You teach me and I'll teach you~~
Who: Pit and Isaac
What: Isaac wants to show Pit Psynery~~
Where: Somewhere close to campus, secluded and open~
When: Saturday, May 22~
Warnings:NC-17 PG
Psynergy had come up once or twice in their conversations. Isaac had promised some while ago (he couldn't remember) that he'd show Pit that which interested him. And so, Isaac made his way down to an abandoned lot one Saturday evening where he was sure no one was watching or could watch. His foot tapped a cracked slab of concrete that had grass peeking out from the crevices. The Adept was impressed by the area's poor condition and he chuckled to himself since, today, he was really early.

As arranged, Pit took a stroll through the city and eventually found the empty lot Isaac had described. Upon catching a glimpse of the Venus Adept he shifted into a run, taking long strides to reach the other boy.
Today was the day! And he was excited to see more of Isaac's fascination space-shifting powers. Picking flowers without even touching them, crushing rocks in the same manner... He knew that was only the tip of the iceberg. Aberrant glee swam through Pit's heart at the mere sight of his blond friend. "Isaac!" he called so he would notice him. "I'm he-ere!" His arm stuck out in a wave.

That familiar voice caught his attention; Isaac turned to greet his now present companion.
"I can see that!" he said as the giggles brought on by his own musings began to wear away. Isaac's smile remained though and that might have been welcoming enough.
He noted Pit and, from what he saw, it appeared that the angel was pretty excited. Good! That made the Adept's quickened heartbeat ease against his chest.
"So~" he spun, facing away from Pit and pacing away teasingly, "you requested a show. Well, I can't really give you anything..." Isaac turned again and looked the angel squarely in the eyes and, with a smile, he continued, "I can't give you anything unless you tell me what I should do."

"Well, I can only do so much, but I'll try my best," he smiled, "to do what you want to see, but I can't know until you direct me!"
The Adpet pulled on his gloves so that they fit comfortably over his hands. Another chuckle escaped his lips and he looked at Pit once more, showing he was ready to go.

Earth... dirt, rocks, plants, mud... Aha! Earthquakes! Pit's fingers flew off his face and snapped. "I've got it! Can you do earthquakes? Uh... Earthquakes that aren't too big. I don't want to cause a catastrophe, you see." He exhaled a sharp breath of a laugh. Admittedly, it would be pretty intense if he could shake the very ground beneath them.

Running a hand through his hair, Isaac scanned the area and smiled since it was, yes, quite abandoned and so he was reassured that no one would be caught by surprise and injured. Even still, he had to be cautious so as to not harm his angelic companion.
"Okay," he stepped toward the center of the lot, gently taking Pit's hand with the intent to lead him, "that's pretty easy to do. 'Quake' Psynergy is something learnt early on as a squire."
The Adept stopped and flashed Pit his blue eyes, filled with excitement: he gained a rush from being so close to using his Psynergy as he did when he was adventuring in Weyard.
"Just be sure you tell me if you're feeling threatened, okay? I don't want to do you harm."

He looked into his gloved palm for a moment, focusing his energy, and, perhaps after a second or so, his eyes wandered to the heavens as he put his hand into the air and closed his fist like he was trying to grip the very fabric of sky.
"Quake!"
His Psynergy created something like an air current and the lose hems of his clothes flew in random directions, evidence of the kind of force behind his power. And, a moment after his clothes began to ruffle, the ground began to shake violently, causing pieces of concrete from the lot to rise above one another as shifting plates do. As fast as it had begun, the quake was over, but the damage left behind, though not too serious, was enough to prove what Psynergy could do.
The Adept's cheeks were slightly flushed and his breathing had quickened as a result of adrenaline...but that discomfort was well worth it.

"Incredible!" he cried, almost in disbelief. "You really can move the Earth!" A-aah, Isaac looked so cool a couple moments ago and and and- Pit's hands moved up to press his own cheeks as he kept on grinning wildly. "Heeheeheehee...."

"Was...that enough for you, Pit?" the playful chuckle peeked through his sentence.

Lengthy tag is lengthy. ^^;
He didn't quite know what to do now. Asking Pit seemed a bit...repetitive if not annoying and so his eyes shifted back and forth from the sky to the surroundings in attempts to seek out 'inspiration' of sorts.
"Oh...I have it!" he tightened his glove again and clenched his fist once or twice to loosen the muscle.
He figured that he'd work his way up into more impressive Psynergy. The angel, having seen basic Earth Psynergy, would probably have been bored by another show of simple force.
"Okay, well..." he spotted a tree separated from those around it. It looked a deep brown with grey tones, its bark seeming to flake off with the wind's mere caress. Sure, it still looked large and resilient, but Isaac knew from first glance that it was dying, rotting from the inside. "Here, Pit! Watch that tree over there," he pointed.
The Adept held his left palm straight, parallelling the doomed tree's trunk. His hand shifted across his vision until it overlapped the plant. The blue, usually friendly eyes narrowed and glinted with ferocity, but his face held no other emotion, his mouth ruled into a straight line. He'd focused.
Then, all of time had fragmented, split apart and shot in millions of directions, for, within that half-second it took Isaac to draw his sword, he felt eons pass. And as soon as the tip of the blade escaped its sheath, time collapsed on itself, restructured and resumed ticking as if nothing happened.
Isaac darted forward. One, two, three steps and a leap onward toward the decrepit tree, his sword lagging behind.
"Ragnarok!!"
And as his sword burried itself into the old bark it became something else, shadowed by an ancient, intricate blade, one that might have been in the possession of a noble in ages past, shining of sunset golds, reds, and oranges. It came from behind, plowing into the tree, embedding itself into the bark. The force sent Isaac's scarf flying and stripped the tree bare of flakey skin.
And then it was over.
omnomnom I love me long tags
"I can't believe this!" he yelled. "You really are something, aren't you? Psynergy is so cool!" He skipped over the grass and toward Isaac and stopped somewhere nearby, his hands fanned out on either side of his body as he looked him up and down with admiration. "Though... that looked a lot like fire to me. Maybe it was the colors. I don't know. How did you do it?"
Lol well then it's a pleasure to serve you~
If it was possible to see the blush through Isaac's already scarlet cheeks, one could tell he was bashful, hesitant to accept the praise that came from Pit's lips.
He shook his head and chuckled between breaths, "Oh, I'm not 'anything', really! Alot of people back home can use this Psynergy. And, hey, I'm almost certain you have awesome powers and're just being really nice to me, saying all those things."
Taking a deep breath, his panting leveled and he looked at the angel with eyes sparkling with enthusiasm, "You ought to show me some of your powers~"

...But what could he possibly show Isaac? Nothing he had on his person could match up to the potential array of forces the Adept had up his sleeves. He may have accepted too soon, but the drive to impress Isaac was strong, and there was no way he wanted to fall so short. To be perfectly honest? His powers could not be demonstrated. A good lot of them came from special items he wielded. Wanting to save Palutena's Bow for the time he actually faced Isaac in a spar, he was a little hesitant to pull it out, but he did.
"This is Palutena's Sacred Bow. It is a magical bow that can do lots more than a regular bow." To demonstrate the first, he held it out and split the weapon in half. Suddenly, it looked less like a fancy bow and more like a pair of gleaming sickles. He turned them around in the light of day to show off their spectacular luster and twirled one with adroit fingers, away from Isaac. "See? It's not a bow any more, but a pair of swords for hand-to-hand combat! Neat, huh?" He spun them both around in a few cycles just for show.

Now, Isaac was fascinated by Pit and the angel's powers had been the subject of the Adept's questions once before. He never quite understood what Pit had meant: the closest thing to power-bestowing items in his world were things like Catch Beads or Cloak Balls, but the Adept was well aware that items mightn't have worked in the same way in Angel Land.
When Pit had introduced his weapon, Isaac's ocean eyes immediately fixated on the unusually shaped weapon. He hadn't noticed it before since, at first glance, it did look like a bow. Certainly, though, it was beautiful. But when Pit pulled the two pieces apart and began to demonstrate its range of motion, Isaac was hooked.
"Woah!" he whispered beside himself in pure amazement. "That's...really the most amazing thing I've seen..." Because no weapon in Weyard had that kind of construction: it was truly unique.
"And...and look at how you use them! You make it look so easy!" Surely Isaac knew for he had tried to spin his blade once or twice before, but it's unweildy design only resulted in numerous, painful failures.
Silently, the Adept scanned Pit's fingers. Unhindered by conversation, he could carefully watch and analyze the angel's motions. And, wow, his fingers were fantastic, so lithe and adroit. No Psynergy of any element could recreate that kind of skill.

He looked towards Isaac with his grin. "I'm glad you like it. My goddess bestowed upon me this very treasure for me to protect her and Angel Land. And, of course, humans everywhere." His grin slipped into a fuller line, becoming less lopsided. "It can do more tricks, of course. Like this!"
Leaping away from the other hero with a flap of his wings, he thrust the bow in front of him with a cry. It spun and gained extra acceleration, then lit up like a firefly at night. The glow purled around with the twirl of the blades and gained the illusion like it was actually one illumine ring of white fire. Pit's body slanted into the effort, but his face was full of dedicated concentration. He seemed to enjoy doing this.

"Oh, if only we had had that kind of weapon when we were fighting to illuminate the Lighthouses! That would have made our quest so much easier..." The Adept's mouth was parted slightly as if he were about to say something. His curious eyes scanned the weapon. In fact, there was nothing Isaac had wanted more than to swing it once or even twice if he was lucky. Certainly, though, it probably wasn't in Pit's best interest to simply hand over such an important gift and so the blond boy didn't endeavor to ask.
"Wow..." and then he remembered their prospective battle. "You have to show me all your tricks when we get the opportunity to spar! I've just got to see more of this!"

I AM SO SORRY THIS IS SO RIDICULOUSLY LATE ;A;
Oh...Isaac hadn't realized he had mentioned something that needed more explaining. Habit forced him to stutter, but he recollected himself quickly.
"Those lighthouses," he began, thinking of how to phrase his sentences. What would Kraden have said? "they're like seals that kept Alchemy locked away. At first, I fought to keep them extinguished because it was going to protect the world from Alchemy falling into the wrong hands...but," a contemplative smile stretched across his face, "in the end I fought to light them. I realized that if Alchemy wasn't released, Weyard would surely perish..."
Yeah well SO AM I
Pit seemed to understand his quick debriefing. "Ahh. That sounds rough. It must have been hard to protect the lighthouses- with both causes." Okay, so he truly couldn't judge without having seen these lighthouses, but Isaac made it seem like a lot of work. But now he had a new curiosity and a new question. "What would happen if you kept alchemy locked up?"
WELL I AM LATE AGAIN ;A; -I was at a con ^^; -
And then...
"Oh? If...Alchemy hadn't been released..." his eyes were a bit wide, as if the question were novel, which it wasn't since he had once asked the same thing and received the same answer he would soon spit out. "The world would slowly disintegrate until there was nothing left. Entire continents would erode due to the water that runs off the edge of the world."
He said it so matter-of-factly that most people might have considered it callous if not downright tactless, but he had been familiar with the answer for quite a while and so he had no problems saying them again.
"You know our world is flat, right? Well, the water that runs off of the edge rubs away at Weyard and so the land slowly shrinks. The Proxians were the closest to being completely exterminated, their land wiped away by the constantly destructive water. The Proxians were the reason why I went on my quest and changed my goals. Alchemy...Alchemy protects Weyard and prevents it from shriveling into nothing."
I'M LATE TOO and I have no excuse. I'll be better from now on.
