The Red Chain burned in his hands, though there was no heat, no fire. Such irrationalities would be a thing of the forgotten past, Cyrus knew as he raised his hands to release the chain, to pull Arceus, the Original One, into its snare.

All things would end. All things would begin.

Mac was in awe, and was very confused.

Of course. The young man had been against Cyrus from the beginning. This man had befriended Giovanni of all people--a sure sign of corruption!

His natural inclination was to smirk, to bare his teeth in a wicked grin, but no! No, that would be a betrayal of emotion, and those were nearing the end of their tyranny. Instead he simply glared back.
