Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

[IT'S SO BRIGHT AND COLOURFUL. Riley's sorta kinda very amazed. It's a kids show. It had to be.]

... There's a Pokemon petting zoo in the city. It's the same sort of aura from this show.

Just outside the city, there's an open space. A big field enclosed by fences. It's almost farm-like. There are a wide variety of gentle Pokemon in that field, and you can play with them and as the name states, interact with them via touch.

It's not far from here - the Academy is some distance from the city as it is and as I said, the open space is part of the appeal. The owner is a woman named Hayley, I'm told.

Do the Pokemon enjoy being enclosed, though? They cannot roam beyond their boundaries. Are they okay with that? Is this Hayley person an acceptable trainer?

I'm sure these Pokemon enjoy the security of having a home. And Hayley takes care of the Pokemon to the best of her ability. Hence the reason she allows people to visit and play with the Pokemon for a fee, I assume she needs the income for their upkeep.

Besides...

[Riley reaches out and takes N's hand, grasping it gently.]

[He presses his lips to N's hand and kisses it gently. Inside really he's all "OMG DAAAAAAAATE." Riley lowers the hand in his but does not relinquish his grip.]

[Riley turns his attention back to the TV but he isn't really watching it. Now everybody was dancing and having a party. All the Ponytas were happy and sharing cookies as well.]

We shall be flying there on my Salamence and of course, Lucario and Metagross will be coming along.

I see. I would love to bring Archeops and Carracosta along. Maybe more of my Pokemon would like to accompany me, but they enjoy wildlife the most.

[He couldn't help but smile a little wider as the Ponyta began to party, and... wow, what song was Pinkie singing? It's adorable.]

[Riley walks over to the window and looks down. For a moment he's glowing blue and then he steps back. One Salamence and One Metagross are floating and trying to allow themselves to be seen through the window.]

N, this is Salamence and Metagross. They're... a bit too large to enter the building.

You were glowing for a moment. Are they able to naturally float or are you able to cause that?

Goodness no. I used my aura to call out for them. Aura can do so much, but telekinesis is not one of them.

Metagross is a Steel/Psychic type. Through some force, it can repel gravity. Salamence is in possession of a lovely set of wings, as a Dragon/Flying type. As I previously mentioned, Salamence will be taking us to the petting zoo.

[Riley opens the window and Salamence, having the longer neck sticks it's head in and lets out a small roar.]

[There's a metallic clink coming from the edge of the window and Salamence scoots over to allow Metagross' eye to see inside.]

[N isn't at all fazed by the Salamence. His father's Hydreigon was much more, um... terrifying. Even then, sometimes, Pokemon just can't help it.

Hydreigon was legit terrifying, though, ngl.

He reached out to pet Salamence on the head, his heart bubbling with excitement.]

[Riley turns to glare at the dragon who slinks off. Metagross sounds like it's chuckling now and follows after the retreating Salamence. He takes a deep breath and turns back to N. Man these feelings were complicated to deal with.]

I... well, my Pokemon like talking and jesting don't they?

[He takes N's hand again and holds it for reassurance.]

Hayley, the trainer at the petting zoo, often has eggs to give to trainers so perhaps we can procure one from her. I have no doubt with your sensibilities, the egg is in great hands.

I should hope so. I've never raised a Pokemon from an egg before, but beyond the baby stage, it shouldn't be to difficult.
