Who: YOU
What: SNOW
When: DECEMBER 6th
Where: EVERYWHERE
WHAT: SNOW (BONUS TREE DECORATING)
As a quiet Friday dawned on the school's campus, one could perhaps...feel it in the air. A creeping chill, a silent, barely-detectable indication that yes. Tonight would be the night.

By Saturday morning, the entire academy would be covered in snow.
BUT WAIT

That wasn't all--a large pine tree had made an appearance on the main quad, in desperate need of decoration.

But he quickly turned her mind back onto the stone she was the fortunate recipient of, "Perhaps his gift was a means of bribing me. He knows what I'm capable of, after all, and very few people here actually understand the extent of what I can do. I mean to keep it that way, otherwise no one would actually trust me."
With one arm occupied by his, she motioned idly with the other, "But yes. Evidently a fourth form. I think, anyway. We'll find out if Phoenix ever decides to use it on me. As it stands, I have no idea. I'll be sure to tell you all about it if he does."
no subject
Her comment about trusting her, however, snapped him out of his remembrances of friends gone from the academy.
"I'd always trust you. I don't care what you can do. There's no power you could have that would make me think you were someone not to trust!" He reassured her with a smile and a gentle squeeze of her occupied arm. He'd trusted Dana, after all! And Arceus! And Arceus could do anything.
no subject
When he squeezed her arm, her grasp about his tightened. Looking over to him, she nodded slowly as she heard him, wondering if he felt so the same if he truly understood where she was coming from. She was sure he knew of her prying ways. She'd told him, after all, rather early on in their relationship, because it was when she also said she wanted to get to know him without the need to do such a thing.
So perhaps he just didn't see how many people would be uncomfortable with that notion. Without a proper defence, chances were that Voile could make everyone an open book.
"I adore you," she found herself saying, without really catching it. At least not until it was already out, which caused her to clear her throat and she looked aside somewhat shyly. "That is, thank you for being so kind to me."
no subject
"I adore you too!" he replied, not shyly in the slightest, his grin showing like 90% of all of his teeth. "And you don't have to thank me for being kind. I enjoy being kind to you, and you're probably even kinder to me so it's OK! It all evens out!"
no subject
"We are kind to each other. I think that is what matters. Not how much, but just simply that we are. But keep up that flattery, and people just might get jealous of me- seeing that such a nice guy is so nice to me."
no subject
Which might fall into the category of flattery, too. However, was it really flattery if he actually genuinely meant it?
They were getting closer to the dorms, now and he could almost taste that hot chocolate already!
"I'm glad we can be kind to each other. And just spend time together at all, really? I've missed it."
no subject
"...Yes. Me too," the gardevoir finally agreed. "I should think I'd like to forget any of my other engagements and just spend today with you. Everything else can wait until later."
no subject
The feeling of her hugged so tight against his arm was enough to give him goosebumps. How he'd missed this kind of contact with her! He almost wished that his dorm was actually further away so they could spend more time walking there! But as it happened, the door was in front of them all too soon.
He used his free hand to open it and peered inside - Looked as though they had it to themselves!
"Come in!" he said.
no subject
Although perhaps the concept of being in a rumour with her wouldn't have been the worst thing ever.
Voile hurried herself in, but almost immediately slowed afterward, in favour of looking around with some consideration. How much had really changed since she'd last been there? She actually couldn't even remember the last time they were alone together in such a way. It had been some time she guessed.
"...Hm... This is a little more tidy than I was expecting," she admitted with a smile.
no subject
"Because I don't live with my Brother anymore? I think I should always try to be a little neater." he replied, removing his Ukulele from his computer chair and setting it aside so she had a place to sit if she wanted to sit there. "Mac is a really nice guy! I like him a lot! But it's still a little different than living with Vinnie."
The biggest difference was that the other side of the room was covered in weights and Mac's boxing memorabilia instead of being a miniature amazon rainforest.
no subject
"That's right. Your roommate is Mac. I don't know him very well, but everyone here knows who he is. He's always seemed like a sweet boy. I bet he's very different from Vinnie, however. And why wouldn't he be? Mac's not into plants or flowers, I'll guess."
Just judging from a look around. "You're comfortable here, I take it. I should hope, anyway. It'd be just like you to sometimes just accept something when you didn't want it."
no subject
He set about making sure his kettle was full and powered on so they could start making hot chocolate.
"And he doesn't mind me practicing my Ukulele, either. Or my snoring sometimes. At least, he never complains." Huh. Maybe it was Mac putting up with being uncomfortable? Hopefully not!
no subject
She was pretty sure he wouldn't actually do that. Although to be fair, it was unlikely that Cammy would even care. She'd probably be in full support of it, knowing her.
"But since you guys get along, that makes it a little easier for everyone, I guess. No fighting. No stress. Nothing like that. How simple."
no subject
He took a seat on the bed while he waited for the water to heat up.
"Oh! Did you want any snacks? I have some chips and some candy? I didn't know you would be coming over? Otherwise I would of made sure to have some fruit." He said, his tone a little apologetic towards the end. "Would you like me to go and get you some apples?"
Note to self: If she was going to be visiting more often - and fingers crossed that was the case - invest in a fruit bowl and something relevant to fill it with.

As she sat, she tried to remember how they spent time in the past together. There was an odd kind of tension that sat in her shoulders in the present, as if she couldn't recall. But older days were different. They were dating. That made a difference.
"Listening to you, you'd think this was the first time you got to be in such close proximity with me. What has you so up in arms?"
no subject
"If you say the cocoa is enough that's good! But if you change your mind, I could go and get you something. OK? Just let me know! The kitchen isn't far away and it wouldn't be any trouble."
no subject
"If anything, I just like having you near me. If I'm allowed to say it. If I asked you to go somewhere, I wouldn't get to without seeing you. And you'd be so distracted that you wouldn't be interested in looking at me any further." In short, she was flirting with him.
Just a little, anyway.
no subject
"You're allowed to say it! I really like to hear it. And it doesn't matter where I went, I would always be interested in looking at you further so don't worry about that, OK?"
Frankly, he could do nothing but look at her all day. Which is why it took him a good three or four seconds to realize that the water in the little electric kettle was well and truly boiling.
no subject
She began to lift out of her seat as she motioned at the kettle, "Do you need some help or do you have everything under control? I certainly don't mind giving you a hand if you need it."
no subject
"Nope! I can handle it! You're the guest so you don't have to do anything!" he replied, being as gracious a host as he knew how to do. He grabbed his container of instant cocoa packets and held it out toward her. "Pick a flavor?"
no subject
AND BAILEYS? Simple enough and nothing too fancy."Offering the packets back over to him, she smiled, "What is your favourite kind of cocoa?"
no subject
BAILEYSI love the candy cane kind." he said, pulling out a packet that had a diagonal red and white striped motif to it. "It's chocolatey and minty at the same time!"He tore each packet open and tipped them into two cups before remembering something. "OH! Wow, I can't believe I nearly forgot!" he said, opening one of his desk drawers and pulling out a bag with actual regularly sized marshmallows in it. It had been opened already, but there were still a lot in there. "Do you want some in yours? How many?"
no subject
She tapped at her chin as she watched him, somewhat attentive. "Although I bet if they made a Doritos flavour, you'd go after it. Or a-" Should she have? Why not. "-one supposedly flavoured after me. I think you'd go for either of those as well."
As she leaned back in her chair, she fidgeted a little, which was really just her way of keeping herself busy. "Why don't you surprise me? I like marshmallows a lot and if you ask my preference, I might just have more marshmallows than cocoa."
no subject
He didn't even know what it might taste like exactly, but hey. He was loyal to the brand.
"I didn't know you liked them that much!" he replied, pouring in the hot water and adding two marshmallows to each cup. Not enough to block her ability to drink the cocoa itself.
He walked over to the bed and handed her the cup with her selected cocoa in it. "Enjoy!"
no subject
She took the cup he offered her and after a long drink, she smiled. Beamed, practically. "Thank you, Sonny. This is perfect. Nice and warm- unlike that snowfall out there."
