Did someone order a DORM LOG??

Who: You, you, you, and you
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Whatever happens happens, bro!
When: September 9 - September 25
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Goombella was not just spending some time in her room studying or preparing for future club activities. She was willing to offer school help as a TA. Or if you were lucky you could find her while she was watching some manner of anime.

Nabooru liked checking in on Goombella, just to make sure things were still operating smoothly. So she took time out of her oh-so-busy schedule to stop on by Goombella's dormitory. Then she knocked and patiently waited.

In fact, today was a special day. She had gotten something for Goombella.

Busy with a paper, Goombella put aside her books and pencil, getting up. "Coming!" she called out, heading for the door and opening it. "Oh! Nabooru! Come on in!"

Nabooru smiled fondly and she showed herself in. Then she settled a hand on her hip and gestures with the free one after scratching at her chin lightly. "Am I interrupting something important? I'm sure I can come back later."

"No, it's okay," she said. "I'm due for a break anyway! What's up?" she asked, sitting on her chair and looking up at her friend.

With one hand, she closed the door after her and settled her hands behind her back in a most suspicious manner. "I wanted to know if your ears were pierced." She hoped they were, she had to admit that she'd never actually looked at Goombella's ears.

"Huh? Well, yeah," she said. "I don't wear earrings all that much, just on special occasions. Why?"

"Well..."

She inched over to Goombella and tilted her head this way and that, "I got you a little something. So pick from my left or right and you can have a present, all right?"

Because Nabooru liked her games and Goombella was fun to play with.

Well. That was odd. But what the hell. She leaned over and tried to see if she could peek behind Nabooru at her hands, but failing that, she said, "Left."

Nabooru pushed forward her left hand and opened it, palm facing up. In the very center, lied a pair of earrings. Nothing superbly amazing or intricate, but certainly eye-catching.

"I was pretty sure you're not like me," she explained. "I like gaudy stuff, especially if it's for my ears or my neck." Strangely enough Nabooru didn't wear any rings or anything like that. "I hope these are okay."

"Wow... Those are pretty!" she replied, looking them over. She looked up at Nabooru. "Are you sure it's okay for me to have these?" she asked. She was surprised at the beautiful gift.

The Gerudo nodded and brought forth her other hand, exposing identical earring, but more in a golden yellow - evidently to represent her own eyes. "Yes. It's perfectly okay. This way, we can have matching earrings. Friends do this kind of thing, right? I thought it'd be cool to have something that only the two of us have. It connects us together. In a way."

"I think it's a great idea!" Goombella announced happily. She hopped up to her feet, holding up the earrings. "Let's try them on!" She hurried to her mirror.

And inside, Nabooru was beside herself with glee. Good. Goombella liked them, which was really what she'd been worried about. But the first worry was that Goombella hadn't worn earrings. If that had been the case, Nabooru likely would have just made a necklace or something equally easier to wear.

She followed after the blonde and very carefully sought for the holes higher above the ones she normally wore and with ginger motions pushed one through the hole and then the other. And then she admired herself, because yes, she did think she was certainly one pretty lady.

Sometimes.

"I was a little afraid you either wouldn't like them or you didn't wear earrings or something."

Goombella smiled as she fumbled with the earrings. She didn't wear them often. "You don't have to worry about that," she said. "It's a gift from the heart, so of course I'd like them! But yeah, I know I don't really wear them around much... I don't wear jewelery a lot, just being practical, you know? Maybe a couple of accessories, nothing heavy." She stopped herself when she realized she was rambling. Finally getting the earrings in, she turned to Nabooru. "How do I look?" she asked.

When Goombella showed them off to her, Nabooru was quick to flash a smile. They really did look good on her, after all. And the Gerudo had suspected they would - not that she was about to say anything of the sort.

Then she nodded. "It's a good look for you. Some people think jewelry's only meant to make someone look pretty. But when you're already pretty, having jewelry would be a bit of a waste. I actually wear my earrings because it gives me something to fiddle around with when I get bored."

Technically it was true, but it wasn't the whole story, nor did she have the intention of sharing that at this point in time.

"I guess so," she said, admiring her new jewelery. "I mean, I don't wear earrings all that much, but I'll definitely be wearing these around! Thanks again!"

"It's no big deal." Nabooru smiled happily and folded her arms across her chest as she shook her head. "You can go show them off to your boyfriend and if he says anything other than you're the most beautiful girl in the universe, I'll beat the Hell out of him."

And she would, too.

Goombella laughed. "Don't worry, he's smarter than that," she reminded him.

"You'd like to think so." She tipped her head this way and that in thought. "Sometimes you have to wonder. Guys like to frequently open mouth and insert foot, so I expect them to be idiots from time to time."

"Maybe so, but Knuckles usually keeps that to a minimum," Goombella giggled.

"Well, good," Nabooru replied as she scratched at her chin with thought. "I guess he is pretty well-behaved for the most part. Not immune to err, but a good kid all the same."

Come to think of it, she didn't know how old Knuckles or Goombella were in relation to her. But then the way almost everything in Hyrule had an extended lifespan, and given she was much older than she looked, she was probably still a great deal older.

"Either way, I hope he thinks they compliment you as much as I do."

"Nobody's perfect, but that's part of what makes us people, right?" she asked.

"Oh, I'm sure he will," she chuckled. "Thanks again."

It was an interesting thing to hear her say, but Nabooru paused momentarily. Nobody was perfect and imperfections made them people. What a thing to hear. There was merit in it, of course, and Nabooru was anything but perfect. But she'd also never accused anyone of being perfect either.

"It's nothing," she finally said. "You're something of a sister. I like the idea of looking out for you." Mostly because she had this huge hole in her and Goombella helped fill it in from time to time.

"I like to think we look out for each other," she replied. "It's funny. I don't have any real siblings to compare it to."
