What: Exploring the city

Where: On campus, then downtown
Warnings: Not really.

It had been a while since Eusine and Morty had hung out. Sure they spent some time together during Halloween, but that was still at school. Not to mention Eusine still was not sure what to think about the choice of costumes. He had agreed anyway out of good spirit, but Halloween was usually cold and his arms became particularly frozen that day.

But there was no point in complaining. In fact, Eusine was sure today was going to be a great day. He was going to spend time with a dear friend and explore the city together. He had already been at the school for a while, but he hadn't had time to really go into FDC. This would be a good experience for him. And if they happen to hear any Legendary Pokemon related rumors while downtown, that also would be good too.

Nearing Morty's room, Eusine knocked on the door. Folding his arms behind his back, he waited.

Morty took his hands out of his pockets to adjust his scarf, but slipped them right back in as soon as he was done. "Ah well, you weren't around. I left without really saying anything either." The only people who had known about Morty leaving were probably a couple of the Bell Tower monks and the Kimono Girls and that was because Zuki was the one who suggested he leave in the first place.

"A gender switch? Ah, that sounds like fun." He was kidding. Kind of. "I ... wasn't there for any of that, unfortunately. There was a week where some turned into animals and .. things, though. And before that there were cases of hallucinations. Something like that." He hadn't forgotten the foul-mouthed Ho-oh, nope.

Eusine laughed. "Only you would think switching genders sounds like fun." Not that there was anything wrong with the female gender, but the mystical man was rather content with his current gender thank you very much.

Tipping his head to the side, he thought about what the other had said. "Turning into animals? Now that sound intriguing. Did people turn into Pokemon too? Hm," he tapped his chin, "I wonder what kind of animal I would be..."

He made a sort of .. defensive humming noise in response. "Maaah, well if it was only for a short period of time like the other changes." Well, of course. Morty was too. But just for curiosities sake, a day or two as a lady wouldn't hurt.

"Oh, yes. There was a Drifloon, and a couple Pokemon I didn't recognize." Morty paused to think and resisted the urge to say Peacock. "I can .. kind of see you as an Espeon. Would it be terrible if I said Suicune too?"

"An Espeon? I could see that," Eusine nodded. "You could say Suicune, but I'd have to disagree. I don't think I'm as elegant or refined to be Suicune." Or at least Eusine's image of Suicune. He still denied the possibility that Suicune would act as ill bred as the current Raikou or Zapdos at the school.

"From the way you speak, I assume you did not change? Let's see..." Folding his arms, he paused to think. "A ghost type, that goes without saying. Hm... Something in the Gastly line. Or maybe a Sableye."

"Hm, you may be right." Snrk.

"I did," Morty corrected him. And lucky for Eusine, Morty had finally looked up what he had become during that week so he could give him a clear answer. "I think I would have preferred that. I was a Poe; some sort of ghost from a different world."

"Oh!" Eusine gasped. "I don't know what a Poe is, but if it's a type of ghost, then it probably suited you. Though I suppose transforming into a Pokemon would've been easier. At least that's something familiar."

"So, what was it like? I would imagine being a ghost is rather different than a living human being."

"I should show you the book I found in the library about them." It would explain them better than Morty could, he had a feeling. Poe's where.. surprisingly malicious. And trying to explain that they carry their spirits around in a lamp just sounded nuts. "It was surreal. I felt very .. detached, like I was always unsure if I really existed or not. If that makes any sense."

He paused. "It's not something I would do again."

Eusine liked books. Especially books on research and other topics that he did not previously know about. Learning new facts was an adventure in and of itself. "Sure, I'd like that."

"Hm, is that so?" He tried to envision Morty's description, but had a difficult time. "I can't say that I fully understand, but I take your word for it. It certainly sounds like an experience."
