[HOT SPRINGS TRIP] BOYS' SPRING

Characters: Male students only, please!
What: Hot Springs - Boy's side!
Where: Fountain of Youth Hot Springs, the boy's spring.
When: Sunday, July 13th
Rating: Let's call it PG-13.

...It's a hot spring. Pretty self-explanatory. Traditionally, you wear a towel, but if that's not your thing then swimsuits are also acceptable. The spring for the male students is the one farthest over to the right, next to the faculty spring -- so don't you go wandering off to girl's spring ~~unless nobody's looking~~, boys.

If you're headed into the hot spring, then it might be a good idea to start a new comment post, same as the hotel. This thing's bound to get huge, so let's keep the threads as neat as we can. You're welcome to RP this however you like; if you make a tegaki thread, just link it in a post or something.

I think that about covers it, so sit back, relax, and enjoy yourselves.

Ninten slowly walked to the springs. He trailed them both by a large amount. He...really wasn't sure how he'd go about this. The psychic teen was still in his normal clothes, or at least an almost exact copy of them, which probably made him the most noticeable of anyone at the springs.

He kept his head down, and slowly inched over to the springs. He grinned a little as Ness and Poo enjoyed themselves. Just... how long had it been since he actually had fun like that? It feels.... like forever....

Ninten gathered his courage, and cleared his throat. "I...I'm sorry about last night," he said rather quietly. "I should...probably...I mean... Just because, I'm being stupid, and obsessive, doesn't mean that you guys should be, too." He was directing almost all of this at Poo, but figured that Ness might have been feeling the same way. "I should be able to do what I came here for, and still allow you guys to have fun, that's all. I...really shouldn't have acted the way that I did, and I'm sorry." He lightly shrugged his shoulders, a look of regret and worry on his face. "...still friends?"

Ness burst to the surface inhaling a lungful of air with eyes squeezed tightly shut against the blisteringly hot water on his face. "puhaaa~! You're telling me, it's hooot!" He grabbed his hat from where it bobbed a few feet away, placing it back on his head then paddling over to the rock wall. "Boy, it's been forever, hasn't it?" It took a good couple of moments before his body fully adjusted to the piping temperature and he visibly relaxed, leaning back against the comparatively cooler stone. Their current environment was much much different than Saturn Valley and it almost struck Ness as odd to find no large-nosed aliens wandering around.

The sound of someone preparing for a sober, heartfelt speech alerted Ness to Ninten's presence and he turned and immediately brightened upon seeing him standing there. He bit his tongue until the other boy finished what he had to say, because it was clear by the look on his face it was something heavy.

"Ah..." Ness sunk a little lower in the water, eyebrows raised in concern, "Ninten, don't feel bad about that, we know you didn't mean it. People get that way when they're upset or stressed out, it's natural." He then pulled himself up a bit to rest his arms on the rocks and gave him a reassuring grin. "It's okay! We wouldn't stop being friends just because of something like that!"

Ness had already expressed Poo's sentiment's exactly, so the prince merely smiled and added in shortly after Ness was done speaking, "Agreed! Why don't you join us, Ninten?" He pointed to a rack of conveniently and strategically placed rack of spare white towels near the spring entrance.

Ninten smiled at them both, tears welling up in his eyes. He wiped them away with the scarf around his neck. I promised myself no crying "Thanks, guys," he said in an inaudible whisper. Ninten did his best to recompose himself. "Sorry, I'll have to pass," he said with a smile. "I still have work to do, you know? Though, I'm pretty sure that means getting over to the girl's side of the springs." Ninten glanced off toward the springs, and started to measure the wall.
"I know that Falcon wanted to talk with Nyx, and Porky's response wasn't all that convincing." He bit his lower lip, and gave the wall a grimace. "...I'm going to need a better plan...or a diversion."

Ninten... Ness' smile remained up until Ninten politely declined Poo's offer, wherein it flipped into a disappointed half-pout half-frown. Was he really going to pass up a hot spring, just to gather information, which he somehow couldn't do on campus? Well, it wasn't Ness' place to tell him what to do. ...he could offer a few words of warning, however. The situation kind of demanded it now.

"Err, are...you allowed to do that? The girls springs are off-limits to boys..." He'd followed Ninten's gaze over to the wall separating the springs and admittedly was actually completely surprised to hear his plan of action. It was bold. Way bold, like...he needed a diversion, what, did that mean them? Ness sideglanced to Poo. "You might get in trouble..." And that meant the same for any accomplices.

Ninten glanced back at Ness, a little confused at the younger boy's concerns. Ninten gave him a reassuring grin. "Please, like I'm afraid of getting into trouble," he responded with a laugh.

He measured the distance again. "I'll bet 4-D Slip would get me up to the wall. But... after that... It doesn't look like it's good for balancing..." Ninten crossed his arms in thought. "And even then there's the fact that the wall goes straight into the faculty pool anyway." The psychic teen tapped his foot. "....Hmph, I'm going to have to take my chances."

Poo understood what he meant by work, and... no different than before questioned his methods as he mentioned parading around the girl's side of the spring. "..."

Poo in unison cast Ness a wary side glance before responding to Ninten, "...Ninten, perhaps you may have better luck searching the main lobby, or the courtyard." Poo really didn't want to encourage this behavior, but Ninten was obviously not going to be deterred no matter what the other two PSI users said. "...It is the central hub that connects all three springs, after all. Surely there will be people there."

Ninten looked at Poo seriously. He glanced down at the ground, and for a moment seemed to be in deep thought. The psychic teen nodded, and instantly shot his head up, a giant grin on his face. "Nope, I like my idea more!" he laughed.
Suddenly, his expression changed to something reassuring. "Besides, if I can just contact that Nyx..her mind, if I can just get into her thoughts, I'll find out everything I need to." Ninten pointed up to the sky, and a veil of PSI enveloped him. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. If they try to catch me, I'll just out run them," he defiantly proclaimed with a wink.

Ninten took a few steps back, and aimed himself at the wooden wall. With PSI Speed Up in effect, he could only hope that he was fast enough to get by without the teachers catching sight. Not like it mattered anyway. He was going to find out what he could, and that was that. He would take a running start, scale the wall as fast as he could, and once on the other side use 4-D Slip to get to a safer place as quickly as he could. That's all he had to do.
Be quick.
Be fast.
Don't let them see you.

He looked back at Ness and Poo. "Wish me luck."

Poo could only frown... .....and wish his friend luck. And pray that he stay out of trouble.

"Good luck."

He's even more reckless than Jeff, Ness thought grimly as Ninten readied himself for action with a speed enhancement technique. There was a chance it really could've been merely as simple as walking into the lobby and bumping into Nyx, but it appeared the older boy was more content with taking the most probable and also the most risky route. Well. At least Ness and Poo were in the clear, and hopefully their hasty friend would be too.

"Good luck," he echoed Poo's words, and Ninten was off and running.

Poo sat in the water in silence as he watched Ninten epically scale (http://community.livejournal.com/sbg_logs/74154.html?thread=2041514#t2041514) the hot springs wall and land up on the roof... causing more of a racket than he ever though could even be physically possible. ~~Poo might have facepalmed if he had such an icon.~~ Poo sighed to himself. Do not persist. Allow him to find his own path. Try to enjoy your current company.

Poo surveyed the rest of the springs quickly, spotting Jeff, Lucas and the others (http://community.livejournal.com/sbg_logs/74356.html?thread=1983348#t1983348) not far away, another student noisily splashing his feet (http://community.livejournal.com/sbg_logs/74356.html?thread=2050420#t2050420), also not far away.

"Ness. I see Jeff and the others over there," He pointed, "...but... who is that student over there?" He moved his finger over to Captain Falcon's younger form, a bit perplexed. "I do not recognize him, yet... he seems quite familiar..."

Ness' skeptical frown pulled a little deeper, seeing Ninten run straight up the wall with only a minor amount of scrambling once he reached the top, then disappear into that same wormhole-esque thing he'd used during his bout with Rayquaza. It had taken Ness up until his Magicant epiphany before he even learned how to teleport by running in a circle, nevermind interacting with objects along the way; if he tried to replicate Ninten's stunt he'd wind up smacking face-first into the wall for sure and that was never a fun experience.

His miniature bout of jealousy was short-lived however as Poo drew his attention to their other friends, all familiar save for the final student content with making waves all by himself. Ness performed a double-take once he spotted Falcon, just about to jump to a conclusion but quickly stopping himself. After all, what would the captain be doing there ~~without Olimar~~ in the boys' side, not the faculty springs, aside from the fact that meant he was all of ten years old?

"It...kind of looks like a young Mr. Falcon. I mean, the hair, and the shades-- hey!" Ness paused, thinking for a moment whether he had ever heard Falcon speak about his personal life. "Maybe he has a son? We should go say hi!" He started making his way over to Jeff and the others, figuring they could get their input, too, before approaching Falcon. For the life of him Ness couldn't remember having seen this young boy's face before, he looked too young for the school anyhow not that it didn't have its share of youthful prodigies. It could even just be a coincidence, the son of a family that happened to be visiting the springs the springs on the same day.
