Annual Fireworks Log
Who: All of you
What: Fireworks!
When: The night of July 2nd
Where: Campus, but they're visible from the surrounding area too.
Warnings: Small cameos and standard Smash shenanigans.
There was a trespasser on the school grounds. A trespasser toting a large bag full of explosives that looked potentially dangerous. Oh no, he was setting them up! Such complex rigging! What dastardly plan did he have in mind?! The first deadly missile launched into the air, and...
Oh, wait, it was just fireworks. False alarm.
Well, it was obvious by the colourful display that this mysterious trespasser had spent far too much time planning this. What was he trying to do, create a distraction so he could go on a one-man panty raid? Tempting, but not this year.
In fact, now that the fireworks could finish on their own, mystery man vanished into the night. If one looked into the right area of the sky at the right time, they might find the silhouette of some weird spacecraft-looking thing against the bright lights. Could there be a connection?
Who even cares. FIREWORKS.

"And I'm doing all right. Glad they decided to have the festivities a day or two early, mind - full moon is coming up."

"Rite, Ah had forgot." she said trying to keep her cheeriness intact.
She rolled off Talbain and quickly rummaged through her bags for a few moments before pulling out a six-pack of brewed ale. "Dunno if these are tha kind yew like, but it was hard enuff convincin' tha clerk that they ain't fur me." And her attitude seemed to be on her side that day because it seemed to have given her enough trust to let the old man sell her the stuff.

"Oi, you bought these? Blimey, I'm a worse influence than I thought." he said, quickly pulling off his shirt and draping it over the pack of six cans. Even though it was summer holidays, chances were high that if faculty saw them drinking, they'd get in trouble. The last thing he wanted was for her to get expelled on account of having alchohol out in the open.
However, his hands were large enough to cover the logo on the can neatly. He unhooked one and opened it.
"....that was very thoughtful of you. Cheers."

And it was true, while she had tried it already a few times with him, he had already told her that she should be drinking the stuff due to her age.
"Cheers!" she finally said, tapping her pop against his can.

He raised the drink to his lips and took a long swallow before dropping an arm over her shoulders.
"So. Any plans for the rest of the summer, then?"
no subject
And it was one of the reasons why she had been so behind in graduation. "Otha than that, nope, nuthin'! What 'bout yew hun?"

"How about we head out after this next full moon?"

Granted, the summer was still young! Which she loved, this season was best season! She hoped that she'd be able to see some beaches, because that's just how a water obsessed Charmander rolls!

That was news toi him.

In Jon's experience, the sorts of people willing to pay for delivery work numbered three. The sort who was too weak to lift or cart something themselves. The sort who were too lazy and had too much money. Or the sort who didn't want to be there when their delivery was accepted at it's final destination. He hoped for her sake it wasn't the latter because thast could be... problematic.

Even more cheerier than before, if that was even possible, Riwane nuzzled against Jon's side and settled to watch the fireworks with a bright smile.

However, he was going to look into this delivery job. He didn't want her thinking he didn't trust her to make her own decisions, but it was in his nature to be cautious. Well, alright, paranoid.
"In any event, I suggest we start intensifying our training. Even if our first two Gyms are planned to be easy, I want to leave them in ruins. Um. Figuratively speaking."
....he was sure he didn't want to have to pay for property repairs.
no subject
"Yeah! Ah was wonderin' when we were gunna step it up! Ah am totally ready fur this Moonshine!"
She was a lot less cautious, but then again she was already well known for being just a bit gullible... Okay, so very gullible but that wasn't the point!

It was a signifigant climb in workload, but he knew she was up to it. And it wasn't as if she was doing it alone - he would be there for every minute of it, after all.
no subject
"Ah'm shure Ah'll be able ta manage Moonshine."
no subject
He gave her a rare smile.
"I'll make travel plans for Johto, then."

"There yew go again, tryin' ta show everyone jus' how strong and cool yew are. Not that you ain't of course! An' yew should show em a thing or two 'bout who tha alpha is." she mused with a playful grin.
Turning to look back at the fireworks, she smiled, a small smile before dropped onto his lap once more with a pleased sigh.
"Ah can't wait." she said simply.

He would take the time between now and the full moon to do a little more research on the region and it's native Pokemon. See where the best places to train were, and maybe somewhere fun they could go together.
