She'd made it! Casey could hardly believe her good fortune! There were a few times over her months of wandering from city to city that she doubted she'd ever find the Academy, and that maybe the Gym Leader she'd 'borrowed' the information from was just making things up. But here she was now, and she was excited!

...For a few minutes.

The building alone wasn't enough to hold her interest for very long; Casey was much more interested in the people within. After a short nap (which ended up lasting almost an entire day, as all that excitement was exhausting!), during which she teleported all over campus and likely got herself spotted a few times, the Abra decided to seat herself at the edge of the outdoor fountain. From there, she let her mind reach out...

She physically flinched, immediately terminating her connection with the stranger. This was even worse than the Headmaster's brother. She tentatively reached out again, careful to keep herself from gleaning for more information... as curious as she was.

Sophie's life was so far from boring gee it would be nice if she remembered.

Sophie looked around. What? What was that?

This girl was definitely not a trainer, and therefore was probably safe. It wasn't that Casey was afraid of being caught. She just didn't like getting hit in the face with Pokeballs.

She did, however, like how comfortable Sophie's head looked. Poof! She was now draped over it.

Sonic was staring right at... whatever it was. He narrowed his eyes as if that would help him decipher its existence.

He turned toward it, feet moving him in its direction.

Looks suspicious. Better jump on it.

Shadow whirls around, searching for the source of the thoughts entering his head by force. That isn't normal. Could it be some sort of psychic creature?! But... how?! Are his own thoughts not even safe here?!

Who are you? Show yourself!

She looked shocked, but how much could that look when she seems a little short on emotions?

"...Hello?"

She lightly tugged on Casey hands.

She very easily let herself slide off Sophie's head, just hanging there from her hands instead. She might as well have been a telepathic ragdoll.

Duuuh. But maybe the circle thing was a hint. Maybe if she did some quick teleporting around she would find someone who would match that description.

Suddenly, at the end of the halls! Some sleepy-looking Pokemon thing just sitting there. She wasn't keen on coming any closer until she knew this guy wasn't the kind to get angry and attack her for the little intrusion. Some people were like that, for reasons beyond her.

Casey. Casey no. That's the kind of thing that will get you beaten up.

He couldn't very well jump on her if she was suddenly behind him! Right?

Link cringed at the voice, thinking it was Navi somehow and that he'd spoken out loud.

"It's not gross," he said outloud. "We've had bugs before, just... not this one."

Navi circled out from under Link's hat and gave a confused chime, "...Who are you talking to?"

"You."

"But I didn't say anything."

"You said it was gross!"

Navi chimed again, huffing, "I did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

...this would probably go on for a while.

Sonic's spikes flare up at her sudden disappearance - and presence behind him!

Sonic spun to see the little bugger taking up the space behind him, more stunned to hear a voice that... had a weird pitch to it. He couldn't tell where it was coming from. How odd.

"Woah," He finally blurted out. "Hey, neat trick!"

Neat but what the heck? Speed? No... Can't be Chaos Control... No emeralds. Shadow would've been all over that, if we had 'em. Aaah ah, wait a sec!

"Wait, y'know me?"

Maybe I should jump on it anyway. Could be Eggman's.

Nah, the whole mind intrusion thing is kiiiind of more of a thing that will get Casey Chaos Speared or something in the end.

Look at Shadow. HE IS NONE TOO PLEASED.

That glare is unrelenting. Whatever this thing even is, he does not like it one bit. He swears, if this thing knows Sonic in any way...!
