A Holidaian hick's Thanksgiving!
Who: Surge, Goose, super special guest stars in Goose's parents.
What: Thanksgiving at the parents' house. Need I say more?
Where: Holiday Island
When: Backdated to yesterday, November 26th, Thanksgiving Day.
Warnings: Swearing. That's really it. :x
6:00 PM. It felt like it was about time to go to Holiday for that night-time dinner.
Goose and his boyfriend had both planned a Thanksgiving with the pilot's parents tomooch off of the food see them again. And to mooch off of the food, of course, you couldn't forget that. Honestly, he was pretty excited about it, mostly for the fact that he'd be in his previous Holiday Island again. He loved FDC, but he will never deny that he constantly missed his childhood home.
Thus, he put a good chunk of food and water down for Hettie (since they were gonna be there a bit late, he thought that they might need to spend the night), got a few things, and then went outside to the 'copter. All he left for Surge was a sticky note on the front door that said this: 'outside go'.
Sitting out in his 'copter, more than ready to go, was a certain Goosey who was beaming from ear-to-ear like a little kid. Oh my.

mooching off of Goose's mother's foodmooching off of Goose's mother's food, but still. The pilot was acting almost like a kid at a candy store."Geez, could you be any more excited to be goin' home?" Surge chuckled as he approached the other man. Folding his arms, he replied, "Ready to go when you are."

He revved up the 'copter and took off before speaking again.
"Hey, I bet ya probably felt that way when we went to Vermilion!" That's what he assumed, at least.
no subject
The lieutenant smirked, "Yeah, I guess so. Though I'd like to think I don't get as excited as this."
"So," he commented, "you know what kind of food your mom is makin' yet? All the usual Thanksgivin' dishes, I would hope. But anything special I might wanna know ahead of time? Just so I make sure you don't eat it all before I can try it."
no subject
"Eh? Oh, uh," Goose clicked his tongue, trying to remember. "Weeeeell, she's cookin' a turkey, o' course! And, uh, she's makin' pie, green bean casserole, some... potato dish... some other crap, I dunno, she didn't tell me everythin'!"
no subject
"Well, I guess it doesn't matter," he shook his head. "Anything your mom makes is delicious. Make sure to ask for some leftovers before we leave."

Reckless little Goose was being a bit faster in his 'copter than usual out of being excited. They reached Holiday in no time flat, in around 45 minutes instead of the usual hour. They landed Sharky at the flight club. Goose knew that his flight club buds could take care of 'her' while they were at his parents' place.
"Hold on," He spoke, going inside for a moment to talk to his instructor about the 'copter. He took about 10 minutes before he came back out.
"Sharky's taken care of," He grinned. "Ready to head off?" The village was a very short walk from here. Hell, it was just a very little ways away from the flight club.
no subject
He quirked an eyebrow when Goose went inside to talk with someone, but he shrugged it off. The pilot was probably just talking to one of his friends or making sure the 'copter was alright. Surge was proven correct when Goose returned to his side.
"You bet. Let's go."
no subject
Goose grinned to Surge, as if saying 'okay let's prepare for my dad's inevitable whining', and then knocked. The door opened.
It wasn't Goose's mom, but rather, his dad. Oh geez. Now, what did he say to greet them? "Oh yeh, the Matt. The welcome Matt, I'll step on yeh like a welcome mat ya'd little..." He grumbled as he stepped away, plopped into his rocking chair, and leaned back to doze off.
Well, that was interesting. "Oh, the hell," Goose uttered, which stirred attention from his mother, who was previously cooking in the kitchen. Said woman immediately brightened up (if she could any further than she already had) and, of course, enveloped the two in a huge, crushing hug.
"My darlings!~" Mrs. Wauna was pretty much treating Surge like a son already. Geez. Meanwhile, Goose coughed a little. Hey, anyone would if their mother just came and hugged them so tight that it hurt.
"'Kay, momma, we get iiit."
no subject
But when Mrs. Wauna joined the group, the lieutenant couldn't help but sport a wide grin. Mostly because the woman embarrassed Goose. But also because he liked the positive attention that she lavished onto the pair. "It's good to see you too, ma'am," Surge chuckled. "How've you been?"

Trying to recall the recipe, he replied, "So we just pour everything into the pan and then bake it, right? Sounds easy enough."
no subject
"Yep!" Goose replied, stepping over to the pan and pouring the mixture inside. "Bakin' it for a bit, then addin' more onions on the top. Easy! Hey momma!" He called over to Mrs. Wauna. "The turkey's ready yet?"
"Oh, yes!" She just took it out and was pouring the pan's juices all over the top of it to moisten it further. It looked very nice! She really was a hell of a cook. "Bring the casserole, Joshie, dear~"
Ahhhh hell, that. "Yeah, yeah," He rolled his eyes and increased the temperature of the oven a little. Once it was ready for the casserole, he stuck it in. By then, the potatoes were done cooking. Mmm, classic buttery mashed potatoes. Delicious!
"So Matt, up for makin' this pie with us?"
Flour times were imminent.no subject
What were they doing again? Ah yes, pie. Right. "Sure, no problem." He stood at the ready, not quite sure what do to first. "So, uh... let's start."
no subject
He'd let Surge do that while he looked at the bag of flour next to him. Hmmm.
A devious smirk spread across his face as he held the bag in his hand. Nope, the war wasn't over! "Hehe."
no subject
He knew that smirk. Oh Surge knew that smirk pretty damn well by now. That smirk never meant anything good. To say he was suspicious was an understatement. "... What?"
no subject
Poof! Hey Surge, Goose tossed a very tiny amount of flour (not enough to get into his eyes or irritate) towards your cheek. Whether it hit or not, he didn't know. It very well could have missed.
It didn't stop him from laughing, though.
no subject
It. Was. On.
A grin grew upon the lieutenant's lips. "Oh ho. I see how it's going to be. You're trying to make a mess in your mom's kitchen. Really, you should know better by now. Allow me to fight on your mother's beneath and for the sake of a clean kitchen."
Grabbing a little bit of flour, Surge flicked it at the other man.
no subject
By now, his cheeks were probably involuntarily red from laughing. He was having a hell of a good time for something as tiny and usually boring as cooking.

"Oh. Oh. I see."
With a wide grin, the lieutenant scooped up the pillow and threw it back. He then rushed towards the bed in an attempt to pick up another pillow.

goosedog and acted a bit sneaky worming in this pillow fight, but he would at least have them both be at equal advantage."Now this'll be more fun than a flour fight."
He then went to try to smack him with the pillow.
no subject
"At least it'll be less messy," he chuckled. Smacking Goose again, he moved closer to the pilot. Being a sneaky sneak, he reached out and poked the other in his side.

He needed to get back at him for this. Thus, he took him by the shoulders and tried to pull him down next to him. Whether or not it was successful, he didn't care. His hands went straight for his
absstomach and right in for the revenge tickling.no subject
Surge had been so busy with his tickle attack that he had not noticed Goose's retaliation. So when the pilot tried to pull him down, the lieutenant fell over next to the other. Unfortunately for Goose, the older man was not ticklish at all. "Yeah, good luck with that," he snorted.
no subject
He then took advantage and took back one of the pillows, threw it for his boyfriend, and then leapt up with a laugh. Yeah, that might just be enough for one night, though he wouldn't oppose to one last retaliation from Surge.
