Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

"Why's that funny? Isn't that what it's called? I play a lot of sports and stuff."

Considering he was currently chomping down another banana while lifting weights, he could have sworn it was an accurate term.

"Sounds good! Well, I'm just glad she has you as a friend to help her out with that stuff."

"I just think the word's amusing," Nabooru began before she addressed the rest of what he had to say.

She didn't actually know if it was correct or not, but the amount of time she heard of it in the academy, she had to assume that it was. At least to some degree. Why else would he say it? He wasn't the one with the foreign language under his belt. At least, not that she knew of.

"I just do what I can. Don't give me too much credit. I just want to see her happy. As far as I know, that's what friends do."

"It is. And you're a great friend to both of us. So, thanks. And I mean that."

It was important to him that Goombella had other friends - he couldn't be the only person she spent time with and had fun with, after all. Especially with how busy they both were. Or he was.

Nabooru paused for a moment and she smiled. "It's fine. You don't need to thank me for that. Really. That's kind of one of those things that you don't have to show gratitude for."

She stretched her arms over her head. "I'm thinking I should take a few lessons from you and get to work. I've been lazy all day. Annnnnd I should probably stop that."

"haha! Fair enough!" Knuckles replied with a nod and a grin. "Can't let me build ALL the muscle, right? Or are you gonna work on lesson plans or somethin'?"

"I think I'm going to work on lesson plans. There's still stuff to teach regarding the pasodoble. There's no sense to be letting you guys off so easy just yet. Especially you and Goombella."

She grinned as she straightened her posture again, "So you be good, or I'll give you two times the homework and start demanding essays." And Nabooru almost never requested those. But perhaps she ought to have started to.

"Hah! OK, Teacher. I'll be good and do all my homework. Heck, I'd do an essay if you assigned one. You know I would. It might not be a great one, but I'd give it my best. We might be buddies, but in that classroom, you're the boss." He grinned and shot her a wink, but he meant it.

She snorted. "So glad to know my status behind a desk is different than the one I have when I'm out of my classroom. Hard to say how many people actually view that about me." Then she lifted a hand and waved, "Let me know if there's anything I can help you out with. Otherwise, I'll see you in your next class, or the halls, or on the network, or everywhere else."
