Who: YOU
What: SNOW
When: DECEMBER 6th
Where: EVERYWHERE
WHAT: SNOW (BONUS TREE DECORATING)

As a quiet Friday dawned on the school's campus, one could perhaps...feel it in the air. A creeping chill, a silent, barely-detectable indication that yes. Tonight would be the night.

By Saturday morning, the entire academy would be covered in snow.

BUT WAIT

That wasn't all--a large pine tree had made an appearance on the main quad, in desperate need of decoration.

"I think many would share that sentiment," Soryk replied, feeling a surprising kinship with her words. "For some, fighting and wars are all they have. Take that from them and they would not know what to do with themselves. Yet on the same token, put them on the field and all they feel is the sensation."

Because it was a feeling he never forgot. Never one to really be on the front lines of battle, Soryk liked the rush of power he got when life was stripped. Not from him, of course, but others. And he could understand the adrenaline Ellistree must have obtained when steel clashed with steel, sparks were born, and tension filled the air.

Soryk would be right on the mark when he commented on the thrills of the battlefield. Ellistree smiled and relaxed back a little, her hands behind her to prop her up.

"It's what you grow up with you know? Well, most of us. And then, depending on what road we take in life, we still get engaged with the concepts of war and combat, no matter how little or extensive it may be. It eventually stops being something you could do and it ends up being more of a way of life." In more ways than one.

"Though, I guess I don't mind having peace every once in a while... but I can't say that having nothing to do doesn't make me restless."

He nodded as he listened, finding no disagreement in most of what she said. It was odd, to have something they could discuss without feeling as if he was standing against her. Not that he ever would have called her a 'friend,' per se, but rather that as long as they lived in the world that housed FDC, there was a truce between them. But if they had been in Azeroth...

Well. Back there, just about everyone was an enemy, and none so much more so than his own kind, with their backstabbing and vile, underhanded schemes. Not that he was so much better as to completely avoid that kind of political and societal corruption.

"I have lived a life of peace," Soryk admitted. "It was not so grand." In fact, he seemed to recall it involved seeing his parents and listening to them badger him about his wife-to-be and when they'd potentially be spawning endearing little half-elves.

"Took a break for a while then?" she asked now curiously. There were always those who preffered to try and avoid the conflicts, be it during the times of war, or peace and everyone had their respective reasons, some more valid than others.

"Involuntarily, yes. Evidently I am not invincible and I discovered that in a rather unfortunate manner." But still, what followed after that was reuniting with AtĂȘ and he couldn't very well dislike that completely.

"One thing led to another and somehow things never really go according to plan." Something that made him eye the ring upon his hand. Like even now he was bound to her, though they'd been apart from one another for too long of a time. But it was something that softened him all the same-- thoughts of her, and assuming that knowing the woman, she had long since moved on and found a line of men to seek her affections.

"What of you?" he finally asked.
