FAMILY PICNIC
Who: Vivian, Ishimaru, Eggman
What: FAMILY PICNIC YO
When: October 23rd
Where: Nice little patch of grass on campus somewhere
Warnings: the odd couple and their robot daughter
Okay, but Vivian really wanted to have a nice picnic before it got too cold again. Even with the little nips of frost coming from all angles, this little robot gone human remained steadfast in her goal, arranging the blankets and nicking some food (She won't tell Mom. Dad might be proud. Who knows.) to divide among them. She had left cute little invitations with happy flowers for Ishimaru and the Doctor, though she hadn't indicated that she had invited more than them along.
With a cared-for scarf wrapped loosely around her neck, Vivian adjusted it and paused to look over her set up. Excited by the results nearly matching the pictures in her book, she clapped her hands ecstatically and plopped on the blanket to face the school, waiting for her precious parents to arrive.
This will be nice!!

"Well, it looks like you have enough food," the rotund genius said, taking himself a seat. Time to get this over with, I mean, have a pleasant lunch.
Sure hope someone he finds totally obnoxious doesn't show up too! But that would never happen, right?

Kiyotaka was normally the kind of guy to be ridiculously early to things, because punctuality was a desirable and responsible trait, after all! There was actually a really wild and crazy story about why he was delayed to the point of only being a few minutes ahead of schedule, but that was best saved for another time.
(Spoilers for the moral though: never, ever associate with Crazy Hand.)
When he arrived to find Robotnik already on the scene, his normally stern face instantly became even more disapproving than usual. Why was he...? Well, Vivian cared about him. For some reason. That reason clearly being because he did something when he reprogrammed her.
It never did sit well with Kiyotaka that he'd been allowed to do so in the first place. But it seemed a lot stranger to him back when he had any faith in the way this school was run.
...He should probably say something and not just stare angrily.
"Er... Good afternoon."
Right. Be cordial.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to write all these tags like I'm high as fuck.
Vivian giggled when the Doctor had arrived and her eyes practically lit up when Taka had followed in his wake. Man, her two favorite people, always taking care of her... Hooray!
"Everyone is here," she stated, reaching to pick up a plate of cute little sandwiches that there was no way in Hell she made on her own. Will anyone call her out? "I read picnics make everyone happy! And it's a nice day. I did really well..." The last part is more a whisper than anything, but someone has to tell her she did.
Sandwich plate back down and surrounded by sweets and salads and little juice cartons, she looked between them both because family first.

He pointed at Taka. "What is HE doing here?" he asked grumpily.

"Vivian, what is the meaning of all this?"

"It's a picnic... Uhm - " Behind her is a medium-sized messenger bag - a little too big for her body but not too much for her strength capacity - white and dirtied with bold variations of red polka dots. She flips it open and pulls out a picture book with bears on the cover that reminded her of Nancy. Aww.
"This family looks happy because of the picnic, so..."

He brought his hand to his mouth, coughing to misdirect attention. "Never mind," he said. "Let's have a picnic."
He quickly shot a glare at Taka. "Sit down." The 'or else' was implied.

Two out of three ain't bad, but...
"Vivian, this man is a dangerous lunatic."

"He helped me, Taka!" And she smiled. "Like you! You and the Doctor are great parents."

Except this time he would not, because it didn't matter how poor a caretaker he thought Eggman was. The truth was, he had been just as unfitting. Vivian was blinded by naivete to think otherwise.
So he sat, even though he was suddenly lacking any appetite. Maybe if he just... ignored Eggman and went through the motions and got this over with, Vivian would be happy and he could have more of a word with her in private.
"...Did you make all of this yourself?"
no subject
Well, she wasn't really capable of lying.
"It's from the cafeteria..." Somewhere.

Eggman was gonna make this hurt, Taka. Your body better be ready.

He narrowed his eyes at Eggman, but... fine. He could deal with this for Vivian. For now.
"Everything is prepared and arranged very well! Right, excellent work!" The only flaw was in her choice of guests.

Vivian took a little sandwich and bit at it a few times, but she was mostly rolling ideas in her mind about what to do next. They played games at the picnic, too...
"We can play games," she said to them. "Uhm... Tug of War, but war is bad so, uhm, Tug." God. "Hide and Seek was another one, I think. Uhm..."
LAWN DARTSno subject
He was still grumpy.
He threw a lawn dart at Taka's face.no subject
"We're not going to play while eating!" That would lead to messes and stomach aches and who needed any of that noise? "We can eat, but then I have to study and I'm sure the doctor has important teacher duties to attend to!"
Except not because the faculty here were almost all a joke.
YEARS LATER
DISAPPOINT. And it was really showing on her face. She was right back to feeling like she made a mistake.
"I made an error. I'm sorry."
She picked up a sandwich and nibbled at it. "I'll make a better picnic next time."
YEAH MOM.

STOP CRYING. YOU'RE MAKING HIM FEEL EMOTIONS.
