A Day of Wandering Around Campus

Who: Spinarak, anyone who finds her
What: Spinarak wanders around school/city
Where: Everywhere

Spinarak never had the opportunity to venture around the school campus and the city, at least in her human form, before. Truthfully, even though the transformation balls gave her 24 hours of staying as a human, she was too scared to go out and suddenly transform back into her spider form while she's talking to someone. It would cause confusion for both parties and she'd freak out from the sudden change in height. The first time that happened was enough for her to get a bracelet that let her become a human at will as soon as possible. But now that she could stay as a human as long as she wanted, Spinarak decided it was finally a good time to go out and have some fun.

By fun, it was to mostly sit and watch the scenery and the people who walked by. That was all she pretty much did, except that she changed her location throughout the day. There was a part of the day where she went back to school to work on her mask.

Spinarak blinked a few times, not expecting someone to greet her, since she was just sitting around just to watch the people go passing by. But she should reply back to be polite, right? She got out a smiling mask and covered her face with it as she gave a light bow.

"Hi."

That's weird, did that person just put on a mask? Perhaps they were very shy. Or perhaps they were very self-conscious about how their face looked.

Luigi stopped in front of the bench. "Um... Are you a student here?"

Spinarak was going to make sure she could properly give a nice smile. It was just she still needed more practice. Until then, she was planning to use an assortment of masks to show specific expressions.

She gave a nod in response, her eyes trailing after a random person passing by. She didn't recognize this green person, was he a student here too?

"Student, too?" She asked in return, looking back at Luigi.

"Yeah." Luigi held out his hand for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you, my name's Luigi."

Spinarak stared at Luigi's hand for a while, not understanding the implication for a moment. When she did realize, she stamped her fist into her palm. "Oh."

She then reached out to give a handshake.

"Spinarak."

Luigi smiled as he shook Spinarak's hand. It was almost as if this person wasn't used to handshakes. Was this person, perhaps, from a completely different area, where the people had different methods of greeting each other?

"It's nice to meet you!" Luigi stopped shaking Spinarak's hand and let his own hand drop to his side. "...If you don't mind me asking, where are you from, exactly?"

This Luigi person seemed very friendly. Spinarak was glad that she was able to meet such a nice person! She was going to make sure to talk to him more.

"From Johto." Spinarak answered, and then she tilted her head slightly. Hm, that came out sounding a little unfriendly. She needed to work on intonation...

"Ah." Luigi didn't exactly know where that was, but decided not to ask.

Even though this person's responses came out sounding a little... unfriendly, they seemed nice. What mostly mattered was that they hadn't attacked him when he approached them like some other people at the school had.

Spinarak wouldn't be caught attacking someone ever. In fact she'd probably be on the receiving side if you see her in a fight.

Hm, the conversation trailed off. She could feel the awkward atmosphere poking at her skin, but she had no clue what to say. Should she talk about the weather? How there's so many people? Hm, talking about the weather seemed like a good idea.

"Sunny, today." She said out of nowhere, looking up at the sky, only to quickly look down again. Ow. Sun in the eyes. Ow.

Oh, the weather? Luigi looked up at the sun and quickly closed his eyes as he looked back down, making the same mistake as Spinarak. Yes, the was nice, except for the fact that he was nearly blinded.

"Yeah. Um... It's..." Luigi rubbed his eyes. "...Bright... and nice.."

That was a short conversation. Luigi decided he should start another conversation, to make things less awkward. "So... How have you been liking the school, so far?"

Spinarak gazed down towards the ground, feeling a bit down that the conversation didn't go as nicely. She looked up at Luigi again when the other started talking, and gave a nod in response.

"Very nice." She replied, presenting her smiling mask again. "Lots of nice people."

There was that happy mask again. Luigi wondered if this person was capable of making facial expressions.

"Oh, that's good!" Luigi looked around, trying to think of a way to make the conversation longer. "Yeah... There are some mean people here, but most of the people here are nice."

Sorry Luigi, Spinarak needed more work with her expressions on her actual face. It was probably better alternative with the mask though; otherwise she'd try to show her expressions with her back.

She blinked a few times, starting to feel scared. There were mean people? Maybe she should know who they are to avoid talking to them. She didn't want to be picked on by scary people! Of course, her fear didn't show up on her face.

"Mean people?" She tilted her head to the side, wondering.

"Yeah... You might want to avoid Bowser, Wendy, Mr. Chase, King Boo..." Luigi trailed off as he tried to remember any more villains he had met so far. "...And I think that's all..."

Waah so many people...! Hopefully she wouldn't end up meeting these people... She brough up a mask with a sad face.

"Mean people are scary..."

And then she got a happy face. "But you are nice."

Yeay, she was able to say how she felt! It would be really nice if this person was willing to become friends with her...

"Oh! Thank you! You're really nice, too!" Luigi smiled. He had been getting to know more and more people at this school lately, which made him feel not as scared and lonely at this new place. Perhaps, Luigi thought, if he made enough friends, he would be able to ignore all of the mean people staying at the school.

Aww, he thought she was nice! She really wished she could smile nicely instead of accidentally using Scary Face... Instead she brought up her smiling mask.

"Thank you." She really needed to practice her smiling...

"Sorry... can't smile nice..." She lowered her mask and gazed down towards the ground, feeling a little sad in the inside.

"It's okay! You're really nice, and I'm sure you would smile a lot if you could!"

Perhaps this person could learn how to smile? Maybe Luigi could try to teach her. Or at least give her some tips. "Maybe, if you get to know more of the nice people here, you would feel more happy and welcome, and smiling would just come naturally. That's what helps me smile!"

Spinarak carefully listened to what Luigi said. That was a really good possibility! She took note of it and nodded in response, feeling a bit happier than before.

"Having lots of friends...sound really nice."

"Yeah!" Luigi smiled as he waved good-bye to Spinarak. "Well, it was nice meeting you, good luck on meeting more people here!" Luigi walked away towards the city after glancing back at Spinarak.
