We must band together to defeat her!

Who: Primal Dialga and YOU!
What: Dana uses that horrid move and YOU have to fight her to stop it
Where: Within the City
When: Saturday Jan 15, Dusk
Warnings: Ffffighting drama, action etc.

Slowly but surely her mind had been sinking, crumbling... taken out of the norm of her reality that she had known. Slowly removing her own sense of what is right and replacing it with what she believed was right. Primal instinct taking her over every moment that she was in this beastly form that had been taking her over. Her random snaps, her unusually high temper, all signs of her change. Even trying to barter with her was useless, she was already too deep to try to reason with words of reason. Losing all senses. Everything was slowly fading from her reality. They had broken from the boundaries and slipped past her fingers. It was bothering her in the worst sense possible. It had broken her, she tried to control what she knew would have happened if she hadn't tried to restrain herself.

Until she snapped. The Dialga angrily stormed from the school and sought out the highest point she could humanly go. She reached the top of the building of choice and gripped onto the edge, staring down the school. Dana snorted loudly, her judgment truly clouded at this point. Strapped within a veil, she knew that she could not take it. She had to do it. The move that would never usually use without the best intentions. She took a few steps back off the edge and transformed back into her bestial form. The concrete below her cracked slightly, but it was able to secure her heavy weight with ease. She craned her neck back slightly, mouth open wide as she began to charge up a shot. Her back fins began to glow and extended with power, her red diamond flickered and glowed brightly.

The Dialga waited until the attack was fully charged and pointed her neck and head up to the sky. The attack was unleashed, letting off a sinister roar in the process. The Roar began to disrupt the area around her. She knew that everything around her and within the circumference of the attack was already under the influence of the lack and the slowing of time itself. Birds that had been trapped were flying much slower than normal, the citizens did not notice her, but just steadily walked on at an achingly slow pace at points. The angry pokemon let off another roar, minus the extension of another attack. She glanced out to the school, or... what happened to be engulfed and hissed. She had hoped that the would have been able to engulf more of it. The front office had been her only target of the school. Everything else was free from her grip upon time. She was still very much angry, but she had to reserve what energy she had after the Roar. With a quick transformation, she sat back down on the edge of the building where she had been and watched what she had created. She was ready for whatever they had in store for her.

[Couple of notes:
1) I'm going to be setting this up as it goes. Feel free to ask to make a thread if needed, but please keep to what I have? :va
2) RoT's effects will be in effect until Dana is fainted. Whoops.
3) The first two threads are up, third will be there when everyone makes it to the top.
When they do face off against Dana; I will make the thread and the separate parties will attack her. :V
^ And that is up now! \o/
.... which then I'll do a conclusion thread woohoo

On another note for those who need the quick explanation of said Roar! The attack is encasing a circumference equal to that of a portion of the city and just enough to hit the front office of the school. Everywhere else is under the influence of the attack, which means that they are operating at full speed. When you enter and become under the influence of the roar, time is very skewed. The character will hit spots of time slowing down, which is her trying to fix the fact that people who should not be in this current time period should be taken back. Either way it doesn't work to put them back in time. It's just screwing up junk..

If there was one thing he learned from his spar with Max, it was that being airborne had its own considerable weaknesses. For one thing, unless you could fly or had some sort of momentum thrust, then it was pretty damn hard to change trajectory.

He knew that Sludge Bombs wouldn't be able to hurt her in any way, unlike its usual corrosive effect on squishier, non-Steel opponents, but it would damn well piss her off. Vinnie spat out a series of small, purple pellets, as easily as he would've watermelon seeds. Aimed for Dana's face, each one would explode on contact into a shockingly wide burst of noxious vomit.

Let's see if she could still hit him with a few sheets of thick, sticky, gooey poison sludge slathered over her.

...Gross. Oh man, she was pretty pissed off, that goes without a doubt. Screeching as soon as the attack met her face, she stopped her attack and began to claw at her face. Forgetting that she was still airborne, she fell and rolled right past the Venusaur.

What else could she do while she was busy with the sludge that was nicely all over her face? Randomly fire off a couple more Dragon Breath strikes, of course. Dana knew that she was especially vulnerable for an attack, and had to keep her defenses situated. Especially now that she was on the ground of all places.

Good thing her aim was completely off now - avoiding the frenzied streams of her Dragon Breath was easy enough. That let Vinnie put some more space between them, take a split second to breathe. A bit of the nausea was coming back, something he forced himself to choke down. If Dana's eyes weren't obscured by both rage and sludge, she would've been able to notice that Vinnie was breathing a bit heavier than he should, he was paler and starting to sweat.

If this came down to close combat, he was screwed. For now, he fired off a few more aimed laser blasts, charged up for greater hurt.

Being hit with those charged shots proved to be too much for her. He ended up hitting her square in her side and it really proved to be painful to her. She had enough of the sludge out of her eyes to see only a partial bit of her surroundings, but it proved to be enough for her to get the hell up and run.

She trusted her judgment, even if it proved to be... well... not even the best thing to be trusting right now. Did she see the barrier concrete that came up to her knees? No, she didn't. Did she realize that the thing on the other side of this barrier was... nothing? Oh yeah, she did. Before she ended up falling all the way down, Dana grabbed the edge of the concrete, digging her claws into it. She was stuck as is, trying to get herself steady to climb back up. To be honest? It looked as if she was fighting to stay on the edge by how frantic she was to stay on there.

She had metal claws, sharp enough to pierce concrete. And she had Dragon breath still. There was no way that Vinnie could let his guard down, even with Dana in such a state.

He just sat back, waiting. There was no doubt that even if he destroyed her grip, she had the strength to haul herself back on the roof. The fall wouldn't be enough to incapacitate her if she couldn't manage it. And Vinnie wanted to keep her where he could see her.

"So, did you see this coming?" There was the sound of whirring as the oar reverted back into its default form, conserving energy.

When she finally did get her grip, she scurried up as quickly as she could. That was way too close for comfort, even for her. Relying on her senses, she looked out toward his voice and the oar.

She snarled at him. Was he actually saying that? If she wasn't angry enough, the fact that he was still egging her on as he did absolutely angered her. She was close to just turning back to her pokemon form and taking him out, but something forbade her from doing so. Dana was slightly backing off from trying to attack him for the moment. She knew that whatever she would try he'd meet her with that oar. Especially with her vision still blurred, she had to be wary as ever.

Of course, she knew she had to at least keep moving, and began to circle him, that disgusting growl bubbling up her throat.

Re: To the top; Vs. Primal Dialga

Vinnie kept his eyes trained on Dana the entire time, searching for the slightest hint of an attack from her. He hadn't really considered why Dana had deigned to transform and just stomp him flat, but it was really the largest concern on his mind.

He wasn't done egging, either. "You think your Mom's gonna stand for this shit you're pulling? For someone worried 'bout the Godlady, you're being pretty fuckin' dumb."

The Venusaur's grip tightened around his oar, ready to activate the lightsaw.

The girl twitched her claws slightly, painfully twitching her tail.

She snorted. Nothing was in the way of stopping her, she wasn't going to take anything from anyone, especially her mother. Another twitch of her claws.

"NO ONE...CAN STOP ME...!" she snarled, finally finding her voice again.

Another airy hiss escaped her mouth, showing off her glistening fangs. She was actually trying to plan out something, but she had a good figure of one sure motive. Attack.

She had to do it. Even knowing what she would have been met with, she flexed her claws, readying herself for another Metal Claw.

In the instant that Dana charged at him, another bright flare lit up on his oar - this time, in the flat edge of his paddle's blade. A loud hum exploded just as the hardlight formed a oversized saw - a chainsaw made of lasers.

Lash, you are amazing.

With one hand discreetly palming something from the built-in pez dispenser in the grip of the oar, he swung the weapon knowing that the huge, cutting blade of the lightsaw gave him a reach advantage over the time god's deadly claws.

Shew knew that it was danger.

Anything regarding that damn oar was absolute danger. With the fact that it wasn't laser beam this time put her at a slight ease, but the other fact that it was still a dangerous tool kept her up on her toes.

She tried to stop herself in the middle of her stride, misplacing her bulky footing. Instead of running right for him, she was now rolling right into him, unable to stop herself at the moment.

The wide swing of his lightsaw left him open - well, Vinnie wasn't exactly the top student in Joshua's swordsmanship class yet - but at least Dana was off-balance. He had to take the risk of letting her close in order to make sure this worked.

Deftly, he planted a single Worry Seed on the stumbling dragon's body - somewhere in her hair, where it'd be hard to comb out. It was a tiny thing, but potent enough to shake a person from their focus, reach into the hidden pits of anxiety and dig them out.

Dana, you knew deep inside you that what you were doing was goddamn wrong. So Vinnie was going to give you a literal seed of doubt. Had this been his plan all along? Maybe. He had to make her rethink her actions somehow in this primal state.

Re: To the top; Vs. Primal Dialga

[identity profile] primaldelusion.livejournal.com 2011-01-18 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Outside? She wouldn't want anything to prove that she was doing wrong, but on the inside? Looking past the creature that was causing all of this damage - the part of he that was actually trying to take control - was exceptionally thankful for what he had done. The move that he had used was going to have a slightly greater effect than planned in the future.

For now, though? As they drew closer and he planted the seed on her, she saw that he was too close for comfort. Despite the aches in her tail, she whipped it right in his direction, knowing that she'd be able to hit him. tumbling by, Dana was finally able to stop herself. With the distance again, she turned and stood, slightly leaning to the side.

A thought began to bubble in the back of her mind, one of... perhaps this was not the best way to fix what has been broken.... This was quickly dismissed, snarling and shaking her head lightly.

And her tail hit Vinnie hard, taking the wind out of him completely. For a split second his vision was stabbed with bright black bursts as pain shot across his whole body, suffocating, paralyzing, nauseating. He went limp, flying backwards several feet in the air.

The Venusaur landed in a heap, crashing against unkind concrete like a ragdoll. Vinnie lay there, unmoving for what seemed like ages before, weakly, he gave a small groan and rolled his head to the side. The way his fingers twitched and his knees dragged themselves, it looked like he was trying to curl up to protect his aching, vulnerable torso - with little success. His body had stopped listening to him.

It only took one hit, but Vinnie was out of the fight - though his grip was so tight on his oar that not even death could pry it out.

She watched his downfall with a sinister grin on her face. A kind of tooth-filled grin that seemed almost downright bloodthirsty. It seemed almost too easy to fall her prey, forgetting that he had recently sustained injuries before their skirmish. Roaring mightily, her primal instincts took hold of her again. Kill. Kill... Kill him! He deserved to die! To think that he could actually challenge a god and expect her to be anything but the victor was absolutely foolish. With all uncertainties, she had the advantage.

As she began to advance toward his body, she went a good foot before stopping. This was wrong... You know very well not to hurt the ones you love. This is not the right thing to do.

That voice! The one from before.... It had returned yet again, slightly stronger this time. Dana hissed against the soft voice that flittered through her mind. "NO...! I... WILL NOT LISTEN!" she shrieked in retaliation. There was no way some VOICE was going to make her judgment sway the other way.

Re: To the top; Vs. Primal Dialga

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-01-19 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Dana's conflicted shrieking was enough to pierce the muddled veil between unconsciousness and waking. Vinnie stirred, though opening his eyes seemed to be an ordeal in itself. His head felt stuffy, throbbing, and from his experience in the past few weeks, he knew that if he got up too fast then he was prone to just being sick.

The pressure that Dana had been exerting was lifted though, so he knew that the seed was at least doing something. How much of an affect it'd ultimately have on a god was certain.

The fact that she hadn't stomped a hole straight through his chest was a good sign. Forcing one eye open to watch her, Vinnie managed to squeeze a dry wheeze from his aching torso. "What... do you really want?"

What would mother think? What have you done?

The voice was actually up to the point of slightly frightening her. The legendary felt a slight knock in her knees, shakily snarling. Dana had to move. Something inside of her pressed her to start moving again. The dinosaur began to uneasily pace in an odd circle, clutching onto her head and continuously showing her fangs and snarling. The voice was very much getting to her, and the added question from Vinnie left her at her ends. It was him that did this to her, she was mentally sound - as much as a feral animal could be anyways - and was unable to figure out what he had done to her to make her begin to crack even more and fall to her norm of reality.

When he asked the question, she stopped in her tracks, not even facing him anymore. Spinning around, she let off a pained cry. "FIX THIS. I HAVE TO FIX... WHAT HAS BEEN BROKEN!!!" she began to explain, slamming her tail into the concrete. "TIME LINE. IT HAS CRACKED. I NEED... TO CLOSE IT... AS SOON AS I CAN... THE ONLY WAY I CAN!"

All the while she was still searching for the voice in the back of her head from the outside, she had to silence it anyway possible.

Still pretty unfamiliar with the sheer temporal variety at Smash, Vinnie really had no idea what she was talking about. Something was broken, she kept repeating that, but it was still beyond his understanding.

He could at least tell that the seed was reaching some part of her, deep down inside. For now, he was going to shut his mouth and watch this play out, because the primal Dana's inner voice was going to do a much better job fighting her than he could manage right now.

Quietly, he tried to sit up - or at least roll over and get off his back, he was way too vulnerable like this - and compose himself, without attracting too much of her notice.

[identity profile] primaldelusion.livejournal.com 2011-01-19 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
Thankfully for him, she was much too busy with the worry seed to realize what he was doing. Before too long, those claws that were weaving through her hair stopped instantly. She found the source. It was.. a spherical object of sorts. Dana straight up ripped it from the roots, clenching her teeth in slight pain.

And that was the culprit. A fucking seed that Vinnie had planted on her. Now that she was free from the lingering voices, she turned her vision slowly toward Vinnie. You totally weren't wanting this to happen, were you Vin? .. Too bad bro. She turned all the way to face him, flexing her claws angrily again. "HOW...DARE YOU?...."

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
No, this wasn't really ideal. Vinnie had managed to lift his upper body off the ground, but everything still hurt. All the same, the Venusaur shot her an irreverent, shit-eating grin in defiance of her obvious power over him.

"Just testin' my luck," he sneered. His knuckles were white has he clenched the grip of his oar between his fingers, but he knew the fight was done.

[identity profile] primaldelusion.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah she didn't take that grin as something friendly or playful any longer. Not that she hadn't in the first place but... whatever.

She strode over to him, right out of the reach of the oar in case he did attack her once more. Pondering it... She pondered a few things she could do to him. Looked him right in the eye and took another step. That brutally cold stare she kept. She had to get close to him, just one more time.

She wanted him out of her sight for good.

Re: To the top; Vs. Primal Dialga

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
He was beginning to regain himself in the aftermath of her attack - well, thank goodness she was taking her time. There had to be something left of the Dana he had met only a short while ago in December, but it seemed like in the end, she wasn't able to win out after all. Was he wrong in trying to lay his trust on whatever glimmer of kindness she showed him once?

Vinnie forced himself onto his feet, though he still was feeling too lightheaded to stand. He was half balanced on the oar propped for support, and shooting the Dialga a seething glare along with his smirk.

Was he scared? Sure, knowing that this psycho lady could gut him like a Magikarp on a whim. But hell if he was going to show it - that was one satisfaction she wasn't going to get out of him.

Would she really kill him though? A part of him still doubted it. Probably that was some sentimental delusion, rather than genuine trust. "If this is what you really want, then fuckin' get on with it already."

Re: To the top; Vs. Primal Dialga

[identity profile] primaldelusion.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Peh. He looked so pathetic. It was almost too easy to down him as she did. The way he struggled to keep himself steady, but at the same time the way his boldness just seemed to shine through.

It almost hurt her inside. It almost did. She didn't have the mentality to actually take his life. That one speckle of good that was trying to reach her kept her from that.

As the distance between them drew to a close, she looked at him and looked to the nearest sideline. Over the edge. If he had to go it was that way. Forgetting at all about the effects of the slowdown from the roar. She thought that it would be a quick and painless end to him.

Using her mostly uninjured arm to support most of his weight, she hoisted the Venusaur up slightly. Just enough for his legs to lightly dangle. While looking back and forth, she glanced back to his face. Fuck. She couldn't. She couldn't do it. Hesitation lingered in her grip for a good moment.

And then she did it. Dana threw him over the edge of the building, turning around shortly after she had done the deed. Luckily for him the descent that he would have to take would be a slow one, one that would end with perhaps the smallest of injuries.

Did she really care, though? Of course. ... A little anyways. Shaking her head lightly, she walked away from the edge, she had to sit down and rest. The Dialga needed it like no other creature would.

Re: To the top; Vs. Primal Dialga

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
It was a pretty surreal experience. For a moment there, looking into the glow of her eyes, feeling the sheer pressure of her presence before him, he was without words. The weight of what it was to face a god... ha, he was an idiot, wasn't he?

Thoughts began to trickle back once the realization that his feet were being dangled off the side of the building. Mostly along the lines of shit shit shit, fucking shit, this is going to hurt. He was pretty sure it wouldn't be enough to kill him - in Venusaur form, he was capable of jumps pretty high and far. Not as high as this building, but... it was the difference between being a smear on the ground and only having all your legs broken from absorbing the impact.

Vinnie opened his mouth just slightly as if to say something, taking in one last hiss of breath before the god's grip on him was released and, of course, he fell.

It should've been over in an instant. By the time he finished blinking, the pavement was supposed to be rushing in to meet him. But he blinked, and he blinked again, and he was still around halfway down the side of the building. Everything was... slow?

Oh. Right. He'd forgotten about that. Seemed like Dana had too. Cushioned by the Roar of Time's effects itself, Vinnie's descent was going at a sluggish speed of not-very-far per minute. His own movements were slowed as well, but the Venusaur was still aware enough to take advantage of this warping. It was still unknown whether the effect would pass, or if his momentum would still turn this into a painful fall, and he was taking no chances.

(A small part of him wondered whether Dana actually knew this was going to happen. But then he remembered the look in her eyes, and threw that theory out.)

Taking his oar, Vinnie (very, very slowly) activated the lightsaw again, and as soon as he saw an opening, thrust the blade into the side of the building to slow his fall even more. It wasn't easy holding onto the oar as it sawed its way down - if his ribs weren't cracked, then they were definitely bruised - but in a situation like this, pain wasn't the first thing on his mind anymore.

He managed to hold on until the very end, where the lightsaw was pulled out and - Pop! - he was a Venusaur again. The Pokemon slammed into the concrete pavement, soaking up the force into the wide pads of his feet. It hurt, and sidewalk now had new cracks where he landed. But it wasn't something he'd have to text Red about from the Pokecentre.

God, he had to stop doing this sort of shit. Woozily, he shifted back into human form, managing to limp a few steps before he just... fell over.

His head was going to explode. He felt sick. Everything about that fight was suddenly rebounding on his body and he was. Just going to lie here for a little while. Until everything stopped spinning. Okay?
