Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

A knock! Ashley hates knocks, but maybe it's someone inquiring about magical assistance, in which case she can dupe the poor chump into giving her something interesting. That will be excellent.

Vivi receives an answer in the form of a tiny girl flinging the door open.

"Yes?"

"A-Ah!" The violent nature of the door swing has caught Vivi somewhat off balance, causing him to topple over backwards onto the floor. He grabs his hat, making sure it's not in danger of falling off before looking up at her, quite surprised that this strange girl doesn't look much older than he does.

"I-I r-read the sign..." He mumbles, unsure whether to stand up again or not yet. "D-Did you write it?"

She very obviously looked Vivi up and down, and didn't bother to offer a hand when he fell, only watching him with an unamused stare as he got back on his feet.

"Of course I wrote it. Who else would?"

"I-I dunno... I-I-I just thought... it might have been a-another mage..." He mumbled as he got back onto his feet, dusting down his odd choice of clothing as he did.

"... are y-you a mage miss?" He asked, hoping that the conversation might cause her to change that scary expression she had.

She regarded this new arrival with no small air of suspicion, folding her arms and looking him up and down.

"I'm a witch," she replied matter-of-factly.

There wasn't really much to look at - just some strange little boy without a face and a reaaaaaally tall hat, though those bright yellow eyes of his stand out quite fantastically.

"... w-witch?" Unfortunately for Ashley, Vivi had never heard the term of 'witch' before - in Gaia, the only people who could cast magic as he was aware of, were all mages (of various colours.)

"D-Does that mean y-you cast a d-different kind o-of magic?" He shifted uncomfortably under her glare.

And yet that was exactly what intrigued Ashley about this strange visitor, enough to not throw him out for being a nervous stutterer.

She leaned on her door frame, still scrutinizing him.

"Sure does. I'm Ashley. Who are you?"

"V-Vivi Ornitier... p-pleased to meet you." He offered Ashley a gloved hand, though it was clear that he was anything but please at this moment in time, but he had been taught to be polite, and that was what he would do.

"I-I'm n-new here a-and was just... wondering w-what you meant b-by... 'assistance'..."

Ashley looked at his hand skeptically for a moment before finally shaking it--then withdrawing and abruptly crossing her arms.

"People come to me with their problems, and I fix them. Not for free, though."

That was very important to note.
