"I've learned over the course of my time in this world. It wasn't a skill I needed back home."
It wasn't something young men of his upbringing were taught. And once he'd left home, it certainly wasn't a priority.
"So, do me a favor, if I'm terrible at it just let me know. I'll go and fetch you a drink and we'll sit down for a while and chat instead."
