Hey, it's phys ed class! Or gym class. Or whatever you want to call it. This is most definitely not the first class! It's been going on behind the scenes, totally. Students have introduced themselves and there have totally been some nice normal classes with stretches and jogs and strict exercises and all that. Nothing too noteworthy besides the fact that the coaches do not seem to be on the best of terms.

Today, it's time to take things up a notch.

When students meet in the stadium, Hayato can be found wearing a jacket that might be a little thicker than necessary for this time of year. He did make some kind of comment last week about how everyone should bring one, but who knows who took that seriously. He's going over the handbook for the stadium settings in the time before class truly begins.

HAHAHA being too slow?! What the hell kind of talk was that? Sonic tosses one end of the rope to Vivian, and ties the other around his waist.

"Don't worry! This'll be a piece of cake!"

THE MAGIC WORDS.

"Yes! Cake!" Vivian mimicked Sonic in voice and action, tying the rope 'round her waist good and tight. She looked up at the mountain with a 'woah' kind of expression, but she didn't really look afraid of it. She was going to take Sonic's lead on this but was gripping the rope a little too tight with all that unnatural strength.

"Ready for cake." Christ.

Wow, this girl really likes cake... He goes into a ready-crouch, green eyes trained on the top of that mountain array.

"Okay, if you need my help, just call, okay? Readyyyyy? GO!"

He's not going to sprint--he's going to have to slow up for this, and he DOESN'T LIKE THAT but he can do it. He takes off running and springs up to grab a ledge, dangling a hand down for her.

Vivian is by no means as fast as Sonic, but she's able to keep up just enough with him at this reduced speed. She took as strong a leap as she could manage and gripped his hand tightly. Probably, uh, too tightly. She was just so excited!

OW OW OW WOW JEEZ WHAT A GRIP. He grimaces quietly and heaves, pulling her up to the ledge with a surprising amount of strength, for something so small and fuzzy. Then he pulls himself up and shakes out his left hand.

"Don't know your own strength, huh?"

Watching his hand, she realized she must have hurt him and quickly sighs.

"My fault. I'm sorry," she murmured, patting his hand gently with her fingertips before looking upward. "It's, uhm..." High? Tall? "Forever." Yeah.

"It's okay! Don't worry about it, we've gotta keep going!" Sonic says, pointing up to the FOREVER she was talking about. He'll ask about it later. For now, he takes off up the ramp they'd just crawled upon.

However, at the top stands a polar bear that looks like he's not going to take shit from either of them.

"Let's trip him up! You go left, I'll go right!" Sonic calls to her, hefting the rope that's tied between them.

"Keep going... Okay!" She nodded, smiled brightly and looked ahead.

She held up both her hands to remind herself what was left and right and then quickly followed his orders. Gripping the rope and looking upon the bear, she didn't quite put 2 and 2 together for what was about to happen.

He could tell from her stare that she didn't quite pick up what he was putting down, so Sonic had to change strategy and use her as an anchor.

"Just hold on real tight, okay?"

He zips ahead and around the bear, yanking really hard once he's behind it. The rope swipes at its ankles just as it jumps. It hits the ground, and Sonic is bounced into the air like a beach ball on a trampoline after a fat guy decides to dive onto it from the roof.

"Okay." If there was one thing she could do besides accurately shoot a target right between the eyes, it was hold something super tight. Seemingly.

Vivian watches Sonic move, impressed with his speed and wondering if all blue things could do that. How interesting! She yelps in surprise as the bear eat the floor and Sonic goes up high. She's got the rope clutched tightly in one hand to follow his instructions but the other is covering her mouth from gasping.

She's trying to go for the bear. "Oh no...!"

In midair, Sonic regains his orientation and latches onto an upper platform. When he glances down to his partner and the attempt she's making for revenge on a polar bear three times her size, he gapes and makes a split-second decision. Remember that rope she was holding onto?

YANK! Up you go, Vivian!

"Woooah!"

And up she certainly went. As she got to Sonic's platform, she quickly resituated her form and managed to land on her feet. It was a ~~Christmas but not Christmas in relation to this log jfc~~ miracle.

She dipped forward a tad bit and plopped both her hands on Sonic's head so she wouldn't fall.

"Thank you... But is he okay?" Vivian tried to peek down at the bear.

By the time she gets to him, Sonic has clamored up the ledge. His ears and quills squish a little when she leans on him, but he doesn't protest. Not about THAT, anyway.

"You're worried about the bear?!"

Seriously. She's worried about the bear!

"Take my word for it, he'll be fine! C'mon! We've gotta keep climbing!"
