Apple Kid felt that Wheatley would somehow harm himself if he allowed someone else to try to revert him completely back to running solely on his old OS. All of those operating systems from the 199Xs were, well, old by this point. Outre. Out of fashion. Buggy. Before the dawn of Open Source, before the creation of high speed wireless connections. There was so much more that could be done, and yet.
And yet, he was dealing with a robot with full sentience. There was little he could do to fix the problem himself, without further enraging Wheatley.
"I understand," he said. "Should you have any difficulty in the future, please remember that I would be more than happy to assist, if you asked."
