Combat Strategies Class 1

Who: Nyx and her students
What: Combat Strategies class
Where: The stadium
When: January 7th
Warnings: Nyx existing? Hitting inanimate objects with things?

[Instead of meeting inside the stadium as usual, today, when Nyx's studens come to her class, she is waiting for them outside the entrance.]

Alright, we're gonna do things a little bit differently today. I got a coupl'a different obstacle courses available for you to choose from in there, and you're gonna have to get through 'em to the best of your ability.

There's targets set through the courses. I want you to break 'em. Don't matter what order, how long it takes, just try to get all of 'em done. Normally, these courses come with a couple items, some weapons that ought'a make life easier for you. You ain't gonna have access to 'em now.

If you're used to a weapon or think you need one, I'll let you have it. I want you workin' with shit you're comfortable with. The point'a doin' this ain't just to get you goin' through it, I wanna see where you're at as far as different environments and situations goes, see where I ought'a be focusing.

[With that explained, she leads the class inside, and instructs them to take seats on the bleachers.]

When it's your turn, come on up here and choose which course you're gonna want to do, an' if you're gonna need a weapon. Then, stadium's yours. You got as much time as you need, and you can quit early if you gotta skip out, but your grade's gonna look the worse for each target left when you leave the stage.

[She looks around at the class, making sure they all understand, and nods.]

Alright, whenever someone's ready, come up an' give it a shot.

[There in the group stood that one short fellow with the weird helmet and the wide eyes, watching and listening intently. He had been waiting for a chance like this, an opportunity to find out what exactly he was capable of, stepping out of his comfort zone by rating himself against someone else's standards. Having been self-taught in combat all his life, he was ready for an experienced mentor to show him what and where he could improve. Though his expression wouldn't readily show it, the excitement he felt was noticeable through the tingling static charge surrounding his body.]
