Ah, how beautiful friendship is!

Who: Kiyotaka, Hajime, Brown, Eikichi
What: A much-needed vacation featuring new tiny animal friends
When: Backdated from August 3ish to August 20ish
Where: Kaloslosloslos
Warnings: Contains seafood

So the last few weeks certainly had been A Time. From waking up to find that he'd been temporarily removed from time and space for a couple of weeks to nightmares about a dark future to having the sun be swallowed up by the sky, Kiyotaka was pretty much through with summer. Through with this school. Through with this entire city, really. He needed a break from it or something, or he was going to lose his mind. Again.

What luck it was, then, that on his way to replace his reading glasses (he found them broken when he woke up from his weird state of non-existence, much to his chagrin) he came across a lottery booth that was offering a free spin to every 50th passer-by. Even luckier was that he managed to win said lottery, despite not being Super High School Level Good Luck. And it was more than just a cheap prize! It was a trip to Kalos!

...He had no idea where that even was.

That was fine - a quick bit of Google-fu told him enough. A beautiful region filled with Pokemon? What he really wanted was a chance to go back to Japan, but of course his efforts to call the airport and see if he could switch it were met with lost connections and dial tones. So Kalos it was. Any chance to leave the city at all was more than welcome.

But who was he going to take? They gave him a family bundle, including four tickets. His first thought was Mondo, but... since February, their relationship had been severely strained. Even if they were finally talking again, things were still so rocky that maybe a trip was not such a good idea. He intended to bring him back something, though.

Hajime was a must, being the one Kiyotaka was closest to these days. There was also a nagging discomfort at the thought of leaving him alone that he couldn't connect to anything, but he hadn't felt it before he dreamed of the apocalypse. Besides, Hajime seemed just as tired of everything as Kiyotaka was.

Next was Brown, another bosom buddy. How he went from being That Delinquent Asshole to being That Delinquent Asshole Who Was Also A Friend was anyone's guess, but Kiyotaka was glad for his friendship and some of his happiest moments lately were when he and Hajime and Brown were all together.

That left one more ticket... Maybe Mondo really could come and--

Wait, no, there was another travel partner written in the stars. Literally. When Eikichi informed Kiyotaka that his horoscope said a friend would take him on a grand journey, Kiyotaka scoffed and said it couldn't possibly be him, but when he pointed to the Virgo blurb to prove it he found that his said something along the same lines. Unbelievable. So he got mad about horoscopes and the whole researching their validity thing he got himself wrapped up in but begrudgingly invited Eikichi along just so the ticket didn't go to waste.

AND SO THEY WENT.

TO KALOS.
