What is love? Baby don't flirt me, don't flirt me no more

Who: Lash and You (OPEN LOG TIME!)
What: Lash tries to flirt like Blacky taught her, and horrible things happen.
Where: All over campus on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
When: Whenever you want, bby
Warnings: Horrible flirting.
Suggested Music: This song.

Well, she told herself she would do it. Now it was only a question of who would Lash come upon first. Deep breaths, calming voice, being in control. She could do that easily. The hardest part was how the other person would react, and keeping her short fuse in check.

It was a recipe for disaster, that was for certain.

((OOC - Much like an open office log, you tell me what date, time and where your character is. I will have Lash moving all around the school looking for victims and she has three days off from work, so anywhere from 6am to midnight is fine.

Yes, girls can come too.

Both log and action posts are allowed! Go with what you feel like doing, I will reply accordingly. Have fun, enjoy both of our characters making each other uncomfortable.))

GOOD

"Ah. Greeting, Raiden!" He cheerfully waved back. It was always so nice to greet people in the halls, especially those he would like to get to know better. Olimar could vaguely recall how he first met the custodian, and how that was probably one of the better moments of that night. "How has this week been treating you?"

FINE

"Ah, alright." This particular week had been less stressful and less eventful than previous weeks which was perfectly fine with Raiden. And that was about to change if Lash had anything to do with it.

"Oh, actually, I wanted to ask you something." The janitor rummaged around one of his numerous pockets and pulled out a strange looking device (http://i45.tinypic.com/o9ib5u.png) which he handed out to Olimar to show. "Remember all those leaf piles Flint was working on the other week?" Raiden had contributed minorly to the raking endeavor but in his raking maybe also procrastinating a little to said endeavor the blonde discovered the antique gaming device. "I found this. I'd probably keep it for myself but I don't know if you know if it might belong to one of your students or your girls something. I didn't see a name on it."

Urk. Lash wanted something. Raiden was feeling an overwhelming urge to obey despite the fact Olimar certainly seemed fascinated with it. STUPID OATH FINE PRINT. Maybe he knew someone it belonged to after all? It was kind of out of Raiden's hands at this point, however.

"It's just an old handheld, Lash." He tried to deflect it as best he could.

"E-excuse me," Olimar repeated himself. He really wanted to see the handheld up close. "That device piques my interest, I believe I've seen it before. Could I perhaps get a closer examination of it?" He stilled gazed at the Game & Watch with curiosity and astonishment. He stopped for a moment to glacne back up at Raiden. "Handheld, you say?"

"Yeah, a handheld. A DREAM video game system." Raiden explained to Olimar, slightly amazed Lash didn't know about it. Then again it was pretty retro.

"I don't know if it works, I haven't tried putting any fresh batteries in. It runs on those tiny little button cell ones."

"I don't know, the little ones." He shrugged and gestured by pinching his fingers in the air.

"You've seen it before Olimar? Is it yours?"

[identity profile] leadthemalong.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Olimar eagerly took the handheld out of Lash's hands. It was rather amusing; his face was beaming like that of a child who was just handed a new toy. Reading the words inscribed on the handheld, as well as examining the buttons and structure of the game, it couldn't have been anymore obvious that it was same DREAM ARCHITECT device he found in the past. Game & Watch... The Hocotatian could not read those words before. Damn English.

"Video game? ...This is a video game?" He tried pressing the buttons and seeing if it would turn on. "I found one of these before! It was broken, but I remember wanting it to work. How old is this device? I must know! This really is the Dream Architect!" Realizing that Raiden would have NO idea what he was talking about, he made sure to clarify some more. "When I came to this planet in the past, I came across a broken replica of this. I did not know what it was at the time."

"That was... the name our ship pitched to us. Having no knowledge of the object, I went along with it."

Why was she looking at him like that?

"Alright." He nodded as Lash ran for batteries, hoping she wouldn't be too long as he was curious to see if the old thing worked.

"You came here to this planet before? Was it like a Planet of the Apes sort of thing?"

[identity profile] leadthemalong.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Planet of the what?" Olimar clearly did not get the reference. Instead, it went over his head as he tried his best to explain his situation as quickly as possible. "I crash landed on this planet a few years ago. My people had no knowledge of Earth, and I thought I was on a deserted planet. After I managed to escape and head back, we explored the planet more due to my old employer's apparent dept. We collected items that were quite strange. Some large, some smaller. One of the items we found was an old... Game... and Watch, is it?"

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oh so it... kind of was and kind of wasn't. Okay, it wasn't really like Planet of the Apes but it was still an interesting tidbit of information. That kind of made Olimar some kind of... space alien. And he called the Game & Watch a... Dream Architect?

Wow.

It didn't take more than a second for Raiden to put that though of his mind, easily reminded of all the other strange, out-of-this-world inhabitants that frequented this school. He should have been used to it by now anyway!

"So your boss had you scavenger hunt stuff to make the money back, huh?" The blonde leaned over and inspected the game again. "I don't know how much you'd get for a Game and Watch but it's pretty old. I wonder if it'll work?"

[identity profile] leadthemalong.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, Raiden. Olimar is an alien. If you ever saw a tiny near-hairless creature with a large nose in the halls, that was also him.

"Our people had never seen this planet before. Most of our findings were sold back to Hocotate as rare, alien architects." Raiden seemed rather intrigued with the new knowledge he wasn't from this planet. "Oh, did you think I was a human? Ah, I could understand that. This is just a form I use for convenience. Hocotatians look much different," explained Olimar, using his hand to level around the height he would normally be.

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
The blonde didn't seem bothered by the minor revelation regardless, more like curious since his only other experience with space aliens and other planets happened to be in fictional movies. Badly done ones, at that.

"Well I've seen the other you around before in the hallways." Raiden also mimicked the height gesture with his hand just to reassure he was on the same page with the other faculty member. And he also realized he worded that kind of awkwardly, since the other Olimar was really the same Olimar. "Er, you you. I guess I never stopped and thought to put two and two together since I first met you this way."

"Yes, I remember, Raiden," the captain responded, recalling that Flint did work on leaf piles. Olimar stared at the handheld for a moment, unsure how to react. Whether or not it belonged to someone was uncertain, but it looked so strangely familiar. It looked like an architect he came across during his journey. The buttons and writing on it were exact. Olimar remained fascinated with it. "Excuse me, uh, c-could I see that for a moment?"

He called the boring nights in space during his 2nd expedition of Earth. The device looked so interesting, but the one he found was broken. "...Spectacular..." The odds of coming across ANOTHER one seemed IMPOSSIBLE. Even if a lot of his findings were proven to be mundane household objects.
