What is love? Baby don't flirt me, don't flirt me no more

Who: Lash and You (OPEN LOG TIME!)
What: Lash tries to flirt like Blacky taught her, and horrible things happen.
Where: All over campus on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
When: Whenever you want, bby
Warnings: Horrible flirting.
Suggested Music: This song.

Well, she told herself she would do it. Now it was only a question of who would Lash come upon first. Deep breaths, calming voice, being in control. She could do that easily. The hardest part was how the other person would react, and keeping her short fuse in check.

It was a recipe for disaster, that was for certain.

((OOC - Much like an open office log, you tell me what date, time and where your character is. I will have Lash moving all around the school looking for victims and she has three days off from work, so anywhere from 6am to midnight is fine.

Yes, girls can come too.

Both log and action posts are allowed! Go with what you feel like doing, I will reply accordingly. Have fun, enjoy both of our characters making each other uncomfortable.))

"I don't know, the little ones." He shrugged and gestured by pinching his fingers in the air.

"You've seen it before Olimar? Is it yours?"

Olimar eagerly took the handheld out of Lash's hands. It was rather amusing; his face was beaming like that of a child who was just handed a new toy. Reading the words inscribed on the handheld, as well as examining the buttons and structure of the game, it couldn't have been anymore obvious that it was same DREAM ARCHITECT device he found in the past. Game & Watch... The Hocotatian could not read those words before. Damn English.

"Video game? ...This is a video game?" He tried pressing the buttons and seeing if it would turn on. "I found one of these before! It was broken, but I remember wanting it to work. How old is this device? I must know! This really is the Dream Architect!" Realizing that Raiden would have NO idea what he was talking about, he made sure to clarify some more. "When I came to this planet in the past, I came across a broken replica of this. I did not know what it was at the time."

"That was... the name our ship pitched to us. Having no knowledge of the object, I went along with it."

Why was she looking at him like that?

"Alright." He nodded as Lash ran for batteries, hoping she wouldn't be too long as he was curious to see if the old thing worked.

"You came here to this planet before? Was it like a Planet of the Apes sort of thing?"

[identity profile] leadthemalong.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Planet of the what?" Olimar clearly did not get the reference. Instead, it went over his head as he tried his best to explain his situation as quickly as possible. "I crash landed on this planet a few years ago. My people had no knowledge of Earth, and I thought I was on a deserted planet. After I managed to escape and head back, we explored the planet more due to my old employer's apparent dept. We collected items that were quite strange. Some large, some smaller. One of the items we found was an old... Game... and Watch, is it?"

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oh so it... kind of was and kind of wasn't. Okay, it wasn't really like Planet of the Apes but it was still an interesting tidbit of information. That kind of made Olimar some kind of... space alien. And he called the Game & Watch a... Dream Architect?

Wow.

It didn't take more than a second for Raiden to put that though of his mind, easily reminded of all the other strange, out-of-this-world inhabitants that frequented this school. He should have been used to it by now anyway!

"So your boss had you scavenger hunt stuff to make the money back, huh?" The blonde leaned over and inspected the game again. "I don't know how much you'd get for a Game and Watch but it's pretty old. I wonder if it'll work?"

[identity profile] leadthemalong.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, Raiden. Olimar is an alien. If you ever saw a tiny near-hairless creature with a large nose in the halls, that was also him.

"Our people had never seen this planet before. Most of our findings were sold back to Hocotate as rare, alien architects." Raiden seemed rather intrigued with the new knowledge he wasn't from this planet. "Oh, did you think I was a human? Ah, I could understand that. This is just a form I use for convenience. Hocotatians look much different," explained Olimar, using his hand to level around the height he would normally be.

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2009-11-21 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
The blonde didn't seem bothered by the minor revelation regardless, more like curious since his only other experience with space aliens and other planets happened to be in fictional movies. Badly done ones, at that.

"Well I've seen the other you around before in the hallways." Raiden also mimicked the height gesture with his hand just to reassure he was on the same page with the other faculty member. And he also realized he worded that kind of awkwardly, since the other Olimar was really the same Olimar. "Er, you you. I guess I never stopped and thought to put two and two together since I first met you this way."

That was pretty quick. Raiden did as was instructed, not really having much of a choice anyway as the little box was already set in his hands. "Okay."

Yeah, that sounded pretty inconvenient. Maybe she'd get it working real soon and Olimar could become an addict see what it was all about, finally.

"Thank you so much, Lash!" The Game & Watch worked! Olimar continued to look intrigued by it. "Could I see it?"

Well. Raiden figured he could safely leave the device in Olimar's hands at this point--the blonde had no use for it really, he preferred games with a little more... action.

He gave Olimar a quick pat on the shoulder. "It's all yours buddy."

Mun: "It's like watching my friend's dad try to play a video game."

[identity profile] leadthemalong.livejournal.com 2009-11-28 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
The little game started up, but it took the captain far too long to figure out what was going on. The little guy falling from the building landed to his death. For a moment, Olimar practically ignored the other two as he concentrated on how to work this strange device. He didn't play video games, but the controls and concept looked simple enough for a clueless middle aged man to figure out on his own. After all, there was only TWO BUTTONS. He cautiously tried to move around the little figures on the bottom. Hey, he saved the falling person, but then came another one! And another one! And another! Damn, after a steady period he slipped up. Oh well, better try again.

Similarly, almost comically Raiden mirrored Lash and was peering over Olimar's other shoulder. "Hey give him a chance, it's his first time playing it, right?"

An afterthought, which the blonde mumbled under his breath mostly to himself. "Well, not broken anyway."
