she went on, wiggling her eyebrows a bit, "we'll still have a campfire. I know there are a lot of people here fond of telling spooky stories at least once a year, and who better to host it properly?"
no subject
"Sounds like it'll be a fuckin' awesome thing if it does happen hot-stuff." Whoops. "Err, I mean dude."
Kitty looked away, trying to focus on the fireworks. "Anyways, I'm totes game for this shit if it does go down."
no subject
"Alright. I'll be sure to get the word out sometime this week. I hope it catches on! It's actually pretty exciting."
no subject
"Yeah, they'd be pretty fuckin' stupid to not be interested in this. This damned place needs to be shown that we're here and we're here to stay for fuckin' sure. AND that we're awesome."
no subject
Wait for it...
"Everyone will be dying to get in."
NO BLACKY NO YOU ARE GROUNDED.
no subject
"Damn that was just fuckin' lame." And yet she was still laughing.
no subject
"I'm sorry. I've been wanting to make a bad pun all night. I promise I don't usually do that."
no subject
"R-really now?" she stuttered through the laughing. "I h-hope so man, cause that shit w-will scare away t-the club members haha!"
