Who: YOU
What: SNOW
When: DECEMBER 6th
Where: EVERYWHERE
WHAT: SNOW (BONUS TREE DECORATING)

As a quiet Friday dawned on the school's campus, one could perhaps...feel it in the air. A creeping chill, a silent, barely-detectable indication that yes. Tonight would be the night.

By Saturday morning, the entire academy would be covered in snow.

BUT WAIT

title or description

That wasn't all--a large pine tree had made an appearance on the main quad, in desperate need of decoration.

Nothing can possibly go wrong.

Giving up on her observations and keeping to his side, Vivian nodded. "Okay. I'll do what you ask."

Ah, how exciting. She knew she could help Dr. Robotnik but this was the first time another student had really requested her assistance without prompt. Maybe she really could fit in if she did well!

Oh I'm so glad

Apple Kid took out his over-sized hair dryer, and pointed it at the tree. He turned it on. A sound like a high-powered car engine began. Tinsel started shooting out of it and spraying on the tree, festooning its branches with silver streamers.

Over the sound Apple Kid shouted, "IT WORKS LIKE THIS."

Vivian watched him closely, observing everything he did in order to repeat it flawlessly and be as helpful as possible. When the machine suddenly began to expel an eye-catching beauty Vivian had never seen before, her eyes lit up with wonder. What was that? What was he doing to the tree?!

She couldn't help but want to immediately assist him! She was very good with gun-like devices, after all. She was confident in this.

Vivian looked to the box he had been toting around earlier and picked up one of the inventions sitting in the box. [[am I right to assume he had multiples]] She held it with an enthusiasm but wanted to be sure she was okay to go.

"THAT ONE," shouted Apple Kid, after looking at the device, "SHOOTS RED BOWS. IF YOU'D LIKE TO TRY IT OUT, GO AHEAD."

"Red bows," she muttered to herself, fascinated so greatly by his machine that she couldn't begin to imagine how amazing hers would be when activated. Vivian turned toward the tree and took aim, and with a press of the trigger and a whisper of, "Deploying," she launched a number of bows all at once into the sturdy branches. Silver eyes grew wide, fascinated by the concept that a gun of sorts could shoot more than bullets.

With the way this lifted her spirits, you wouldn't believe she had been so sullen just prior. Not thinking much about what she was doing, she turned with the gun still aimed forward, forgetting that she could just, you know, look at him without turning her entire body.

And on that day, Apple Kid was shot beautiful with bows.

"IF YOU WOULD REMOVE YOUR FINGER FROM THE TRIGGER," suggested Apple Kid as the eighth bow hit his snazzy overalls-winter-coat combination (so snaz, so fresh), "I WOULD APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH."

"Aaah!" Vivian suddenly let go of the trigger as requested and quickly dropped the hair dryer into the snow. She rushed over to Apple Kid and, with hesitation, went to pluck a bow off his chest.

"I'm sorry! My mistake!"

"Yes, thank you," said Apple Kid. "A safety mechanism seems to be in order," he replied. "So that it can only shoot at non-sentient entities, such as trees or walls or festive holiday table-settings."

Vivian considered what he was saying, knowing her guns fairly well enough to feel confident in offering some input. She sniffs back some snot and Apple Kid's B.O., but she doesn't seem to react much to it.

"Heat," she said rather suddenly. She tapped the chassis on her chest and then poked her finger into his chest. "Laser targeting but activates to temperature," she suggested.

"What about the case of robots?" he asked. "Or cold-blooded creatures such as lizards or fish? All of these should have a lower heat-signature than a warm-blooded creature such as a human or antelope."
