Reset Everything to Zero--the Red Chain plot part two!

What: Cyrus's attempts to become a god, take 2.5. A followup to the previous thread, seperated for easier reference on Pix's suggestion.
Where: Dorms and outside
When: November 12th, early morning
Warnings: Dickitude of divine proportions Potentially the end of the world as you know it




The Red Chain burned in his hands, though there was no heat, no fire. Such irrationalities would be a thing of the forgotten past, Cyrus knew as he raised his hands to release the chain, to pull Arceus, the Original One, into its snare.

All things would end. All things would begin.

The plates flew out of it body, beginning to spin freely in the air. Its skin singed and sang in pain as it hissed at him almost like a primordial, angered creature.

It was enraged, of course. That he would dare to rise against the creator! How foolish of it!

"Yes!" Cyrus exclaimed as the elemental plates swung around him in the air. "The new world will begin on this very spot!"

When it seemed his victory was at hand...the chains tore free, the creature thrashing at them...before turning her eyes at Cyrus.

there were no whispered words. Just complete and utter silence.

The plates stopped their rotation, freezing mid-orbit around the man.

But he scarcely noticed. The chain was ripped away? That was supposed to be impossible...

What have you done? was his dominant thought, raging towards Arceus, towards the universe.

I will not be stopped.

I cannot be stopped.

Silence again. Then, the plates shattered, disappearing like an illusion finally broken, or a new master ignored.

I have saved the universe you were prepared to doom.

"...then you have damned everything. I will not permit this."

The Red Chain was still in one piece, but it had been blown across the yard. There was still hope.

"I will not permit your tyranny any longer. I will not permit you to stand in my way, in the way of the perfect world that must exist!"
