[OPEN] Hey look out for that moving van
Who: Ema Skye and YOU
What: She's new, come pick on her.
Where: Outside, around campus
When: March 9th
Warnings: None
Ema had begged the detective who was supposed to take her to the airport not to tell her sister that she was coming here instead. Lana had enough on her mind, what with the sentencing hearing in a few days and the loss of her job, to worry about Ema's new choice of high school. Sure, it'd come up eventually, but it was a topic that could wait for a little while.
She gave the detective a little wave as he drove off, then started to lug her suitcase across campus. She looked back and forth like she was watching tennis, taking it all in. It was a lot different from Capcom High (what was with the big clock tower, anyway?).
Well, now was not the time to get nervous or discouraged! She chose this path, now she has to walk it. Like Mr. Edgeworth! Only maybe with fewer forgery accusations and a less tacky office.
With newfound resolve, Ema steels herself and continues walking across campus, unafraid of the challenges ahead!
Only... she has no idea where to go.
She waves down the first person she sees. "Um, excuse me?"

The case being, poking her in the back with a knobby metal finger and a curious gurgle.

"Hey, who do you think... you... are?"
It's a little robot.
That wasn't what she expected at all.
no subject
It bounced on its knees a little, and waved at her.
no subject
Getting over her initial shock, she smiles and waves back.
"Hi! I'm Ema. Who are you?" A pause. "Uh, if you can talk."
She doesn't know. Can robots talk?

She looks at the question asked her.
"Yes?" replies Mukuro in a polite tone. "Are you in need of something?"
no subject
But she seems nice. Ema smiles, if still a little wary. Only murderers carry weapons like that, right...?
"I'm new here and don't really know where to go. Do you mind showing me?"
no subject
"Where is it that you would like to go first? The dormitories or...?"

"Well hello there, babe! Can Michel help you with anything?"
no subject
She bristles a little. "My name is Ema, and I'm new. I'm not sure where to go."
It would be helpful if there was a big flashing sign that said "NEW KIDS OVER HERE" or something.
no subject
"Well you're in luck then, Ema-babe, I'd be glad to show you around. Did you pop up from another universe or come here willingly?"

He's convinced it's just someone who looks like her until he hears her voice, and then he is fairly sure...
Walking closer to confirm, he can't help but smile when he knows for sure. "Ema! I didn't know you were here!"
no subject
She closes the gap between them, smiling brightly. For her it's only been a few months, but she's still missed him.
But what is he doing here?
"You're... not still in school, are you!?"
Did she let a high school student defend her sister!?
no subject
Needless to say, he grimaces a bit at that question, looking comically annoyed.
"N-no, I'm a teacher. Political science."
Wait, didn't Ema know that? She was here before... Come to think of it, she doesn't look any older...
"Wait, I thought you knew that, though!"

He was eating bunches of bananas. Whole. Peels and that woody stem bit and everything. And making satisfied little grunting noises while he chewed. Mmm Mmm good!
Upon seeing someone new, however, he held a bunch out to her and smiled toothily. He liked meeting new people and he didn't know many people who didn't enjoy bananas! So. Welcome to Smash Academy, Ema! Have a banana!
no subject
What is that!? What even is that!? Some kind of bear!? It's showing its teeth! Is it going to eat her!?
Ema jumps back, not even noticing the bananas yet, and assumes (what she imagines is) a defensive stance.
"What- who are you!?"
no subject
Poor girl.
Well, it was easily fixed. There was a flash of white light and a POMF noise and suddenly instead of a seven foot bear standing in front of her, there was a chubby boy with rough looking hair and stubble, standing about 5'10" and still grinning a toothy grin.
"Hi! I'm really sorry I scared you, Miss. Would you like a banana?"

ready to wrap up this thread?
Sounds good!

His face quickly brightens when, oh hello, a cute brunette was asking him. She looked like the bookish type, judging by her style. Then again, fashion had done a strange turn.
Still, can't go wrong with making a show of carefully closing his book -not to mention making the title of said book rather clear for her to be able to see it- and giving her a charismatic smile, "oh 'sup! Never seen you 'round before, new kid on the block?"
no subject
She can't remember what it's about or who wrote it.
But thank goodness he's paying attention to her!
"Yes, I am! I just transferred here, and I'm not sure where to go or what to do..."
no subject
Wait no, that's not really something a new kid would like to hear.
Assuming that this girl didn't have some sort of interest of blowing things up, you couldn't be too sure. But he was giving that thought a lot of doubt, a cute girl like this wouldn't do something like that!
Right...?
"In-joke, don't think of it much," Brown awkwardly added. "But yeah, you mostly talk to the hands and they'll oughta sort things out pretty quick."

"Hello. Query: do you require assistance?"
no subject
Ema seems surprised to be approached by this one - robots are still a pretty new thing to her! But she's curious, and it seems friendly!
"Um, I do! I'm new here, and I'm not sure where to go."
