Who: Kirby, Kanji, Daisy, Mary, featuring special NPC guest stars Magolor and Landia!
What: With his ship repaired, Magolor takes Kirby and friends on a trip to his home dimension...
Where: Halcandra
When: Weird time shit is happening, I don't fucking know. Go away.
---
When Kirby awakened, he found himself just outside the completed Lor Starcutter, still deep in the ditch created from where it had initially crashed. The world around was bright and happy as it always was. Yet something felt amiss...
Had he fallen asleep? Kirby couldn't remember. He was doing something... somewhere. Was it just part of a dream he was having? What a strange dream, then! But now the puff could get back to adventuring with his friends. And of course, they had to be nearby, so he turned to where his three companions, Waddle Dee, Meta Knight and King Dedede should have been.
But the people he saw were decidedly not them.

Okay, maybe it was part of the TV world. The place seemed strange enough, like something that would be there. But the TV world didn't look like a horrid wasteland anymore, he thought. Unless Teddie was doing a bad job looking over it, which wouldn't surprise him in the slightest.
But what did surprise Kanji was that his normally tiny puffball roommate was no longer tiny. He was now a giant puffball who looked like he could engulf him any second.
"Wh-whoa!" he cried, scrambling backwards, "When did you get so huge?!"

"What? Where... is this?"
It wasn't the school, and it definitely wasn't the gallery. Where else was there?
That pink thing was super cute though. If only it was a more cuddle-able size.

But what kind of fresh hell was this?
"Guh... What happened? Where are we?" She looked over. "...Kirby, how did you get so big?"
no subject
"Kanji, poyo? You got small!" The puff then distracted himself with the ladyfriends. "This is Dream Land, poyo... Who are you?"
no subject
"I'm Mary."
no subject
"How the hell did we get small? And why are we here?"
Kanji wanted answers, damn it. At least he had a good-looking woman here with him, although there was some bratty little girl there too. But damn... his roommate. Was this Kirby's doing? Did Kirby shrink them all? Kanji would have to remind himself to punt that little puffball when he got back to his normal size again.

There. That was straightened out now. Now to size up the situation, which was:
1. King Dedede, Waddle Dee, and Meta Knight were nowhere to be seen.
2. Kanji, Mary and Daisy seem to have replaced them.
3. Problems are always solvable with adventure.
Well... Magolor had said that he'd take Kirby and friends to visit Halcandra, right? But he didn't put a limit on the number of friends... But would his original traveling companions feel left out if he went without them? Wait, maybe they could come back later. Yeah, that worked!
Of course, to everyone else, it looked like Kirby stared into space for a minute before blinking, the eager look returning to his face.
"Um, a friend wanted to take me and some of my other friends on a trip to see his world since we helped put his ship back together... " The puff gestured to the ship behind him. "But since they're not here, poyo, would you all like to come with me? Maybe we'll find out what's going on, poyo!"

Mary's smile faltered a bit. The last time she had been invited to go on a journey with someone she wanted to call a friend hadn't been that long ago, and it ended with her all alone - albeit at a school full of other people, but the one she wanted to see most was nowhere to be found. Was it any different if this was all just a dream, and she'd wake up in the school all over again?
...Even if this was just some dream land, there was no point in not finding out where that ship would take her. If she didn't like it, she would just wake up, right? She was pretty sure that was how dreams worked, anyway.
"...Yes! I want to go! We'll all have fun together, right?"

If going on this adventure would get him back to his normal size and out of this crazy house, then fine, he would go along with it. Besides, he could kick some serious ass.
"Yeah, fine. As long as I can get back to my normal height," he huffed.

As Team Awesome (as I will henceforth call them) enters the ship, they'd be greeted by Magolor, a strange character around Kirby's height. He gave a brief exposition, and then they were taking off!
Something went wrong as they approached Halcandra. The Lor started shaking violently, as if bombarded by something...

"There's a giant four-headed dragon shooting fireballs at us!!"
She was immediately starting to regret her decision to join this adventure.

Truth be told, Mary was less concerned about the 'dragon' part and infinitely more worried about the 'fire' part. Were they all going to burn and die? Was she even as flammable as she used to be? Wake up, wake up, wake up!
But she was still here. She clutched at Daisy's dress, as though she could do something just because she was the one to see the dragon first.
"No! No, I don't want to die!"

Why was there a giant dragon trying to kill them?! No, it wasn't something Kanji couldn't handle, although... could he? He hadn't used his Persona outside of the Midnight Channel, and was not sure if it would work in this setting. Besides, he was the height of a toothpick now. That meant the dragon was probably like a foot tall and could probably be squashed if Kanji was his normal height.
Great, his companions didn't seem to be helpful either. They were screaming or something, afraid for their lives. Kanji was going to be a man and not flip out.
"Come on, you sissies! We can take this thing on!"
Actually, he wasn't sure about that, but still.
