Four was a good number for a group of explorers. All of them showed an interest in wanting to venture down into the tunnels, and even though Pit had gone a few times already, he wanted to go more. Finally he was able to organize for all of them to meet together at the same time in the dorm lobby where they would pop the top off the tile and delve into the bunkers to the subterranean passage. It turned out that Watt had already gone before, but she wanted to go again. Besides, she would be a valuable ally to have- she was like a light bulb, and it was dark down there! Sonny promised to do a lot of the lifting when they brought back the trophy they were searching for. Their goal was to snag one of the Pokemon trophies and bring it back for an X-ray evaluation to see what was inside. Pokemon Centers were free, after all.

They journeyed through the stretch of bunkers until they reached the entrance to the tunnels. "Here we are," announced Pit. He brought the same Aquarius Blade weapon he had last time, since he noticed it had the capacity to OHKO the phantomlike enemies that appeared for him two of the times he went. "Are we ready? The moment we go in, monsters might appear. The ones that tend to show up first are defeated by continuous physical attacks. That means you can't stop hitting them once you start, or else they just regenerate when you leave them alone. It might be better to divide them all up between us when they come so we can stop them from doing that."

"I'm ready!" Sonny said with a nod and a few mock punches. "Don't worry about the bad guys. I always get good grades in Smash Fundamentals. They won't know what hit them once I get started!"

And if they ran into anything really big, he could always transform into a Snorlax. Then nothing could stand in their way!

"Also? If anyone gets hungry, I bought us all some sandwiches, little bags of chips and some juice boxes." he said, shuffling the backpack on his shoulders. There was enough kindergartener grade snack foods in that puppy to last them all three days, so long as Sonny was careful about his portion sizes.

Like Pit, Watt had also explored down the crypts of the bunkers before, although last time she was with a group of burly men (and, well, a tiny hacker student). Still, with hearing that apparently some people, like that Rick guy, went down to the bunkers and never returned, she was determined to find out what else was going down. For a little ball of light, she looked very determined!

"I'm ready too!" Watt called out to the group, nodding. "Um, obviously, I can light and lead the way so we won't bump into anything or get lost or something..." she trailed off, looking up at the ceiling. "Not that we'll get lost, I mean. Um, I remember a lot of the corridors when going down to the bunkers and all."

Ema's not much of a fighter; rather, she's here out of scientific curiosity. She hasn't come completely unprepared, however. She's stocked her bag with first aid supplies in case something bad happens, as well as some of her forensics supplies in case she has a chance to examine the area more closely. And she has a bat she found, in case she absolutely has to hit something. She'd rather not, thought.

"I'm ready, so let's go!" she says, excited and a little frightened. "I can't wait to see what's up with those statues."

Pit smiled at his companions after they confirmed their readiness, pleased to hear how seriously they were taking it. "It sounds like everyone really prepared for this. That's great! I can't see anything going wrong with a crew like ours. I'll lead the way. Watt, stay close to my position so we can see what's up ahead, but we should probably also be weary of what's behind us. Sonny, you're big and tough! You can go to the rear and make sure nothing sneaks up from behind."

With that said, the little commander took the first steps forward, into the hole in the wall that lead into a cavernous darkness. An ominous pressure pervaded at either fork of the tunnel- two abysses saturated by an unknown presence. The angel took the right one and kept his eyes peeled for the monsters he had encountered twice. However... what happened next was not prescripted.

Something like a tire came rolling toward them. It was hard to make out from afar, and Pit had been expecting the creepy red eyes to show up, not a distant moving object. "Wait, stop! Something's coming! I don't recognize it."

It is OK!

Sonny was fine with taking up his position in the rear. He was probably a little slower than the others when it came to general walking speed too, so he felt good about not having to force his pace.

He did move forward when Pit mentioned something coming towards them.

"I can't tell either! How likely is it to be friendly?"

"Nnnnot very likely," Pit replied, a bit shakily since he was rolling all his focus up into that weird ball that was bowling straight for them. He tensed up. "Everyone, jump-!"

Even though he leaped into the air, the tirelike thing cracked open and released a charge of electricity, arresting both him and Watt in its field for about five seconds.

Ema only barely dodged out of the way in time, and ended up splayed on the ground. She went to raise the bat to protect herself, but realized that it had fallen out of her hand and rolled several feet away. She tried to reach for it, but the tire-thing was aiming for her now.

"Sonny! Do something!" she yelled, trying to scramble toward Pit and Watt as the tire-thing readied another jolt.

"Right!" Sonny yelled, happy to take Ema's advice.

He ran towards the creature, changing from a man into a Snorlax without missing a step. White light flooded the corridor for a moment as he crashed into the creature. The air suddenly became super chilled as he fired off a Blizzard attack at point blank range. (It didn't have great accuracy, so, the closer you were the better your chances to make contact with icy winds and hunks of ice!) He could see his own breath as he hollered a challenge:

"LAX!"

"EEK!!" Watt screamed as the shock of the tire enemy released a crackle of electricity. Although she didn't feel hurt too much, it was the sudden attack that startled her more than anything.

What happened next was even more amazing. She stared in awe as Sonny Moe turned into a giant...teddy bear thing and charged up a beam of ice at their enemy. "Go, Sonny, go!!" she cheered on as the Pokemon let out a war cry.

It seemed that the tire-like enemy wasn't going to let up after that massive attack, and in the end, still attempted to charge towards Sonny! "Can you hold it off?!" she asked frantically.
