Did someone order a DORM LOG??

Who: You, you, you, and you
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Whatever happens happens, bro!
When: September 9 - September 25
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

She mimicked him just to make her point. Her cheeks puffed out and she wiggled her ears before her face relaxed into a smile. "Oh, good! I don't like it when people are upset with me. Besides, we've gotten along so well thus far! It'd be silly to let one thing ruin all of that, you know."

Slippy nodded his head vigorously in agreement. His cap on his wobbled a little in the process. "Yup!"

While Slippy was someone who easily got riled up, he typically didn't hold on to grudges for too long.

Then she shook her head and straightened her posture. "What were you doing before Caprice decided to attach herself to you? I didn't interrupt you from something important, did I?"

For all she knew, he'd been doing homework and she'd completely ruined that. She imagined if that were truly the case, it wouldn't be the last time she did something like that either.

He pointed to the toaster with its casing cast aside, revealing the appliance's heating coils.

"I was going through this toaster I found in the trash this morning for spare parts."

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-09-19 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
She moved ever so carefully to get a look at the toaster and its coils. She'd never seen the inside of one and she knew very little about anything of that sort. "Spare parts for what? I didn't even know anything inside of a toaster could be used for anything other than a toaster."

Agitha laughed weakly. Whereas she she was quite knowledgeable on the subject of bugs, anything outside of that (baking aside) was somewhat lost on her.

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-09-19 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
"I can use the casing for scrap metal," he explained. "Screws and bolts are used in almost every kind of machinery and most of the ones I found are still in pretty good shape."

He tapped a stubby finger on one of the coils. "I'm still not sure what I use the coils for but I'm gonna keep 'em just in case. I'm sure I can make a weapon or something out of them."

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-09-19 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Machinery... Yes. Agitha didn't know a lick about that, which came as no great surprise. Machinery and bugs weren't even similar to one another. It sounded like Slippy knew exactly what he was talking about, though. And that was what really mattered.

She leaned onto the counter and stared at the coils for a long moment before she spoke again. "They look like hair curls, you know? Like for girls who have the really, really curly hair. Don't you think so?"

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-09-20 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Hair curls?"

He gave the coils a long hard stare. Come to think of it, they did bear a faint resemblance...Sort of.

"They do, don't they?" he replied in agreement.

"You could make a robot girl," Agitha teased, not actually know what a robot was at all.

Then she lightened a bit and rubbed at the bridge of her nose in thought. "Hmmm! I'm not really sure what they could be used for. If they were larger, you could make them trellises for plants that need something to cling to in order to grow upwards."

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
"A robot girl...Maybe I can build ROB a girlfriend," he suggested before chuckling to himself at the thought. Did ROB care about romance? Slippy never did focus much over his personality or emotions when he and Beltino programmed him.

"Maybe trellises for little plants?"

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Agitha almost asked if ROB needed a girlfriend. But she felt better of it and decided to move along when he mentioned trellises. There was a nod given in encouragement, "I think that sounds perfect. I'm not sure what kind of plants would work well with those, however... Maybe something like petunias. Those sometimes really need some additional support to stay up."

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-09-23 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
"I guess," he replied tersely.

Slippy had a decent grasp of botany. If someone asked him about the process of photosynthesis, pollination or the genetic laws of inheritance, he would be able to provide answers that would span for pages. This did not mean he knew about gardening.

Spending his whole life in the city and later in a space ship, Slippy had practically no experience with handling plants other than helping build the greenhouse. Again, he was versed in the basics but was no expert in the field.

"I think some legumes need support too," he said but the tone of his voice made it clear that he was not sure in the least bit.

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-09-24 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Agitha... honestly didn't know either. So she couldn't resist laughing and brushing her hands over her face. "I don't know much about gardening at all. I don't even know what a legume is. Isn't that silly?"

Then she shook her head as she fixed her hair from previously messing it up with childish antics. "We could always ask Miss Erika? She's the real gardener. You know, the one who was behind the construction of the beautiful greenhouses. I bet the gardens were done by her, too!"

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-10-03 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
"'Legume' is the name of the family beans and peas belong to," he explained while picking up a screwdriver and getting back to work.

"Erika? Oh yeah, I remember her!" he grunted as he tried to free a screw that was stuck in tight. "Maybe she'd know what we could do with these coils."

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
"Ohhhh." Yeah. She definitely didn't know that. When he started prying again, she found something to hide behind.

You know. Just in case he broke something and it went flying, or maybe if something blew up. No sense in her getting hurt and not being able to help him. "She might! We should ask her!"

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Slippy paid now attention to her. He was too busy at the task at hand.

"Come on...just a b-WHOAH!"

The screw broke free and was sent flying across the room. Slippy's eyes bulged as the metal piece sailed straight into the wall.

The frog blinked in awe at the screw now lodged into the wall before silently pushing aside the toaster, not wanting to take the risk of someone losing an eye.

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. She knew that was going to happen. Hence the reason she'd already gone into hiding.

She waited a few moments before she spoke up, "Slippy, are you okay?" And then she shuffled, dusted off her dress, and went to go scout for him. Which surely he couldn't be too far, unless he'd gone diving somewhere that she couldn't see.

"What just happened?"

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Slippy's eyes remained fixated on the screw.

"I...I think I'm gonna work on this later."

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
She blinked thoughtfully and finally straightened out as she stopped by him. "Hrm..." She looked down to him and patted him on the head. "You're sure, you're okay?"

[identity profile] getthisguyoffme.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah," he replied. "It didn't hit me in the face. Are you okay?"

[identity profile] cutelilbugs.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
She nodded rather enthusiastically. "Yes! I'm just fine." Then she motioned down to herself. "Not a scratch on me or my clothes. Maybe you shouldn't do that again, though." And she wasn't about to say she'd considered that might happen. After all, he already looked like he was feeling sheepish enough.
