A Day of Wandering Around Campus

Who: Spinarak, anyone who finds her
What: Spinarak wanders around school/city

Spinarak never had the opportunity to venture around the school campus and the city, at least in her human form, before. Truthfully, even though the transformation balls gave her 24 hours of staying as a human, she was too scared to go out and suddenly transform back into her spider form while she's talking to someone. It would cause confusion for both parties and she'd freak out from the sudden change in height. The first time that happened was enough for her to get a bracelet that let her become a human at will as soon as possible. But now that she could stay as a human as long as she wanted, Spinarak decided it was finally a good time to go out and have some fun.

By fun, it was to mostly sit and watch the scenery and the people who walked by. That was all she pretty much did, except that she changed her location throughout the day. There was a part of the day where she went back to school to work on her mask.

She was glad she decided to go for a small adventure on a weekend. There were no classes held then, so she could spend most of the day outside. So she sat at a bench outside of school, watching people walk by.

So many different kinds of people...

Luigi decided he would explore the large city outside of the academy, since last time he went to the city, he was completely lost.

As Luigi was leaving the school grounds, he noticed somebody sitting on a bench. It was a student he had never seen before. Luigi had already decided that he should try to get to know all of the friendly students, so he wouldn't feel as lonely during his stay at the academy. He walked towards the figure on bench and waved, as he called out to get their attention.

"Hello!"

Spinarak blinked a few times, not expecting someone to greet her, since she was just sitting around just to watch the people go passing by. But she should reply back to be polite, right? She got out a smiling mask and covered her face with it as she gave a light bow.

"Hi."

That's weird, did that person just put on a mask? Perhaps they were very shy. Or perhaps they were very self-conscious about how their face looked.

Luigi stopped in front of the bench. "Um... Are you a student here?"

Spinarak was going to make sure she could properly give a nice smile. It was just she still needed more practice. Until then, she was planning to use an assortment of masks to show specific expressions.

She gave a nod in response, her eyes trailing after a random person passing by. She didn't recognize this green person, was he a student here too?

"Student, too?" She asked in return, looking back at Luigi.

"Yeah." Luigi held out his hand for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you, my name's Luigi."

Spinarak stared at Luigi's hand for a while, not understanding the implication for a moment. When she did realize, she stamped her fist into her palm. "Oh."

She then reached out to give a handshake.

"Spinarak."

Luigi smiled as he shook Spinarak's hand. It was almost as if this person wasn't used to handshakes. Was this person, perhaps, from a completely different area, where the people had different methods of greeting each other?

"It's nice to meet you!" Luigi stopped shaking Spinarak's hand and let his own hand drop to his side. "...If you don't mind me asking, where are you from, exactly?"

This Luigi person seemed very friendly. Spinarak was glad that she was able to meet such a nice person! She was going to make sure to talk to him more.

"From Johto." Spinarak answered, and then she tilted her head slightly. Hm, that came out sounding a little unfriendly. She needed to work on intonation...

"Ah." Luigi didn't exactly know where that was, but decided not to ask.

Even though this person's responses came out sounding a little... unfriendly, they seemed nice. What mostly mattered was that they hadn't attacked him when he approached them like some other people at the school had.

Spinarak wouldn't be caught attacking someone ever. In fact she'd probably be on the receiving side if you see her in a fight.

Hm, the conversation trailed off. She could feel the awkward atmosphere poking at her skin, but she had no clue what to say. Should she talk about the weather? How there's so many people? Hm, talking about the weather seemed like a good idea.

"Sunny, today." She said out of nowhere, looking up at the sky, only to quickly look down again. Ow. Sun in the eyes. Ow.

Oh, the weather? Luigi looked up at the sun and quickly closed his eyes as he looked back down, making the same mistake as Spinarak. Yes, the was nice, except for the fact that he was nearly blinded.

"Yeah. Um... It's..." Luigi rubbed his eyes. "...Bright... and nice.."

That was a short conversation. Luigi decided he should start another conversation, to make things less awkward. "So... How have you been liking the school, so far?"

Spinarak gazed down towards the ground, feeling a bit down that the conversation didn't go as nicely. She looked up at Luigi again when the other started talking, and gave a nod in response.

"Very nice." She replied, presenting her smiling mask again. "Lots of nice people."

"Greetings!" Olimar was out early for lunch, and happened to catch the sight of an unfamiliar student. ...He thought she was a student. And a she. Looked like one either way, but it was difficult to make assumptions these days. "Are you attending Smash Academy?" She was.... kind of cute. Aww.

Wow, what a nice-looking person! Spinarak blinked a few times as she dazedly gazed up at the person. Was he a teacher? What did he teach? Instead, she pulled out her smiling mask to respond, along with a nod.

"Hello. Yes." By 'yes,' she meant that she was a student. Hopefully this person understood what she was saying...

He understood, and was more perplexed by the girl's mask. Instead of butting in, Olimar decided it wasn't worth invading her business. "Ah, I thought so! My name is Olimar, and I'm the academy's biology teacher. Very pleased to meet you, and I hope you enjoy your stay. Do you have a name?"

Whoaaa, he can talk so much! Spinarak had somewhat of a difficult time understanding what the other was saying, but she managed to reply with a nod.

"Spinarak."

Aw, she seemed a little on the quiet side. "Nice to meet you, Spinarak. What brings you to Smash Academy?"

Well, the reason she came to Smash Academy was to get herself strong enough to explore, and also to learn a lot of different things while she was here. But that seemed so long for her to say... She should try to say it though.

"To get stronger." Spinarak replied slowly, carefully picking out the words. "To learn new things. Make friends."

Whoa, she managed to get her entire point across, plus some extra! She gave a pat to herself, mentally.

"Those sound like good reasons to me." Olimar smiled. "Smash Academy is full of friendly people, and I'm sure you'll make friends." Something about this girl was kind of endearing. Maybe because she just looked like an interesting species and seemed like a good kid. "Well, since I'm a teacher, you can always come talk to me if you need help with anything. Who knows? Maybe you could sign up for my class," he chuckled, not actually expecting her to.

Spinarak nodded in response. She would work harder to act more pleasant to talk to, like smiling properly, for instance. She just arrived here about a week ago, she had lots of time to make friends! She perked up slightly when the other offered to help, and nodded once more.

"Thank you. I will be in class." Spinarak responded with a small bow, careful as ever with the pronunciation of every word.

Thad was still confused about the whole cupid bot incident, but not in a 'who's behind this' kind- no, it was he's feelings towards Ivan. It was all too confusing! Somehow from his train of thought, he found himself wandering around outside.

After he felt tired from stomping around, he decide to look for a bench to sit.

"Can I sit here?" He pointed to the unoccupied space next to her.

Spinarak wasn't really expecting someone to talk to her so suddenly. She jerked in surprise as she heard Thad speak and blinked a few times before nodding in response. She then tilted her head, slightly curious about the other, not realizing that she was just staring at him now.

Well this was awkward. Normally people were talkative to Thad, which just what he's used to. But this.... It was just silence. It was creeping Thad out.

"H-hey, is there something on my face or something?" He asked, ignoring her piercing stare. Wasn't he the one who silently stare at people than the complete opposite?

Spinarak shook her head to answer the question and then tilted her head, wondering. Did staring at a person always mean that there were things on their faces? Human behavior was a bit confusing at times. She did understand that the other was uneasy so she decided to look away and go back to watching the people walk by. Oh wow, how much fur did that lady wear? There were lots of feathers stuck on the hat too...
