Did someone order a DORM LOG??

Who: You, you, you, and you
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Whatever happens happens, bro!
When: September 9 - September 25
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Daisy bilnked for a moment. That was something of an out-there question. "Well, so far I haven't been put in a position where I've had to choose one or the other," she informed him. "My father still rules Sarasaland, and I go back when I can. Why? Are you having trouble juggling being here with being a ruler?"

"Not so much that," Marth began. "Akaneia understands why I am here. If it were a time of war, undoubtedly I would not leave them without my capable hands. My sister, Maric, and Lady Sheeda are all caring for Akaneia along with the knights. I imagine they are handling things just fine in my absence."

It was when he started to pace back and forth that he understood how nervous he'd become over the very thought. "I have... With great thought and consideration, I wish to confide my feelings for a very special young lady. To the fullest extent, for I have held it in for so long and I feel I can wait no longer. I wish to do this very soon. Within days of now. I just wonder if I have any right to do this with my people in Akaneia."

He fingered his chin, "Could I be considered terrible if I chose to be with someone who could not live in the light?"

Daisy had to think for a moment. But only a moment. Then she had an answer for him: "There's your problem," she told him. "If you really love her, then it's her decision to make, not yours. If you care about each other, and she can't live in the light, it's her choice to make. You can't really choose who you fall in love with."

"That I cannot disagree with. It is her decision. I can only present myself to her, to make my intentions known, so that she might not misinterpret them. The possibility that my feelings are unrequited have not slipped my mind. That may very well be the truth of the matter and I may very well be broken into two."

He shook his head, "But while that is not a primary concern, I was actually referring to whether you would think ill of me for leaving my kingdom to be with someone who was not a part of my kingdom at all. That is really the issue I am having. I am attempting to draw the line between obligation and my heart. Sometimes these two ideals can be combined, but sometimes, like the one I am in, I have to choose one over the other. If I choose my heart, does this make a horrible person, or a horrible king?"

"Oh," she said. That gave her a bit more pause. "I suppose... as a ruler your first duty is to your kingdom," she agreed. "You should follow your heart, but you can't ignore your duty to them." It was a hard thing for her to say, but she meant it.

"Ah, yes. That was what I thought as well."

He took a moment to think and tipped his head this way and that. "In all honesty, I have always believed that as my sister is the elder, that she should have been the one to inherit the throne. She is a more than capable ruler and when I was younger, it was she who took care of things so well after our parents died."

"I wanted to write to her and tell her of my situation here. Or even just to go visit Akaneia to talk to her and explain my situation. My stay here at this academy has always been temporary. But if I can obtain her blessing, then I can stay here with you, with Zelda, with Peach, with Blacky, with Knuckles, and with Midna. This is where I would like to be without having to worry about when I must leave, how long I will be away for, if I will ever return."

His head shook again, "It is nothing short of a convoluted mess. I believe wholeheartedly in my people, my sister's ability and understanding to rule in my place, but I also believe in my right to freedom and not these chains that have so bound me because my heart would be an unforgiving monster."

Daisy just listened and nodded. "If she's okay with it, and as long as you can make sure Akaneia is safe and secure, then that's what matters."

"That relieves me, if but a mite."

But he wondered if she meant it. He couldn't tell by her expression. And she was a pretty mysterious creature as it was. All women were, actually.

"One way or another, it will get resolved. I have faith and right now, that is what I am clinging to."

She nodded. "It's not much I know, but I haven't actually thought a lot about it myself. But if you have faith it'll work out, then that's what's important."

He found he couldn't disagree with her. Again. Daisy often did that to him. She was far more a fountain of knowledge than she likely knew. One day he'd tell her, but today didn't seem to be that day.

"Enough on that," he dismissed it, as though his relationship with Midna were the lightest thing ever. It wasn't, of course, but if he continued to dwell on it, who knew what Daisy or anyone else would think of him.

So he continued along, gesturing with his right hand, "Why not tell me a little more about your future plans. I intend to have a tea social in the upcoming future. You ought to attend."

"Well, I'm not really sure," she said. "I don't have much in the way of long term plans at the moment. Short term I'm hoping to join some sports teams though! I hope they start up soon."

She nodded. "I'm looking forward to it!"

He blinked as he dusted himself off. "A sports team, Daisy?" She was such a rough and tumble girl. In that respect, he could see her and Sheeda hitting it off quite well. In fact, Daisy seemed just the sort that Sheeda would quickly become fast friends with. Sheeda was far better off with girls who lacked that tact.

"I was unaware you enjoyed such things," he continued with a smile as he watched her.

"Oh yeah, I love sports," she told him. "I played a lot on all sorts of teams back home! Mostly for fun, not really professionally. One day it'd be really fun to play in the olympics, but that's pretty much a pipe dream."

"Olympics," he repeated after her. She had an idea of what the brunette meant, however. They had something sort of like it back where he'd come from, but he hadn't expected it in other places.

What a broad variety, really.

"A pipe dream. No. I do not think so, Daisy. I think if it is something you want, then we will find a way that you can accomplish it." He nodded slowly. "I would be more than happy to lend you a hand if you should need it."

"Who knows? Maybe you're right! Wouldn't that be something, huh? If I could get in?" She seemed excited by the prospect.
