Racing Club - Luigi Circuit!
Who: Wave and the Racing Club
What: Racing!
Where: Luigi Circuit!
When: Backdated to Saturday the 28th
Warnings: R for ROAD RAGE
Everything was ready. The track was booked, everyone had arrived, and they were finally prepared to go after all these weeks. Luigi Circuit. In her research of racetrack possibilities, this one stood out in her mind as a perfect place to get them started. She knew a lot of race courses already, but most of them were geared towards Extreme Gear riding. Normal vehicles wouldn't get very far at all, and besides, they were for pros. But this seemed like a nice and simple spot so that even the inexperienced racers could get a chance to shine. Nice and picturesque spot in the Mushroom Kingdom, that she was able to secure by asking Daisy for a favour, who in turn called up Peach and arranged the meeting spot.
With everyone there, Wave greeted them. "All right, welcome to our first actual race! We've got the track here all day, so what we're going to do first is some practice laps, just to get familiar with the course and let you all try out your vehicles on the road. Then when everyone's ready we'll have a three lap race around the track. We'll get started in just a moment, but first, a word from our club advisor, Professor Falcon!"

Okay, words.
Falcon removed himself from his hanging-back-from-the-group location and cleared his throat. It was a cute track. Cute little go-karts. Certainly nothing like the F-Zero circuit. "I...uh. Just let me know if you guys need any help or have any questions." That's what he was here for.

The Fire Stingray appeared and crashed into a tree. Goroh stepped out and did ten back flips, before standing right next to his rival and fellow teacher.
"HEY HOW ABOUT A LITTLE "
no subject
"Goroh, this is a go-kart track."
no subject
And suddenly, there was a go-kart Fire Stingray.

"Where the hell did that come from?"

Knuckles was obviously quite excited.

On one hand, this was a challenge. If he refused to race, Goroh would never let him live it down, and he'd embarrass himself in front of the students, too. His rival had Driver's Ed, Falcon was not going to let him take Racing Club away from him. Even if all he really did was answer questions and tell stories.
On the other, it was go-karts. "I am not racing you in a go-kart."

"Are blue shells allowed?"

beggingbegging, he managed to obtain the cashola. Aw yeah.So here he was in a pretty standard red, orange, and white kart. Woo!

Sure, he'd wanted to race his real car, but if they were going with Go-Karts, then Go-Karts it was, and he would race the heart and soul out of his little Go-Kart.

Go kart race of the CENTURY! Falcon vs. Goroh!
Re: Go kart race of the CENTURY! Falcon vs. Goroh!
"EAT MY DUST, !"
Re: Go kart race of the CENTURY! Falcon vs. Goroh!
He had been pressing A repeatedly through the whole countdown, you see.It was almost anticlimactic how slow the go-karts were. He sighed heavily and put it in gear, shooting forward and pulling up alongside his rival. He wasn't sure how many hits these things could take, but he'd never know if he didn't try. Banking hard, he slammed his kart into Goroh's as they rounded the first turn.
Re: Go kart race of the CENTURY! Falcon vs. Goroh!
"WHAT?"
Suddenly there were three red shells hovering around his kart.
"UHHH..."
Re: Go kart race of the CENTURY! Falcon vs. Goroh!
It felt like it was made of nothing, but all of a sudden, Falcon had shells hovering around his kart too. Not red like Goroh's though. Green.
"The hell are these?"
no subject
"Well, this is interesting."
He slammed into another floating box and...
Speed Mushroom. Remaining : 3. Unusable until Red Paratroopa shells have been depleted.
"This is hella crazy."
no subject
He hoped, anyway.
Falcon veered and screeched around a turn, figuring that if the rainbow blocks were going to be right there in the middle of the road, he might as well make use of them.
...A little...bomb? With feet? Well then.

Suddenly, whatever he had done had caused the kart to let out a steam of bluish fire and he inched right next to Falcon. With the students much father away, he screamed over the loud motors.
"You're going down!"
