It wasn't terribly cold today, and Flint had finished shoveling snow quicker than he expected to, so he sitting at the fountain throwing a ball for Boney to fetch. Boney was having a great time dashing after the ball in the snow. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon for Flint. Surely nothing weird was going to happen.

Absolutely nothing weird was going on. Someone else had decided it was time to take their dog for a walk. And when that dog saw a ball flying towards it, it ran for it to catch it, having totally missed Boney coming after it. Nothing weird at all.

Well, except for the other dog being made of metal.

"Rush! That's not your ball!" Rock called after him.

Boney stopped short as the other dog ran past him to catch the ball. Oh boy! Oh boy! A FRIEND. His tail started wagging again and he gave chase.

Meanwhile, Flint didn't know what to make of what he was witnessing right now.

Rush made a dash for the ball, snatching it up as soon as he got close. When Boney ran up, Rush tossed the ball in the air, barking for the other dog. Oh boy! A FRIEND.

Rock finally caught up with them, hands on his knees. "Ah... Sorry about that," he apologized to Flint. "Rush gets pretty excited!"
